Repair and return of instrument was quick from the time I sent the item.

I sent in the ECU from my Saab 9-3 after encountering the well-known error codes. The initial repair process was smooth—within 14 days, I had the unit removed, repaired, and reinstalled. After the repair, the car ran perfectly; the error codes disappeared, and I noticed improvements in responsiveness, fuel consumption, and overall driving experience.

Unfortunately, after 1,200 km, the error codes reappeared, causing limited driving performance. ECU Testing responded promptly, providing a detailed checklist to rule out any other potential sources of the issue. Once I had ruled them out, they honored the warranty and carried out another repair attempt. Again, after the repair, the car ran flawlessly. This time, they performed a complete rebuild of the ECU, demonstrating their thorough approach.

However, the fix only lasted a short time before the same issue returned. The ECU simply couldn’t hold up, and in the end, I had to replace it with a refurbished unit (as new ECUs are no longer available for my model). Despite this, ECU Testing handled the situation with professionalism and integrity, fully refunding the repair cost—leaving me responsible only for mailing fees.

Their dedication to customer satisfaction is outstanding, and although my ECU was simply beyond saving, I would still highly recommend their service anytime.

Mechatronic unit fault causing issues on Tiguan g/box clutch 1 position... Had local garage diagnose and remove g/box (VW Specialists)... to fit new VW unit approx £3.5k... ECUTesting contacted (and other repairers)... but there website very professional and gave us confidence...checked out there reviews...mainly good..(high plus percentage)...decided to try them...🙏
Took Mechatronic unit to them myself...very helpful to speak to them face to face... they repaired unit and returned it within 4 working days... had updates throughout the stages of repair...Local garage refitted...bit of a worry....garage said it took them 6 attempts to reload software 🤦‍♂️... they were about to give up on 5th attempt...but gave it one more try... and luckily it worked...phew!!!.... Local garage have used ECUTESTING before...and have had units that have failed...that's why they prefere to use OEM unit...but with approx £2k saving... we risked it... mainly due to confidence felt after viewing there website and speaking to them... always going to be a risk I suppose 🤷...anyway...5 weeks on...and car is driving fine...hope it lasts... a known VW issue...should be recall in my mind...(our vehicle late 2017 with 93300 miles covered)....🤞 it lasts 😬

My Instrument Cluster had a fault and was sending the engine(a 2007 Ford Focus) into limp mode. (Diagnosed by local garage.)
Upon doing some research I came across ECU Testing via their YouTube channel. Being that their charge for repair was about a third of the cost the garage had quoted, I quickly made arrangements for the collection of the Instrument Cluster. (I removed it myself)…it was collected on the Monday, I received a text to say they’d received it on Tuesday, by Wednesday I had a call to tell me that they could repair the part, and to get the go ahead. I swiftly received the part back on Thursday, put it back in its rightful place, and I am over the moon that my car is now working again!
I would highly recommend ECU Testing to anyone that needs their service! Top notch and very good pricing!

So my experience with this company was sublime, talking about fast service I can't think of another company I have dealt with over the years that had this speed of turnround of a repair along with excellent email communication regarding repair status, I have already recommended them to others. I personally would recommend them highly.

Fantastic company, we only use ECU testing for our business, they are so easy to deal with, keep you up to date with everything, even when they are super busy. i highly recommend them.

I paid hundreds of pounds while they kept my parts for many weeks.

They failed to diagnose the issue, which ultimately got fixed by my mechanic by trial and error.

I want my money back. You charged money for zero result.

Edit: Job number 1733761391939. I sent an email about this Jan 29. I received a meaningless reply on Feb 4. I followed up on Facebook on Feb 5. So far no meaningful reply.

Edit: Pestering my mechanic? Really? That guy is a saint who actually solved my problem - he does NOT need you wasting his time.

Edit: They are scared of replying in writing on the existing email thread. I wonder why.

Package was picked up from my house as arranged on Wednesday...Monday afternoon, ( today) got the call to say that testing of the ABS and electrical gizmo for the car was not possible. Its a Daewoo/Chevrolet/GM vehicle. They're going to send it back tomorrow, and, the bloke sai..we havent been able to do anything for you, thereforem, no charge. Including the P&P. Stunned, excellent service and great communication. Now I am telling friends and colleagues about the company like a telly evangelist.

Azienda molto seria ed affidabile. Ho mandato in riparazione un selettore marce di un cambio automatico Mercedes e devo confermare che hanno risolto il problema del blocco cambio con la revisione accurata del pezzo inviato,includendo garanzia a vita o kilometraggio illimitato sul lavoro svolto. Ne terrò conto per futuri problemi con l'elettronica delle auto.Grazie

Excellent service, that's saved me a lot of money. The information on the website helped me diagnose the problem was the gear selector on my automatic Mercedes E320. So, I removed it and sent it off for a refurb. Mine took a little bit longer as it was Christmas, but still a very quick turnaround. My car had been working perfect since receiving and re-installing the part.

Great result, second time we were used this company as we got a few cars, excellent, helpful with not over charges, well informed of every step they taken.
