Defective Merch and They Delete Neg Reviews

Ordered patio table and chairs. Items actually ship from the manufacturer, not Cymax. Arrived damaged. Contacted Cymax. They eventually respond stating the manufacturer would send me replacement. Weeks later, still nothing. No indication that a replacement was shipped. Contacted Cymax again. They have no record of my original email. Then a replacement arrives out of nowhere. Still damaged. Manufacturer kept sending me damaged pieces with peg holes that didn't align with each other. Four months later, we decided to keep the least worst pieces that actually fit together. One year later, the paint is peeling off. Emailed Cymax asking if they have touchup paint. Response: You can't return your item because it's out of warranty. I didn't want to return it. I wanted paint. Left negative review of the furniture. Cymax deleted it.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Now that I’ve read other reviews that have the same experience, I’m surprised they’re still in business! They sent an email requesting a review and this is what I sent;
‘Disappointing- searched high and low for this item and lots of companies had this on back order. So prior to purchase, I contacted Cymax to confirm they had my item in stock and ready to ship before I made the order. Received confirmation they had 20! Yay! but they ended up sending me an office chair instead of my bathroom vanity. As soon as I received the item, I emailed customer service only to find out they were now completely sold out and do not expect shipment for new stock until sept/oct. disappointing experience to say the least. Unfortunately this will set me back on my remodel. And there’s nothing I can do about it but ask for a refund. It’s just upsetting that someone would mistake an office chair for a bathroom vanity. Don’t people read and verify what they are picking for shipment anymore? I used to work in this type of business and it’s not difficult. You just need to pay attention and match the description.’
I received an email a day later that it was denied and would not be posted on their site. The fact that the moderate their reviews is another red flag. Wish they had a google page so I could review them on that to warn others.

BUYER BEWARE!!

DO NOT purchase their products through walmart.com. Their items through Walmart's marketplace are not returnable, regardless of what walmart has posted on their website. Tried contacting the company regarding a couch purchased through them and they do not respond. Spent over $600 on a couch and aren't happy with the quality? Too bad - you WILL be stuck with it. We couldn't even donate the item - the couch did not meet several charities requirements. Can't even give their crap away.

Horrible, Horrible Company

I ordered four individual silver and black drink tables from Amazon. It turns out the seller was actually Cymax.
When the drink tables arrived, they were green and gold; not silver and black. I requested authorization to return them. I received that authorization, but it turns out that could only occur at my own expense (over $100 in return shipping). To add insult to injury, Cymax just sent me an email, entitled, “Unexpected Problem With Completing Your Order”, where they say, “We have withdrawn your request”. Whatever that means. This company is bizarre, unprofessional, and inept. Steer clear of them. I am disappointed in Amazon for having any affiliation with Cymax.

They really don't deserve one star

They really don't deserve one star. Bought a loveseat from Cymax on Amazon. Return policy is 60 days, so your merchandise must fall apart within 60 days, not 7 months. The unassembled loveseat was a piece of rubbish. The hardware was not aligned. It was dirty (looked like it had been dragged on the floor) AND the fabric was ripped underneath. But 7 months later, I sat down on the left side of the sofa and the back pulled away from the arm! I am 120 lbs. Imagine if a 300 lb person sat on that sofa. Anyway, they wouldn't budge, even with a courtesy refund. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM CYMAX OR MODWAY! They are a bunch of s*b's and should not be in business selling crap made in Chyna.

May justice prevail

I was getting ready to order a Leick piece of quality furniture on Amazon, being a 25+ year customer. After checking the leading consumer review sites I found they were mostly unanimous on the customer ratings received on this company - bad to terrible, with only a couple of questionable exceptions.

No order will be forthcoming from this now wizened consumer. After seeing and assessing such awful customer experiences I am grateful to be saved the possibility of yet another unhappy purchasing event!

Great thanks to these rating companies. Abusive companies: clean up your predatory business practices or perish!

received only half of my desk

I bought a desk in 01/25, on 02/09 I got the delivery but sadly I only got half of the desk and customer services are nonexistent. Only email and they are giving me the running around. No one tells me where the rest of my desk is or when it will be delivered. After I checked other reviews, I realized they do that to everyone. It is a scam!!!

The shoe bench was perfect

The shoe bench was exactly what I had expected with easy to follow instructions. My daughter and I were able to put it together with no issue. It looks perfect, it’s sturdy and just what I needed. I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent Customer Service

I recently purchased an amplifier stand and spoke with a customer service rep who went out of her way to answer all my questions. I was also contacted by them when my order was delayed during shipping. Obviously out of their control, but shows they care about customer satisfaction. I look forward to doing more business with Cymax.

Merchandise still not received

I am still awaiting the rest of the pieces of my furniture. I received the arm pieces but not the rest. I know they were on back order but no status updates were given as to a more definite delivery date. You can’t sit on chairs if you can’t assemble them.

Will never order from CYMAX again

On 8/18/2021 I placed an order for a large Pulaski Curio Cabinet. I received notification that the item had shipped with an estimated delivery date of 9/1/21 to 9/7/21. An appointment was set up with the freight company for delivery on 9/8/21 but I was informed by this company that the shipment was delayed and they couldn’t give me any information as to when it would arrive. Eventually, on 9/22/21 I was informed that the shipment had arrived and that it would be delivered on 9/24/21. When it arrived at my house it turned out to be the wrong item and instead of a large Curio Cabinet it was a padded headboard. I declined to accept the delivery and the driver of the truck took the headboard away with him. I immediately contacted both CYMAX and the Freight Company (with supporting pictures of the item delivered) and after getting no satisfaction I ended up cancelling the order with CYMAX who said they would refund the money to me within 3-5 business days. This never transpired and after numerous calls to CYMAX Customer Service I received an email on 10/1/21 informing me that they had issued a refund for the total cost of the cabinet minus an "inconvenience discount" they had earlier credited to me because of the delay. Again they said that it would take 3-5 business days. As of today 10/9/21 I have still not received the refund in my bank account. What should have been a smooth transaction has turned into a nightmare!! Very disappointed!!

UPDATE: Finally received the refund for which we are grateful, but it still doesn't alter the fact that this whole matter was handled very badly. We eventually ordered a cabinet from a different company and within 10 days it was delivered and set up in our home without any issues.

Love the headboard

Love the headboard! Only gave 4 stars because of shipment delay with no notice as to why it was taking so long to ship. That being said, I plan to purchase another one for spare room.
