I ordered two pick-your-own tins of the new Drawing Pencil colours, as it was cheaper than buying them individually or as a set, as I already had the original colours. The two tins arrived separately. Two pencils have broken lead (the nibs came broken and then broke several times before I got a point). I think these are maybe quite brittle colours naturally? (Heather, Distant Green). Otherwise, absolutely in love with the new colours - the palette is wonderful. Always been a fan of their Drawing Pencil - in my opinion, it's the best thing they make.

The long yearned for extended range of Derwent Drawing pencils did not disappoint! Love my set of 72 and enjoying using them in my current commission.
I love the robust feel of the pencil as well as the extra muted shades and tones of the set. The coverage is great and laying down the pigment is buttery smooth.

Love Derwent products! I ordered some individual Derwent drawing pencils using their tin deal on their website which offers a slight discount :) really prompt updates and shipping notifications. Got my parcel faster than I was expecting being overseas. Product arrived well packaged and in great condition. Pencils are lovely! Love the silver tin too :)

Ordered a pencil sharpener which on the box says suitable for all pencil yet it breaks my pastels. Not happy there should be a statement on the description that it’s not suitable for pastels. Emailed the same day as I received it, but didn’t get a reply for a few days after. Oh and no refund as I’ve used it!!!

I bought the set of drawing pencils and found that they are indeed soft and creamy as advertised, exactly what I was hoping for as I have developed arthritis in my wrist, they colour beautifully with little pressure.
They arrived quickly, very well packed.

I bought all the new hues in the Drawing pencils range, having used this range for many years for portraiture especially.
To accommodate the expanded set, I also bought a Derwent Carry-All Bag with which I am especially pleased. This is superbly designed, and not adequately described by the website. It comes with three loose leaf inserts which are double sided and can hold 22 pencils on each side. The bag is robustly made, but lightweight and with a detachable cross body strap as well as a handle. The website says it can carry an A5 pad, but a larger 10” by 8” pad also fits. There are pockets for pencil sharpeners and erasers etc.
But in addition to the possibility of accessing pencils from the leaves set out horizontally with the bag open, it is also possible to view and access all the colours from the side of the closed bag by unzipping just one side. This is very helpful when working in a confined space.
