We received an expensive 2 drawer filing cabinet that will barely hold together. There was damage to the panels when received. Bush furniture ended up sending me new replacement panels so kudos to them however Cymax never responded to any of my emails. I also tried calling them...good luck with that. You can't get to a live person. Leaving messages did nothing. I would never use them again based on my experience.
Poor customer experience
Prior to my most current experience, I've ordered two other items from Cymax and was pleased with the service and products. But the latest order I placed was quite a different story.
I ordered a desk from Cymax and an hour later cancelled it, over the weekend. On Monday I was informed it had already shipped, via email from Cymax customer service. I informed them, again via email, because there is no other way to contact them, that if it had already shipped, that was ok, we could accept it.
So, via FedEx tracking, we tracked the shipment from Indiana all the way to my home town in California. Then we tracked it as the shipment reversed course and finally ended up in Virginia where it got delivered to someone else. No idea who. I informed Cymax customer support about this and they congratulated me on the successful delivery of the item. ???
They did eventually give me a full refund, but I wasted several weeks and some grief on what should have been a simple transaction. They did not follow through, keep me informed, or even, apparently, understand the issue.
Based on this inconsistent customer experience, some good, some really terrible, I intend look elsewhere the next time I shop.
💯Satisfied!
I ordered a Boss Chair on 9/1/19 and received it today on 9/4/19. It is absolutely beautiful! I usually read reviews before I place an online order. So glad I didn’t this time. I did read them the day after placing the order and saw so many negative reviews that I just knew I would not be pleased. However, I am beyond satisfied! Ordering Process 💯, Price 💯, Delivery 💯, Quality 💯, Color 💯! Even though I thought it was a red chair which isn’t what I really wanted, it’s burgundy, which is exactly what I did want! Thank you Cymax! I may even order another one!
White bed broken three times.
I ordered a white and a black bed for my two grandchildren. The black bed was fine and im happy with it.
However the white bed was broken on the headboard and footboard where there are screws. They sent me two replacements and both were broken on in the same place. I can't reach a person at Cymax so I have to go through Amazon to get a replacement.
It's not Amazon's fault or shipping's fault. It's Cymax's fault. I noticed tube box from Cymax had tube name of Costa Fine Furniture on it so that's my next contact.
In the meantime, my granddaughter is sleeping on the couch.

Its a typical drop ship company (by their own admission) customer service is essentially non existent and when they do finally answer its boiler plate, canned response. Awful. Do not buy from these guys! Shipping times are a blatant false advertising tactic.

Liars from A to Z. No customer service at all. Don't buy from those guys ever. They don't know their product. Never return your emails. Worse company I ever purchased from. I had to deal with manufacture to repkace damaged items..

Let me begin this email by stating that I am appalled and so disgusted with the item I received from Cymax. My desk arrived in such horrendous condition and the box was not damaged upon arrival. This means there is absolutely no quality control.
Is this why Cymax offered this desk at a lower price than other online retailers? You certainly do get what you pay for, and that should have been a red flag for me.
To add insult to injury, I had my brother drive from another borough with his friend to bring this up two flights of stairs, only to find a badly damaged and or defective desk. The clean up from all the broken Styrofoam inside the box took an enormous amount of time to clean up, and now it has to be repacked, sealed, carried back down two flights, and picked up, and now I have to have this large, filthy box in my home until it's picked up
I have taken numerous pictures of all the damages.
I have no desired to have another desk sent from this company, so I requested to have the desk picked up and to refund my payment. I'd rather pay a bit more money and hopefully not have this same experience again.
Also, I called the number on the email sent me only to find our that there is no one I can speak to about my situation, and it must be done via email. That is a terrible policy.

