We are a family run supplier of high quality flower bulbs and plants grown on our farms in the Netherlands. For more than four generations DutchGrown has been sending gardeners in the USA, the UK and across Europe strong healthy Dutch flower bulbs and plants they can rely on. We ship locally wherever possible. Orders in the USA come from our warehouse in Michigan. Orders in the UK leave from our warehouse in London. All European orders are packed and sent directly from our warehouse in the Netherlands. This means fast delivery and bulbs that arrive in excellent condition. Every bulb is carefully checked in Holland and stored under ideal conditions so it reaches you healthy and ready to grow. i BOUGHT (10) LARGE BLACK TULIPBULBS THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE SHORT TO THE POINT BUT I HAVE QUESTIONS STILL. I HAD TROUBLE ORDERING FURTHER ITEMS VIA SHOP/ I HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHOP EVEN IS? I LIVE IN NORTHEAST USA, DO I PLANT THESE TULIP BULBS OUTSIDE??? IN LATE SEPTEMBER: OUTSIDE? INSIDE? I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO PLANT THEM IN WHAT TYPE OF SOIL? IN US/ NORTHEAST WINTERS CAN LAST FROM OCTOBER TO LATE APRIL & TEMPS DROP TO BELOW ZERO OFTEN. AS IN WINTER, 2025 WHEN MINUS 14 DEGREES & SNOW WAS OVER MY HEAD EVERY MONTH! FOR (4) MONTHS. CAN DUTCH GROWN TULIPS SURVIVE IN GROUND IN SUCH WINTER TEMPS? I HAVE NO IDEA? NOTHING IN THE PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS HELPED ME TO FIGURE THIS OUT. I HAVE TO CALL DUTCH GROWN (AGAIN) TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO? VERY RIDICULOUS!

We are sorry to see a 3 star left because you still have questions about planting your tulips.

Tulips are absolutely suitable for growing outdoors in the Northeast and are very cold hardy. In fact, they require a period of cold weather in order to flower properly. They should be planted outdoors in fall, in well drained soil, before the ground freezes.

Our customer service team is always happy to answer planting questions, so there was no need to be left unsure about what to do. Please contact us directly and we will gladly help with any questions specific to your garden and growing conditions.

We would much rather have the opportunity to help than have you struggling to find the answers you need.

This was my first time planting fall bulbs. I have planted garlic in the fall but this was my first time for flowers.

This was my first time planting fall bulbs. Dutch Grown made the buying process quite easy and presented a very wide array of bulbs. I emailed them after about 2 weeks with questions that they answered fully. They even thanked me for my questions. I received my bulbs the following week. With the bulbs was a how-to booklet for planting each type of bulb with easy to follow instructions.

Beautiful healthy bulbs!

Pink Panther and Blue Sky Dutch Iris arrived on time, packaged well and easy tracking updates. Can't wait to get these beauties in the ground here in South Carolina.

I purchased Daffodils and they are our…

I purchased Daffodils and they are our first bulb flowers planted on this farm.I chose Yellow Parrot variety.Of all the bulbs only one felt somewhat soft and there was no mold or any reason to think that they won't grow.I planted the soft one along with all of the others because it's probably going to grow.I just planted them this past week so I won't have any more information on this until spring.I did receive an educational pamphlet about other bulb flowers which is nice because we have lots of other locations that need flowers.Also,I am a beekeeper so our plantings have a double purpose here.
