My Sharp microwave oven
My Sharp microwave oven, which is just two years old, got damaged when a part connected to the door-open switch broke, making it impossible to open the door. I first took it to a shop near Ballyraine, where I was told it could not be fixed. Since it was only two years old, I decided to try another shop, and DAS repaired it for just €15. Very reasonable price and very well-behaved staff. Highly recommended.

He quoted £9.90 because it was over £1000 to replace if it needed to be. Just broke down, tried getting in touch with them. There’s no such number, tried the website. That doesn’t exist either. Cancelled my DD, straight away. Last time it was paid was at the beginning of November last year. So whether they have been caught or what!I’ll get in touch with the bank about the DD guarantee. I was given a deal with whoopsie having just changed my utilities. About 12 mths later I was contacted by Domestic appliance care. Well spoken guy. He said that whoopsie had gone insolvent and they had taken over the business. Same deal 19.99. Even though I thought it a bit strange i went along with it. Only 9mths later have I just learned of this company or lack of. Im fuming. Anyway, I've been in touch with the bank and claimed the direct debit indemnity. I got an immediate refund of 159.00 they have agreed to look further at whoopsie

Terrible Terrible Terrible - spoke to an ok sales person. Sold me insurance for my washing machine & freezer - tried to sell me insurance for my boiler which I did not agree to - I only agreed to having information sent to me. He sent the confirmation email for the boiler cover with a complete different surname having sent the first one with the correct surname. This concerned me. Called him back to cancel the boiler cover. Did a little digging. The email they sent showing a .co.uk website does not work. The website for this company domesticappliancecare.com does not work.. alarm bells!! Emailed to cancel. They called me, I asked to cancel. He tried the hard sales pitch to get me to stay - I politely asked to cancel. He kept on trying to get me to stay. Eventually ended the call. He then called me back, the boiler cover was not cancelled from the day before. He was very condescending to me on the phone - eventually cancelled and ended the call...will they actually be cancelled or will they try and take the money. Stay away.. this screams alarm bells

This company is a complete and utter scam! The phone number does not connect, the websites do not exist, they work under many different names, and the emails we’ve sent have gotten bounced back. Our fridge broke and we’ve been unable to contact this company to do the job we’re paying monthly for them to do. We’ve cancelled our direct debit and reported them to our bank’s fraud team.
DO NOT USE Domestic Appliance Care, Dash Team, Dash Appliance Care, or any other versions of the same scammy company.

Clarifying a previous negative review - explanation offered by the Dash team regarding my direct debit and Whoopsie
Happy to clarify a previous negative review.
I was recently contacted by the Dash team explaining a problem associated with the transition of my boiler cover from Whoopsie to Dash. I didn't receive any notification in writing or otherwise from Whoopsie or Dash and was therefore unaware that Whoopsie no longer existed. The DD set up to move over to Dash came as a complete surprise, I wasn't aware of this company Dash, thought it was a scam so cancelled the DD immediately. The Dash team offered an apology for any inconvenience caused and also sent a M&S voucher, their explanation helped to clarify matters and I appreciated the company contacting me to explain matters and putting my mind at rest, this was an administrative error that I wasn't notified about regarding the demise of Whoopsie and the transition of my custom to Dash.
Washing machine broke couple weeks…
Washing machine broke couple weeks back, I couldn’t find any details of insurers, had a bit of trouble with DD not being paid resulting in cancellation of policy got I. Touch with insurers (Dash), who in my opinion are the best and have bent over backwards to help me they allowed me to pay off areas reinstate policy as I cancelled by mistake and now washing machine looks and works like new.
Thank you (dash team) so much, lifted a weight off my shoulders.

I had an issue with a particular company sent by my previous service provider. And I contacted these guys to avoid them sending this company to my house. This wasn't a problem for them. And they made no attempt to make me change my mind.

I have given them five stars for their determination in trying to sort the company out after taking over from the disastrous Whoopsie company. I had a very pleasant man phone me to explain the difficulties they have faced in setting up their website and organising new customers. I wish them well.

