Hopeless with their deliveries
Hopeless with their deliveries. Advised delivery would be next day then cancelled. Yesterday day advised delivery would be today then cancelled again
Order placed. Money taken. Not delivered.
Placed an order on 21 Aug. & still missed Father's Day because "a technical issue with our internal systems prevented your order from being processed as intended". Heads up? No. We had to identify the issue.
Dan Murphys called this "disappointing" yet explained "the items you selected were not available at the Dan Murphy’s store local to you". How about you don't take an order you can't fulfil? How about you offer a suitable alternative?
Luckily we can be assured Dan Murphys are improving their technology and service and that they "truly value your loyalty and the opportunity to make this right" They didn't make this right. They offered no suitable alternative. They missed delivery. We questioned why we'd continue our long-term loyalty. Dan Murphys generously offered - and I quote - "Should you still wish to bring your relationship with Dan Murphys to a close, please let me know and I can process the account deletion for you".
Wow. Thanks Anthony of Dan Murphys, outstanding customer service.
Online experience is atrocious
Whilst my physical store is fabulous and always has great stock and staff, their online store has been atrocious for months now. Constant glitches when trying to order, or it won't let you log in to get your member benefits. I often do a large order ready for pickup and don't always have time to wonder around the store to get it, so the online store is super important to me.

Dan Murphys in Bairnsdale has dumbed down the beer range to the point that it is not worth going there. Beer for bogans, nothing else.
In the first instance trying to log on…
In the first instance trying to log on to my account is aggravating…you now have to go through 2 authentications: 1 via email and one via mobile. There is a delay receiving codes. Cut and past codes don’t work. (Takes much, much longer to get into my Dan Murphy’s account than it does to get into my bank accounts!!! When you finally get there the member price is actually the same or more than other outlets. I now go immediately to BWS and Liquor Land sites to compare prices and always find that one or the other has the product I want for less than the member price at Dan Murphy’s ??? By the way, going directly to a Dan Murphy’s site is useless it does not provide a member price so you are forced to go through the log in process to find it. I had this same conversation with friends, they no longer bother logging into Dan Murphy’s because they’re able to get the same prices and better specials at other outlets. PS don’t try contacting DM you’ll end up having to navigate a round about system that takes you right back to the robot!

She was so helpful and friendly as I felt a little uncomfortable being it was a couple of weeks ago but she made me feel very comfortable. She got it all sorted for me. Thanks Jan

Dan Murphy's just slap a shipping label on a case of beer and shipped it like that with no protection.
Been buying from Dan Murphy's for awhile online and they always packed my items securely. This time some idiot decided to slap a shipping label on a case of beer and ship it. We all know how careful the postal service is with our good (being sarcastic) and anyone who's bought a case of beer know how flimsy the cardboard is holding your beer. So lucky none of the beer was missing or broken. but the cardboard was badly damage that a beer fell out when I pick it up and when one falls out of the case they all fall out. If it had been in transport for another day they would have delivered the cardboard box only. Laziness.
Dan Murphies drivers refuse delivery because their app doesnt work
Dan Murphies delivery driver wouldn't deliver because his app didn't work.
After stuffing around for 20 mins he took everything back leaving me fuming.
Tried to call their helpdesk - not available, there was a message to use their online chat.
Waited in a long queue for their online chat, finally got through and said I was angry with their delivery service.
The agent said they'd cut me off because they didnt like I said I was angry. To be clear - absolutely no rudeness or swearing on my part beyond saying i'm frustrated and angry.
Joined a 2nd time, another long queue.
Agent cut me off without even speaking to me!
Still cant get a resolution.
What a pathetic coward company - blaming your customers for your IT issues and then hiding behind off-shore helpdesks.

Worst Delivery Team. No phone number for complaints, no email response about failed deliveries from customer care.
This is the 3rd time you failed to deliver the same order. What’s wrong with your delivery team?
No one buzz the Unit Door Bell, not calling on my mobile either as instructed!
How disappointing your delivery system is? Every courier or delivery buzz the door bell or call on my mobile so I can open the door.

Maybe Dan Murphy has reached its ‘Use by Date’
I was until very recently a loyal long term customer of Dan Murphy notwithstanding their very cumbersome online ordering process and inconsistencies in their interpretation of the Terms and Conditions of their Price Guarantee Policy.
For reasons that are hard to understand the conditions prescribe, inter alia ,that an order has to be delivered rather than store pick up if the pick up store address is more than 10 kms from the location of a competitor with which a customer is comparing prices.
This imposes additional costs and inconvenience to Dans customers living in Regional areas.The condition is imposed inconsistently depending on who takes your order.
When Dans insisted that a recent order of mine had to be delivered I was not very happy but subsequently disgusted when my order for 6 cases of Giesen Sauvignon Blanc eventually arrived only to find that the wine in each case was over 3 years after the recommended use by date detailed on the box.
While these were promptly replaced is emphasises the disadvantage of delivery as opposed to in store pick up where of course the expiry date could be checked before leaving the store.
For many years that I have been a regular customer of Dans and I have been satisfied that I was getting the best price pursuant to the Price Guarantee process notwithstanding the frustrations often endured .
However one of Dans principal competitors(Liquorland) while dragging their heels in the past have now lifted their game significantly..They now very frequently offer a wide range of Bulk Buy or Special Price options with a very simple ordering and pick up process
.Liquorland is now my first port of call and I recommend that anyone not happy with Dans give them a go.

D.M Stop forcing unfair and ridiculously high amounts of personal data from your customers, simply so they can log back into their already verified accounts. Meanwhile your D.M chat agents provide the ongoing excuse that D.M need the extra personal data because your online backend system gets confused or messed up with out it.
Bull shit - You Alone Endeavour group, are responsible for programming of your algorithms that keep forcing this info to be inputted before customers can log back in (many of whom btw, already had functioning online order with pick up at store accounts) are being forced by your DM chat agents who are promoted by your algorithms and management to hand over more and more of their personal data!
Which you, could share with affiliate companies whom happen to own insurance companies too...but
of course you will deny this or will you? After all, it's true that it is possible (could) or is it probable?

The delivery window was just "Friday"…
The delivery window was just "Friday" or "Tuesday", and for twice, I waited from 8 in the morning, then I get message saying they attempted and failed to deliver, but I was at home and no one came, no phone calls, no emails, only a msg telling they failed to reach me. More funny thing is that the "service" worth $15 and now they don't even give me the option to reschedule again or pick up by myself, on the other I have just received a parcel containing 5-6 items from Taobao, they can deliver from China in about a week for $10, is it too easy to make money in Australia.
Another Aussie business with a useless app
This is my favourite wine shop to browse in, but their app is hopeless. I tried to place an order, ticked the right boxes, had all the right info. Clicked place order, but instead of going to paypal as it stated it would, it just went back to the payment details and delivery screen. I did this 3 times, it just wouldn’t work.
Apparently attempted delivery outside of designated hours
I put an order in on Wednesday and was given a delivery window of 12 - 4pm, I have been home waiting since 1pm. Got a message at 5:45pm saying attempted delivery at 5:15pm but noone came, noone knocked and because it was outside of delivery hours they couldn't organise a redelivery for the next day. So even though it was no fault of my own I have to wait until some time next week for it to be delivered when i feel like it should be first on the delivery list for the next day because it was missed due to "running behind schedule" as i was told. Its just disappointing and unacceptable. I expected more from a big corporation.
