I thought my iris bulbs were coming…
I thought my iris bulbs were coming after I placed my order. I reached out to Dutchgrown and they responded immediately! They let me know that iris’s were a fall bulb and that they will be shipped during the time they should be planted! Well… they came right on time and the bulb are beautiful!
I received 25 bulbs in my order and have planted 10 so far! I will find the perfect place for the others. I can’t wait until springtime to get a glimpse of this radiant flowers! Thank you Dutchgrown!

So far
So far, so good. I haven’t planted the bulbs yet, but I’m very excited to get them in the ground. Tulips are my favorite and daffodils are a close second. This weekend I’m preparing the ground I’ll be planting them. I will keep a personal blog of my garden and then share the outcome. Wish me luck!! 🌷 🌼

I order every spring
I love DutchGrown! I went to the Michigan State campus and saw the most beautiful color combo of tulips. I went on the dutchgrown sight and found something very similar but even better right away… and on sale!

The order came early enough for me to add more soil to my flower bed to make sure the bulbs get covered properly. The squirrels dug up the last year's bulbs. Will also apply a deterrent to keep them away

Giant, healthy bulbs
This is my first order with Dutch Grown and I am very impressed. I ordered 25 Ambassador Allium bulb, they are healthy and extremely large! Larger than a baseball! I wish there was an option to include a picture. I cannot wait for blooms next spring.

i BOUGHT (10) LARGE BLACK TULIPBULBS THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE SHORT TO THE POINT BUT I HAVE QUESTIONS STILL. I HAD TROUBLE ORDERING FURTHER ITEMS VIA SHOP/ I HAD NO IDEA WHAT SHOP EVEN IS? I LIVE IN NORTHEAST USA, DO I PLANT THESE TULIP BULBS OUTSIDE??? IN LATE SEPTEMBER: OUTSIDE? INSIDE? I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO PLANT THEM IN WHAT TYPE OF SOIL? IN US/ NORTHEAST WINTERS CAN LAST FROM OCTOBER TO LATE APRIL & TEMPS DROP TO BELOW ZERO OFTEN. AS IN WINTER, 2025 WHEN MINUS 14 DEGREES & SNOW WAS OVER MY HEAD EVERY MONTH! FOR (4) MONTHS. CAN DUTCH GROWN TULIPS SURVIVE IN GROUND IN SUCH WINTER TEMPS? I HAVE NO IDEA? NOTHING IN THE PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS HELPED ME TO FIGURE THIS OUT. We are sorry to see a 3 star left because you still have questions about planting your tulips.
Tulips are absolutely suitable for growing outdoors in the Northeast and are very cold hardy. In fact, they require a period of cold weather in order to flower properly. They should be planted outdoors in fall, in well drained soil, before the ground freezes.
Our customer service team is always happy to answer planting questions, so there was no need to be left unsure about what to do. Please contact us directly and we will gladly help with any questions specific to your garden and growing conditions.
