I was ready prepared by checking out the items I wanted on the Internet. They checked them out and ordered them for me and arranged delivery and installation. It was as easy as that.

Great - Friendly and knowledgable service from Tira at Curry's in Didcot when purchasing a new laptop for my business.

if i hadnt done my homework i would have walked out after 5 mins not to return. The saturday staff are few and far between and know nothing about the products. the person couldnt even get the info right when reading from the tablet!
Best to go in knowing what you want or go during the week and hope you get full time staff with some knowledge

Before ordering, I was told that the item would be available for collection on Saturday. So far (Sunday night), it is not yet available.

Really helpful staff, ease of purchase and £50 back on old tv.

To much waiting around for somebody to see us and too much paperwork.All we wanted was to buy a television. Not very happy

On 8 September I received a PS5 controller I had ordered from Currys (order number CUR2681277162). It was my first ever order with them, and unfortunately it will also be my last.

The controller arrived in damaged packaging that had clearly been opened and resealed with non-original tape. The controller works, but it had obviously been opened before, so I paid for a new item and received a used one.

I contacted customer support straight away. Their only offer was to return it for a replacement, which could take up to 7 working days. That was no good to me: my PS5 Pro was being delivered the very next day, and I needed two controllers to play with my daughter.

So I suggested what I thought was a fair compromise. I would keep the controller in exchange for a partial refund, since it was effectively used and the packaging was damaged. Support told me they didn't have the authority to agree to that. My case was escalated to the next level of support and to the complaints team, and I was promised a response within 72 hours.

More than a week has now passed, and I still haven't heard anything.

To be honest, the damaged box and the used controller aren't the real problem, because mistakes happen. What really let me down was how my case was handled, or rather not handled at all. There was no flexibility, no follow-up, and the promise to get back to me was broken.

Based on this experience, I won't be buying from Currys again, and I can't recommend them.

My TV broke. I thought Argos might be cheaper but I wanted a person to explain it to me. I went to Currys in Didcot and was amazed. The assistant answered all my questions and showed me the remote and the back of the TV to explain about the connections. They were incredibly helpful. They only had a display model in the store so she organised an online purchase to be delivered free the next day. I ended up buying a new dvd player as well for less than I'd expected to pay in Argos.

Delivery delayed by two weeks with one working day notice. Horrendous online experience, forced to call the call centre as it was an "in store" purchase, who managed to bring forward the delivery by a week and then said I had to go into store to get a refund on the delivery. Went into the store and received horrendous customer experience who blamed the call centre, and was told they could not access the same system so they did not know why delivery had been delayed, and refused to refund. Nowhere to make a complaint. Everyone blaming everyone else. Staff in store very belligerent and unhelpful. Been using this Currys for several years and first time I've dealt with these staff, and it was so poor.