BACKGROUND
Tuesday 11th February 25 - I have already mentioned this BOGUS company in my review written for Whoopsie (not that I had any issues with Whoopsie because I didn’t) when I was alerted that my DD with Whoopsie had been cancelled and ROGUES going by the name of "DASH" / "DOMESTIC APPLIANCE CARE" / "DASH APPLIANCE CARE" / "DOMESTIC A CARE" (take your pick) would be taking over my contract with no changes, my monthly payment with Whoopsie being £19.99.
These people ignored my emails and then had the audacity to phone me regarding my “account” when I had literally told them to “go fly a kite” and that I would not be taking out any contract with their so-called company in my emails!!
I also immediately called my bank and alerted them and told them that under no circumstances should they honour any DD request from any of the mentioned companies. Fast forward to …
Monday 10th March 2025 - I received an email from DASH alerting me that the DD had been set up for £24.99 a month (funny originally I was paying £19.99 with Whoopsie) with the first payment coming out 15 March!! I sent them some stonkingly rude emails written in the largest font available and in red text – telling them that they are a scam fraudulent company and that they have no legal right to set up a DD without obtaining my authorization which I have not given to them!!!
This morning, I have now cancelled the DD instruction with my bank and again informed the bank that they are not to honour this and any costs for a failed DD are not for my account.
INVESTIGATION
When all this kicked off back in February, I did some investigating and NOTHING about this company seemed genuine and alarm bells started ringing! Why did that have very different website addresses that seemingly contained differing information, why did emails received bounce back when I replied to the sender ….
On their website they claim to have been around for 7 years, but according to Companies House there are only two LTD companies currently active registered with them (all other companies under this trading name having been dissolved) ….
- one set up in Jan 2025 which I believe has no association with DASH!!
- one set up in 2022 that had a company name change in 2024 from Omar Ejlilou Ltd to DOMESTIC APPLIANCE CARE LTD - this is the company that I believe is DASH!! I say this because at the very bottom of the DASH website they state: “2022 © Domestic Appliance Care Ltd. All rights reserved.” Meaning that this company has only been trading since March 2022 ie 3 years not 7 years!!
BY LAW if you are a UK LIMITED company (not a sole trade) you must display the full registered company name, the registered office address, the company registration number and place of registration (e.g., England and Wales) on all business letters, order forms, invoices, websites, and other company communications. I draw you attention again that at the bottom of the DASH website the ONLY information that display is “2022 © Domestic Appliance Care Ltd. All rights reserved.” THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW – so I urge people to report this matter to Companies House!
Moving away from DASH I then tried to do some digging on Omar Eijilou and it would appear (if this is the same person and I am reasonably sure that it is) he advertises his services on Checkatrade as a sole trader (so no VAT) with a bio that crucially starts “AT APPLIANCE CARE ….” Just the wording APPLIANCE CARE is a little too co-incidental with the name DASH trades under “DOMESTIC APPLIANCE CARE” and as registered under with Companies House with the Director being Omar Eijilou
Now if he is also moonlighting as a Sole Trader and not paying tax – this is a criminal offence! and I will be reporting this to Companies House and HMRC for investigation!
Lastly, if you look at the emails they send out they state a mailing address as being in Hinton Chambers, Hinton Road, Bournemouth … whilst there are 34 companies as being listed in the building of Hinton Chambers, surprise surprise DASH is NOT one of them!
CONCLUSION
DASH is a very dodgy organization and EVERYONE should steer clear of them, do their own research but above all report this company to Companies House / HMRC / Action Fraud they need to be stopped before they start fleecing innocent people left, right and centre whilst not actually providing a service!!

I am sorry to write you his review about any company but anyone reading this review please be aware of giving any buisness to this company this company takes you money and then when you have a problem with any of your appliances they find any excuse not to send an engineer out upon further investigations over the weekend I have found that they have no engineers in Scotland so please beware you are better off going to domestic and general or another proper company I was with domestic and general for my insurance for appliances for a long time but decided to try this company because of the 5 for 4 deal but realised after paying for 6 months that this company does not send engineers out!!!
Please please please beware use a different company someone loose domestic and general or British Gas or any other company of. Voice I mentioned these 2 because I have had good experience through my adult life owning a home for the last 30 years
Further this company will be getting investigated by hmrc for tax evasion.
