Always worth checking out Curry’s for their electrical items.

We were helped by Hos. He was very patient and answered all our questions with ease. Nothing was too much trouble and he explained everything perfectly. Very smooth experience from start to finish

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. A repair that should have taken 6 days took 20. and we were still charged the full amount. I have a complaint pending!

Staff at the store were pleasant and polite,

Good purchase advice and assistance with the purchase, had a problem with the laptop update and had superb back up from engineer at Ashford branch to sort the issues.

Very nice men very respectful good service.

Currys are not always the most helpful, but on this occasion, I am pleased to say the service I received was faultless and the representative was both pleasant and knowledgeable

Update: I have replied to Ben via email, as per his prompt reply below but, unfortunately, I have not had an acknowledgement or reply to my email after 5 working days - despite several re-sends of my email to Currys from a different email address and emailing the CEO!
I wonder if Ben is even a person..

I went to Currys in Ashford Kent to accompany an elderly lady who had gone into Currys 6 days previous to purchase a better television for her Lounge. She asked the assistant for his advice and he recommended a particular Samsung model which she purchased.
At her request, I went over to her house the following day and installed the new TV for her .
She was immediately disappointed when she watched her favourite programs Law and Order and Blue Bloods. It was very hard to watch the picture because it was washed out and hard to see what was going on. So I adjusted all of the settings as best as I could and the picture did improve but he was still far below what you would expect of a modern 2026 model TV .
The lady contacted Currys customer support via telephone and after some while the lady whom she spoke to said that if she took it back to the shop she would get a refund .
When we got to the shop and after a considerable length of time of deliberation etc, the manager said that there was not going to be a refund forthcoming because there was no fault with the television .
I suggested to him that if the picture that she was trying to watch was unwatchable then how could it be the case that there was not a fault with the television .
Whilst there, we looked at the row of 43 inch televisions and what emerged immediately was that the particular model that she bought was not only the most expensive, but also the picture quality was inferior to all of the other televisions. In the case of one of the LG televisions, it was £70 cheaper and had a much better picture. The whites were noticeably brighter and the blacks noticeably more black.
Whilst looking at these televisions a salesperson came over and he said exactly the same thing - that he would recommend the cheaper LG television .
One could be forgiven for thinking that the sales assistant who sold her the television saw her coming and used this opportunity to sell her the most expensive television within her price range without any consideration to the picture quality etc which is why she'd gone into the shop in the first place
I have explained to this lady that if she makes such a purchase in future, even if she visits the store, she should then make the purchase online as that gives her significantly more consumer rights.

Professional and understanding

I wanted to purchase a sky package, but needed some questions answered, found it impossible to “speak” to anyone at sky so went to Curry’s as discovered they sold packages. Staff were really helpful, very friendly and made the purchase simple.

Callum was a very cute guy with absolutely stellar service couldn’t ask for more

Baron at the Ashford store was very knowledgeable and helpful with my purchase.

I disliked being given a free gift laptop sleeve when I purchased my laptop, then being charged for it. I took laptop & sleeve home then realised I’d been charged for the sleeve.
When I queried this, I was told I could either pay for it or return it. I returned it and bought a sleeve somewhere else.
Since this was the Ashford store’s error I should have been allowed to keep the sleeve.
I received a reply to this review with a sentiment of regret around my experience. But, when one is offered a free gift by way of an incentive to purchase the product it’s not right to then withdraw that offer once the product has been purchased! It’s simply amazing customer relations!!

Delivery was on time and the fitters did a great job and took time to to explain use of the two pieces of equipment.

I knew what tv I wanted before I entered the store, and although I couldn’t see it on the shop floor, an assistant was able to confirm they had it in stock in the back and in less than 10-15 minutes from the time entering it had been purchased and was in the car.

Absolutely awful!

I have always held a lot of respect for currys employees but on this occasion I have never been more enraged. I spent 10 minutes looking for a particular item and I asked for help, I was told they are not able to help me as they need their managers approval, this i respected as I just assumed they had a new triangle system for the staff.

I then had to wait over 30 minutes standing infront of the item I wanted because a a manager needed to open a door with a lock.

I decided to approach a staff member to asked why someone wasnt able to just open the door and be done with it but I was met with "im just a new starter i dont need to help anyone". I then clearly stated that your a staff member regardless of how long you've worked here, I was only asking for help.

He decided to continue taking a tone with me and I found out that he was doing this infront of the manager who did not seem to have any issue with how the "new starter" was talking to customers. (It was not only me he was talking to like this)

I then decided to wait a further 10 minutes for this one item before receiving sarcastic remarks for other employees and a few dirty looks before I finally walked out.

Never have i ever been treated like this in this particular currys and the staff are normally top quality. But for some reason on this occasion they had no issue treating their customers with no respect.

I will be going elsewhere from now on unfortunately as I simply dont feel comfortable going back into this store.
