Served by Mark and he was good. I was with a friend who was interested in buying a new notebook. My friend had serious visual impairment. Once Mark understood the specific problems he adapted well.

The assistant who served us was excellent. Friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much for her. As the hob we wanted was out of stock, she arranged to have one delivered from Bristol to our home the following day. Superb customer service!

The staff member understood my difficulties and was able to address them all by putting forward all the possible solutions. He explained to me why those difficulties had arisen in the first place and assisted in putting them right. He could not have been more helpful and I am now more confident of a trouble free future.

I tend to use Currys or John Lewis for electricals, as I don’t want the stores to disappear from the high street / industrial park. I find the staff Cheltenham and Evesham branches to be friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive but that’s not the main reason I use them. I really value being able to see an item before purchasing and more importantly having somewhere I can collect so I don’t have to hang around at home for a delivery. Sometimes the stores are understaffed leading to longer than ideal wait times. If there is a wait it’s often ‘cos the staff are going the extra mile helping out another customer so that’s fine.

Eighth Most home appliances are very expensive and not of good quality. I bought a refrigerator that is broken. I bought a clothes dryer that also does not dry.

After purchasing my new laptop online and realising I'd bought the wrong one, Customer Services were extremely helpful in helping me sort it at my local Cheltenham branch. After using Currys for many years I would recommend them to all :)

The staff member was knowledgeable, helpful but without being pushy. We got a great deal on an OLED TV. He even loaded it into our car.

Customer service was appalling. I pre paid and was due to just pick up item. I waited 25 minutes for item to be retrieved and although item was on shelf the advisor told me I had to get specific one from back. I accept that however he told me the delay was due to not finding the product easily. Unfortunately my husband who was walking round the store advised me that the advisor spent a good 10-15 minutes chit-chatting to his mate at the back of the store!!!! What a waste of my time

What we thought would be a quick pop-in to buy an iPad turned into a 40-minute drawn-out process.

We had already done our research online, so we went into the store knowing exactly what we wanted. We located the iPads at the front of the store, then spent around 10 minutes looking around for someone to help us. When we finally managed to get someone’s attention, they went to find someone else to assist us.

The gentleman who eventually served us didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. When we asked about the price promise, his answer kept changing — one minute it was yes, the next it was no. He then went to get the original person who had sent him over, who immediately confirmed that the price promise did apply.

We were then taken to the desk, where pretty much every possible upsell was attempted, from insurance to screen protectors. We politely declined each time, but the gentleman continued to push the extras.

It’s no wonder people choose to buy online when a straightforward purchase can become such a lengthy and pressured experience.

I work in retail myself, so I actually like supporting physical stores where possible. However, I was genuinely surprised that what should have been a simple, quick purchase turned into such a drawn-out process, with so much pressure to buy additional products and services.
