Company replied to my complaint and…
Company replied to my complaint and simply said bad luck, your flight was delayed. No apology, no compensation just hard luck. Non existent service simply reinforced by their response.

To ensure we can manage vehicle availability for all our customers, we adhere to the following policy:
• Grace Period: We hold bookings for a maximum of 2 hours during branch opening hours. If you are going to be late, we ask that you notify the branch of your estimated arrival time.
• Vehicle Hold: We can only hold a specific booked vehicle for a maximum of 1 hour past the booked collection time. After this point, clients may be offered an alternative vehicle category (subject to availability), and charges may apply.
• Failure to Collect: Customers who fail to arrive on the day of collection are marked as a ‘No Show’ and charged up to 3 days rental. Please note that prepaid bookings are non-refundable.
If you require any further information regarding your booking or this process, please contact us through the Manage My Booking portal on the Drivalia.co.uk website.

Never use this company
Car went into limp mode (wouldn’t go over 19mph). The manager advised I just drove it regardless along a busy A road.
The wait for the recovery service took too long so I missed my flight. Drivalia . took no responsibility and said it was due to user error, they refused to recompense the expense of the additional flight or additional insurance I had taken with them.
Car engineers I have consulted have advised me that limp mode indicates a serious problem that must be investigated and that I could not have accidentally put the car into limp mode myself .
As less experienced driver may have followed the manager’s advice and driven a car limited to 19mph potentially with catastrophic consequences. I will never use this irresponsible company again.

Avoid with a barge pole
I had reserved a car for 14:00 hrs as my scheduled arrival time was 13:15 (hand baggage only). My flight was delayed and when I contacted Drivalia at 14:07 hrs I was informed that my booking had been cancelled by them and that their shuttle bus stopped at 14:00 hrs. So I was stranded at Belfast International Airport and left to swing. Appalling non service.

Amazing Customer Service!
Our flight was delayed arriving into Belfast international, we called the Drivalia desk as soon as I knew and Nick very kindly kept open until we arrived and we were able to rent the car that we really needed or we would have been stranded or paying ridiculous amounts for a taxi from the airport. The Service here is unmatched and customer service was excellent! We will be back to Drivalia every time, thank you!