Scam scam scam scam scam. They take your money, do not answer their phone and cancel your order days later. I had ordered them with google express who screwed up and order twice for the same produce with homesquare and cymax, which is the parent company. They will do nothing but wast your time and mess up your order. Unbelievable that they are in business. The are a middle man online company that it a nightmare and has no responsibility.
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service!! I received defective items and I have to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee. Leaving me with half of the money I paid for the items.
Horrible delivery and horrible customer service
It's been 6 weeks since I ordered my office furniture, and it still hasn't shipped yet. The "fast delivery" on their site is essentially useless. The original estimated delivery was about 2 weeks and here I am waiting for someone to do something. The company does not allow you to talk to anyone in customer service. Their phone # will only get you to a salesperson if you want to buy something. If you have an issue you are forced to write into their horrible customer service dept. Their CS dept takes an average of 6 days to return an email. And if they say they will get back to you in 2-3 days, forget it. About 4 weeks in I did get a tracking #, only to see it was cancelled 2 days later. Another email and another 6 days later I get an email saying another tracking # with no explanation of what happened to the 1st. It's been 5 days and the new tracking # simply says the freight order was placed. Dealing with this company has been frustrating and totally useless. Save time and stress and find a more reputable vendor who provide any type of customer service which is better than the nothing service I've gotten from this company
NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE
NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE - and it's not even over yet.
-sent me the wrong item due to a “listing error”;
-I was forced to repackage the whole item (a large heavy bed frame) personally - this is not easy to do.
-they only sent me a UPS return label for free, after trying to charge me $50-$60 for it. I told them this was unacceptable and they then sent me a UPS label for free return.
-the UPS label was for drop off only, which is ridiculous given there was no way I could lift the item or fit it into my car - I had to pay UPS an extra fee to come pick it up;
-there was a delay of a month to get the actual refund;
-now the company has reversed the refund and incurred me an extra bank charge. No explanation. No warning.
It also doesn’t help that the bedframe is poor quality - my husband and I had to purchase extra planks from Home Depot just so the mattress wouldn’t sag into the holes.
I am getting ready to take them to small claims court.

A bunch of crooks from "off"
A bunch of crooks from "off". Don't stand behind their merchandise. We bought three kitchen stools. Within days, a leg split on one. We contacted Cymax -- but they put us off to the manufacturer. Then, in another three weeks, a second leg split on another of the stools -- but Cymax claimed it wasn't within their 30 day "replacement window". Ultimately, we had to rely on the Amazon A to Z Guarantee -- who really had no skin in the game other than to process the credit card charge. Cymax should be out of business.
Worst Company EVER
a. They charge your credit card weeks before shipping the product.
1. The phone number listed on the Cymax website that literally says... "call for questions" does't allow you to ask questions. It refers you back to the website.
2. The phone number in your confirmation email is the same number that is listed on the website... so again, no way to talk to anyone.
3. I finally called the on line order department. He couldn't give me any information or even direct me to a number. He said he can only take orders.
4. I emailed them. No answer for 3 days. I emailed them again and threatened to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. I finally received a hostile phone call.
5. I went online to check the status of my order. To track a package it said enter an email and order number. I did this and literally received a message that said, "please kindly log into your account to see your order details."
6. I logged into my account and the order status was blank. I did the online chat and the guy said I had to manually add my order to my order status.
I still don't have my order and i don't know where it is, but they did charge my credit card for $1,000.
Horrible customer support
I ordered a $2K furniture set from Cymax 3 months back with assembly. The furniture set delivered was not the exact ones I ordered. The bookcase in the set did not have all the right holes in place and the assembler (scheduled by the company) refused to assemble it. I reported this to the sales account representative and he re-ordered it and this time it came without the requested assembly and had to be returned back again. I've been calling and emailing the account rep regarding this order for atleast 10 times. Everytime I call him, he responds by saying its gone to the final checkpoint. I have still not gotten the complete furniture set after following up with the company for more than 2-3 months. Totally disappointing experience.

Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy....how can someone so unprofessional still have a job? Obviously Cymax is as sub par as their employees.
FRAUD and the worst customer service from Jerrmy
Where do I even begin? I was charged 6 times for 1 itemed ordered. Instead of basic human decency I was belittled and started to have signs of stress. This place is everything customer service should not be. And JERRMY is a shining example of whatnot TO DO! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I am certain that they stay in business because customers get charge multiple times. I had to close my bank accounts and cancel my cards! I'm surprise why there hasn't been a fraud case place on them.
Cymax no longer has a customer service…
Cymax no longer has a customer service process that works. On their website, you see a phone number to call. When you call that number, you are told that the new process for inquiring about your order is to send an email that will be responded to within 24 hours. When you send an email, you do not receive a response within 24 hours, not 48, not 72. Proceed at your own risk. I won't order from Cymax again.

Since December of 2017 we have opened up 12 new offices in Metro Detroit area and the ordering process has gone smoothly. I no longer panic if my items will arrive on-time. My representative is very professional and helpful. Thank you so much for making this task less stressful.

The stock photos & reviews they show on their site are fake. If you order from here they will send you something that looks nothing like what you order, and that weighs double what they advertise (then blame the manufacturer). There is also NO NUMBER TO CALL, the only way you can get in contact with them is through email (and it takes 5 business days to even get a response out of them).
Insanely unprofessional, rude, and embarrassing. I wish I could attach the image of what they were selling on their site versus what should have actually been delivered versus what I got - what a joke.
