This company is by far the worst going, the man jak is just a bully boy who jets off on holiday every other week on everyone’s hard earned money after he’s scammed them out of buying a dodgy car. This company was previously shut down in 2018 after trading under a different name and there’s another case this year to get them shut down AGAIN. The 5 star reviews are fake all done by them and their friends. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE AS SLIM CHANCE YOU WILL SEE IT AGAIN. What I really wanna say wouldn’t be allowed on here but starts with C ends in TS

Bought a car from this place and within a week it had issues. Took it back to them to get it fixed and all they done is bodge it. Car was not for for purpose. Had another major issue with the car and when 'Jack' the owner, who is also the 'mechanic' called me about the issue he done nothing but shout at me trying to bully and intimidate me. They sell cars that are not fit for purpose and that shouldn't be on the road. Steer well clear of these absolute cowboys. Do not be fooled by all these fake 5 star reviews they write themselves

Bought a nissan juke from them and it broke down within 4 days.
Took the car to an independent garage and the car is showing 8 faults on diagnostics
Trying to reject the car but the dealer is being very difficult and trying to mislead & use scare tactics about dragging out the letters and the court process so I lose my rights and accept the least worrying and cheapest repair

Try your bank or credit card company if you've bought a car from here, they will help you if your case is valid. Consumer advice are really helpful too. YOU HAVE RIGHTS

I went to look at a range rover that seemed nice. When I went to pay he wouldn't take full or part payment via any card. It was cash or bank transfer only. Huge red flag!!!!!!!! Beware!!!!!!!!!
Payment in part or in full helps protect you from being sold a dud.

if anyone bought a death trap from this company please contact me as we could all take them to court ,my son was nearly killed and so was was the guy he veered into as the steering completely went, totally unonrollable, and a couple of weeks before the whole engine ad gearbox actually snapped off the engine mounts,took it back but the weight of the engine damage the steering unknown tu my son and their " mechancis " obviously did not check,and they had the car for 3 weeks,my son was hrged with dangerous driving and the ourt case is coming up on 9th july at airdrie sherriff court

I’ve just had the very misfortune off buying a car from these people! I tried taking it back,as the rear brakes were not fitted properly and the clutch was about to go!

They are not friendly, I was standing on my own in tears, could barely speak,Jack was the worst, he spoke over me, told me their was nothing wrong with the car, whoever checked the car does not know what they are talking about , he the said he would exchange the car ,but this would cost me 800 pounds as I had damage the car! I have done less than 300 miles in this car !
By this time I was even more scared , visibly shaking ,tears running down my face I just wonted out off their, i even said no thank you I will have to just keep it.
He walked off laughing at me!!!

I truly wish I had phone the police when I was there, a just couldt think what I could say, as yes I felt very threatened, but they didt say anything to threaten me! I was 100% robbed, but they had no gun!
This company was put out off business in 2017 for selling bad cars, this is 2024 ,
They are advertising on EBay,Gumtree, car cow, and many more on line sites!
If you read their reviews, you will see the same car being sold to many different people writing the reviews, they even have used the car I bought in 5 different reviews, they have no adverts stating that the where selling 5 Hyundai I 10 in one week, the jaguar XF the same!
Many off the cars they are stating they have sold are still in their yard! Thankfully!
The are not local, not even from this country, they have no respect for our rules and regulations, in fact the are laughing at us! As they are still trading selling the worst kind off cars that should not even be on the road!

I bought a KIA Sportage from Cumbernauld Car Sales in late October/early November and within 10 days of purchase I had my first breakdown with my battery going flat. I gave the whole experience the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was my fault and I must have been stupid and left something on by accident in a new car I wasn't too familiar with- I got a jump start from Green Flag and was fine for about another 5 days. Then more breakdowns started happening.
I was within my 30 day warranty period but I found very quickly that no-one was interested in helping me. The guys in the garage were constantly too busy and couldn't see me for a week or so and there was no-one else to help. Before long, I was receiving rude messages from the whatsapp group they have that pretends to offer help to customers. And before I knew it, my warranty period had ended and, of course, no-one responded to any of my requests for help and I was on my own.
The car I bought from Cumbernauld Car Sales has spent most of the first three months of ownership in both actual proper garages and separately with two different auto-sparks to try and diagnose the problem. The car was in again with the auto-spark for the last 3 weeks of January and I have finally got confirmation of the problem. 1. The car was sold to me with the battery not fitted properly- it was actually loose. The guys in the garage in Stirling who checked the car actually laughed when they saw how the battery was fitted. They could not believe the car was sold to me in that condition. 2. There is a what is clearly a long-standing battery drain in the car that comes from an incorrectly installed radio in the KIA. All the experienced staff were absolutey clear that this isn't the kind of problem that just spontaneosly fallsout of the sky. It's clearly been a long standing problem with the car and presumably why the previous owner got rid of the vehicle. Cumbernuald Car Sales have cleary known about this, and managed to conceal this issue enough to get it through the sale. My purchase from them has been nothing short of an absolute disaster- I have missed so much work, my daughter has missed days of school and I am going to take a hit of several thousand pounds through this disasterous purchase. Roll the dice and buy a car from these people- some of them might be ok- but you are taking a major chance with your money. Once you drive out of the showroom you are on your own and your warranty and their after sales team isn't worth much. Steer clear and go to a more trusted and respected dealership to buy a car.

Drove through to Cumbernauld following a phone call to check that a Red Corsa SRi advertised was still for sale and was informed that it was, and given the address and postcode of the showroom that the car was at (as the have two premises). Arrived at the the showroom in Cumbernauld only to be told that it wasn’t here. This wasn’t too much hassle for us as their other showroom was only a few miles away, we did take the opportunity to walk around their stock at the Cumbernauld site and seen a couple of cars that fitted with our spec and budget, however, Be Warned! The salesman that spoke to us did tell us that “all their cars are insurance write off’s, hence why their cars are so cheep”
Why don’t they mention this in their adverts? It would have saved us a two hour and nearly 100 mile round trip!

I bought a Citreon ds4 in October 2023. A couple of minor issues with door handle slipping and driver window cable snapped - neither of which, in my opinion, could have been foreseen. Fixed no problem and they also helped me understand the particle filter. No problems, no issues, car runs great and I would use them again.

I recently got a car from them, the service I received from both Liam and Jack was second to none. Great car, Great service. I would buy again from them and highly recommend.

Avoid buying from this company at all costs , purchased a car for son within less than 26 days and under 100 miles , engine light tyre light and traction control lights all came one at once . Was supposedly fixed under warranty. Less than 400 miles later same lights have came on and apperntly its no a different fault that's not covered under warranty and they want £150 to repair . I have absolutely no faith in any form of repair they would carry out . Have now taken car to a differnt garage and more faults that should have been detected on the appernt mot it was given before I purchased it have been found .

Just bought a Rav 4 from the company . So far so good . They are easy to deal with and polite , pleased with the car .

This company sells cars that will barely last and you'll be out of pocket. They have been taken to court for their actions and told to pay back drivers already.

They operated under another name with the same dodgy practice and had to re-register which is unfortunately very easy to do. Google Cumbernauld Car Company.

If you write a negative review here they will flag it as a lie however I still have receipts.

Scrutinize their 5 star reviews and you will see they are clearly written by the same person with the same incorrect punctuation. Please do not give these crooks your money, they are lowest of the low and care nothing about selling dangerous cars to families!
