When I first appointed DC Law as my conveyancer, I was not satisfied with my initial case handler, but was then moved to Sophie, who was was communicative, professional, and knowledgeable.

Sophie at DC Law has been excellent throughout the purchase of my property. She kept me updated, responded promptly to my questions and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. She was always friendly and approachable, which made the whole process feel much less daunting. I’m really grateful for her help and would happily recommend her.

I’ve just had a sale fall through which probably would have been completed if there had not been unnecessary delays. I needed the sale on my holiday property to pay care home costs for my father, which now leaves me in a pickle. My purchasers became fatigued and dropped out because their 6 month mortgage offer expired.

I began to regret my decision to use DCLaw fairly early in the process. I diligently uploaded all my documentation on April. I made a mistake by saving one document in the wrong place and contacted the conveyancer to get it changed but he said he didn’t have visibility of my dashboard and would send a request to the relevant team. I considered that odd. I was later asked for documents in August, after questions from buyers’ solicitor and pointed out I had uploaded them in April.

The buyers’ solicitor may have also been a bit slow but it was clear that my solicitor waited for questions before taking any action. I flagged a key concern in April regarding a lease on the garage even though the house is freehold. This only became an urgent issue in late August and was probably never finalised.

I could see from the dashboard that weeks and sometimes up to a month went by without any activity. I tried chasing but I found the estate agent had more success with responses, possibly as they have an affiliation with DCLaw (which includes a sizeable commission to the estate agent for the introduction).

I was selling a 2nd home which I bought as a ‘new build’ and the purchasers were renting, hence my failure to understand why the sale failed to materialise.
Added to this, I’m now out of pocket for up-front charges.

Very disappointed with my experience with DC Law. My purchase case started in February 2026, and after more than seven months it still had no confirmed completion date. The process was extremely slow, with repeated chasing required from both ourselves and the estate agent.

Unfortunately, the prolonged delays, lack of proactive communication and resulting stress eventually caused us to lose confidence in the process and withdraw from the property purchase altogether.

We entered the transaction genuinely intending to complete, so it is extremely frustrating that it ended this way. Based on my experience, I would not use DC Law again.

Used the Eway app which took a lot of getting used to as on older generation, but with help from my children it was informative and quick to get things done.

Hannah answered questions quickly and efficiently, was polite and helpful at all times.

I was directed to DC Law by estate agent and when they phoned me it was a pushy sales technique basically bullying me into using them telling me they were “in house” and the whole process would be complete at least 2 weeks quicker than anyone else. Sadly i fell for the sales push and agreed.
Their communication is awful and i went a month without hearing from them at all. When i do try and ring them my calls are left to go to voicemail and very rarely replied to. Sending emails was just as pointless as they too go unanswered. I was supposed to exchange today and complete tomorrow (had to be done due to sellers needs) and have heard nothing from them in days. I try calling, emailing, and getting estate agent to contact them but nothing. Awful customer service considering im paying them. There are also items on my bill which i have questioned and again get ignored totally.
In my opinion i would not use this firm.

Stay away from this company. I have never come across a more unprofessional organisation. I think the DC must stand for DON'T CARE. Never respond to emails never return calls. We are using them for the sale of a house and probably going to lose the sale and it is down to them. I am actually begining to wonder if they are real due to lack of response. Also poor on Purplebricks who recommended this company.

Great and Professional

Highly recommended. The design that one only pays on completion saved us a lot of money as two transactions failed. The conveyancing was swift and transparent managed through eWay so we always knew what was going on. Also when we needed to speak to someone they were usually available or called back in the next few hours. It felt a bit of a luxury when so much “service” is automated. Thanks to Natasha and Esme.

Hollie was professional and communicative throughout. The app was really helpful to see what needed to be done when. By far, my best experience with a solicitor

We used DC Law for a recent sale of my property and I was thoroughly impressed with their service.
Communication was always really easy with prompt and efficient replies from Rachel Sharif.
Everything in terms of documentation around the house sale, eg fixtures and fittings, various different house certificates (boiler, electrics) were easily managed via an online portal.
Definitely recommend.

I hated the APP, so impersonal and I had to print everything and post it. It's a very expensive way to work and I would never do it again. I should have used a local solicitor not a firm the Estate agents recommended. I was not buying only selling to a first time buyer. It took a ridiculous amount of time. If I left message I never got a call back. Yes the sale went through but I wouldn't use again

Really dreadful service, did not keep us up to date, never answered phone, did not return phone calls, eventually told us they could not work for us as involved trust funds,but took 8 months to tell us this effectively holding up sale of house and then buyer pulling out. Thankfully have excellent solicitors now.

We used DC law to buy and sell properties. Nasir was fantastic and kept us up to date on the progress being made. eWay was easy to navigate and it was easy to see what outstanding tasks we had to do. Uploading documents was easy as well.
Thoroughly recommend DC Law.

Honestly was a nightmare 5 month of trying to get a reply by phone or email was a joke no one ever answered or replied to calls or emails. Even the solicitors that the homeowners of the house I was buying could not get in touch with DC Law and were asking me to try. The fees are extortionate for the work they actually do. I would never recommend this company

Great service, platform is simple and easy to use, handler was attentive and efficient. Made the transaction as smooth as could be hoped for!

Selling and buying a property through DC Law was so easily performed. My cases for both were handle by Harry Cotton. Harry was truly absolutely excellent throught both transaction. Harry explained everything, kept me up to date all the time and nothing was to much trouble for him. Would definitely use DC Law again and would strongly recommend anyone to use DC Law.
