Was served by a lovely young lady, Chloe, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and service. I managed to get everything I wanted and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Dan made us feel very welcome, great hospitality and took his time on making sure we knew all the details, He did not shy away from any questions we threw at him and answered them very well with detailed knowledge and professionalism. Will shop again with dfs because of him. He’s a credit to the company.

I was a pain in the backside lol Ben was patient and kind , I had four to choose from , visited shop twice was in there over an hour each time , very good service and really helpful when I was asking for measurements

I ordered a matching sofa set from DFS, but one item (the corner sofa bed) arrived with a strong, offensive odour that has persisted despite weeks of ventilation, closed doors, air fresheners, and every reasonable attempt to reduce it.

The matching two-seater sofa, manufactured at the same time, has no such issue, suggesting the problem is isolated to the corner sofa itself.

What has been most disappointing is not just the product, but how DFS has handled the complaint. During inspection, one DFS representative acknowledged that the smell was present and offensive. However, the Branch General Manager dismissed my concerns as normal "off-gassing", despite the smell persisting for weeks and worsening during warmer weather.

Since then, multiple independent visitors, including my partner and my father, have immediately commented on the smell without any prompting. My partner actually had to leave the room because it made her feel nauseous.

Rather than properly investigating the issue or arranging an independent reassessment, DFS has repeatedly offered only a chargeable return (initially 30%, later reduced to 20%), despite my maintaining that the product is faulty. My requests for a formal complaint to be acknowledged and for a different representative to inspect the furniture have also been ignored.

I appreciate that manufacturing defects can occur. What matters is how a company responds when they do. Unfortunately, I have found the entire process dismissive, patronising, and unwilling to properly engage with the evidence presented.

I now apologise for the smell to every visitor, and I myself avoid relaxing in my living room.

I recently bought some sofas from DFS, and I have to say the customer service was outstanding from the moment we walked through the door.

Chloe gave us such a warm welcome and immediately made us feel at ease. She took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, discussing the different sofa options and our preferences. Chloe was incredibly professional while also sharing her expert knowledge and advice, which was invaluable in helping us make the right choice.

The store manager also came over to assist us. Despite only having been with the store for a week, his product knowledge and enthusiasm were impressive and really added to our confidence in our purchase.

Thanks to Chloe’s excellent guidance and support throughout the process, we ended up placing an order and couldn’t be happier with our decision.

The assistant at DFS was very knowledgeable, she explained everything well and was very polite and helpful I did not feel pressured in to anything and she helped us through each decision we made would recommend to other people.
