Bought the Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Chrome Lined DE safety razor with feather blades. After years of using disposable and electric this razor was a revelation. I’ve started to shave my head and this razor requires no pressure the weight of it is sufficient. Went over twice and am delighted with outcome. The razor itself looks and feels very luxurious. It is much easier to use than I expected and will add pleasure to my morning routine. A word of thank to Mike Atkin who has been very helpful and professional.

I always find you can judge a company best when you have a problem. I had a shaving set for a few months and loved it. I had a problem with the brush and contacted them. I could not find my receipt but they tracked down my order and sent out a replacement in a couple of days. Charlotte who dealt with it was very professional, helful an polite, thanks and very much appreciated.

It took a while to find the right phone number, and they didn't reply to any of the messages I sent on the contact form, but when I got through they dealt with the problem (faulty razor handle) quickly and efficiently. For UK customers, the email .co.uk, not .com.

I was given a “best badger” shaving brush as a present, with a little stand, around ten years ago. The brush is still as good as new, and hasn’t dropped a single hair! It lathers up the shaving gel much better than a cheap brush too. I’m really pleased that there are still some companies supplying high quality products that stand the test of time. I’d definitely buy from them again.

I was given an Edwin Jagger razor and stand over twenty years ago as a birthday gift. Recently the razor blade holder broke, and it was also getting more difficult to source the type of blades it takes. I contacted their customer services for help and advice and they suggested I send in the razor to see if a repair was possible. In around two weeks I was sent a replacement razor as a repair wasn’t practicable. This was free of charge. I am delighted with the courteous and efficient service: the company went above and beyond what I could have reasonably hoped for. I can’t speak too highly of the service I received.

Have numerous products from this company which are superb, Waiting for products to get back in for months they’ve never get back to you. Have y y d to phone and emailed. All stuff actually received over years has been high quality though.. Real shame (:

Contacted customer services several times over many weeks using both phone and e-mail. Never got a response either time despite pasting info directly from Amazon. It's been over a month now with nothing back from them yet.

Superb craftsmanship, which elevates functional shaving time to a hedonistic experience. And exceptional customer service to boot, when prompt detective work was required to track our parcel through the South African post office.

Awful, truly awful company customer service. Don’t waste your time or your money especially on shaving brushes or anything other than shaving creams. Spent £140 on a shaving brush that has less hair than Homer Simpson’s head now. I have tried to contact customer services multiple times now with no response. Please don’t make the same mistake as me and waste your hard earned money on this company.

Bought their razor in 2020 because I could not get the blades for my usual razor due to covid lockdown. It was not long before the paint pealed of the handle exposing the BRASS underneath. Now the threads attaching the handle to the head have disintergrated. These razors are NOT made of stainless steel. They have spent their money on marketing and not on making a quality product. Minus five stars.

Excellent prompt service and high quality product. I bought a shaving brush and razor set. It looks elegant and stylish, the razor has a good weight and badger hair do make the best shaving brushes…As a women, I hadn’t been able to find a razor that wasn’t pink, teal or frilly looking until I looked at Edwin Jagger. The razor is compatible with Mach 3 blades which is also really clever. The company is Sheffield based and I appreciate their heritage..They also supplied a sample of their lime and pomegranate shave cream which I will be purchasing as it smells really refreshing and having been in bed with an awful cold, was really appreciated.

DE razor top plate thread stripped after z little more than a years worth of use. E-mail to service dept resulted with an excuse that they were late in replying. Requested a photo of the razor which I duly sent. Answer the same day that a replacement top plate was sent out to me.

My wife wanted to buy me a shaving set costing £192 - not an insignificant sum - but wanted to ask some questions about it. She has tried repeatedly to call but it went to voicemail mostly although she did leave a message once. She has also emailed twice. No response. I wrote an email two days ago and still nothing. Shockingly poor service. I won't waste any more time with companies who are as pathetic as this in the way they treat their customers - actual or potential.

I’ve recently purchased EJ’s stainless steel 3ONE6 razor, having converted to DE shaving from using common garden multi blade razors about 10 years ago. The first best move I made was to switch to DE (these simply provide a far superior shave) and the second was, after much deliberation, to purchase the 3ONE6. I was currently using a lower ranked EJ DE razor but purchased the 3ONE6 as I had a gut feeling (strange I know) it would be a step up.

I’ve actually had several different DE razors over the years, including Merkur, but the 3ONE6 really does beat the lot. It does actually feel to hold the blade in place much more then other razors and this, combined with the handle grip, allows much more control when shaving. I’ve read that the 3ONE6 design allows the razor to be used at more angles then other razors and this too appears correct. It’s expensive but I feel that it’s value for money as you’ll not get a better razor anywhere at the moment. I went for the full stainless steel version rather than one of the coloured handled version as I felt the extra weight would help the shave and it certainly does. Before purchase I read that the razor gives an aggressive shave so perhaps is not for beginners...I’d class myself as having ordinary technique but I use the razor with Feather blades and have don’t feel it’s anymore aggressive at all.

If your in the market for a DE razor I’d recommend the 3ONE6 absolutely.

I was also sent a sample of EJs pre shave cream and this is very good and I would purchase this if it was more reasonably priced. I’d say EJs shave cream that I also use at the moment is not as good as the price suggests and recommend something like Proraso that can be purchased at a fraction of the price.

I ordered the traditional safety razer in imitation ivory and it seems OK. They included a sample of shaving cream. So why only 2 stars?
They claim to be a British manufacturer but the sample of shaving cream I received was 'made in the EU'. No part of the shaver says made in Britain. I suspect that they are just assembling bought in parts.
There are plenty of British companies making shaving accessories. They could easily buy British. I use Bull Dog which is superb.
£26 is a lot of money for a shaver. I paid that because I thought it was made in Britain. We are 'enjoying' massive climate change in the UK so to import parts from thousands of miles away is just no longer acceptable.
Can they really not make razor blades in Sheffield?
Then the flimsy cardboard box was quite torn by the time it reached me.

I see there have been some issues with the top plates of safety razors breaking. I have had that happen to me twice, but each time, I have taken a photo or sent back the piece and they have replaced it free of charge together with a free sample. So hats off to Amy in Repairs who had my replacement back within a week. Hopefully the company will address the manufacturing issue as their range of shaving products is excellent.

The worst company I have ever come across for customer service and the worst shaving experience I've had since I started shaving 60 years ago. I had forgotten how uncomfortable shaving with a traditional safety razor was, whilst I did contact the company to discuss the problems I was encountering I wasn't even given the courtesy of a reply. Over £30 wasted on this purchase, disgusting!
