I honestly can't remember how many car stereos and speakers I've purchased from Crutchfield over the past 30 years for DIY install. I installed my first stereo(8 track) and Jensen speakers in my first car in 1980. I bought it from a local brick and mortar store, no instructions; just had to figure it out. I think every car stereo since then I've gotten from Crutchfield.
I keep coming back because Crutchfield provides me enough information and tools that I can feel confident that the install is going to be straightforward and look and perform correctly when I'm finished. This time it was a Pioneer receiver and a couple of Pioneer speakers in my FIL's mint condition 25-year old Ford pickup. Product selection to install was a piece of cake. Dash kit fit perfectly and looks great. Thanks again!

I ordered an aftermarket stereo for my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. No where was it mentioned that I would need to make significant modifications to my vehicle - there is a metal piece behind the dash that would have needed to be cut. I even spoke with a representative over the phone and it was not mentioned. After spending hours learning how to connect the aftermarket stereo, near the end of the install, it was apparent that the modification would need to be made. Consequently, I had to completely unhook the new stereo, pack up all of the pieces for return, and reinstall my factory stereo. Incredibly frustrating and inexcusable. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I'm going to be issued a full refund.

Update: you issued a deceptive reply falsely stating that you have "a great many" stereo options that don't require modification to my Ram truck - this is patentely false - I spoke with another Crutchfield rep who confirmed that you DO NOT have a stereo that is shallow enough, and indeed I would have to cut the metal brace behind my dash. Nice attempt at sucking me back in, assholes!

Never received the item, never received a refund, nothing. Will absolutely never order here again.

I was able to text with my salesperson, Jenny, and got all the answers I needed. There is no better for support and attention to detail than Crutchfield! And the savings over the dealer install were incredible!

Great price super fast shipping. Guide states that sub box does not fit in 2006 Miata (NC1) but it fits perfectly in the well of the trunk.

The rep on the telephone was very courteous and helpful in determining what all I needed to replace the head unit for my boat radio. The shipping arrived in only a few days.(earlier than expected). I haven’t done the install yet so we’ll see then if I have everything I need. But overall I would recommend checking them out if you are buying over the internet

The shipping was amazingly fast within three days of ordering I received my product. I started installing the product by installing the rear camera first I selected the Talegate handle option with the camera installed in it. It was a little tricky, running the wire through the tailgate, but everything went fine. Then I proceeded into the cab of the truck and removed my old CD radio. My truck never came within navigation system from the factory. We’re ordering my product. I ordered the harness to be completely fabricated prior to me receiving it instead of going to soldering and wiring, which I am very glad I did. It was well worth the money. I did have to call in twice for a little help. The tech-support that I received was top-notch, very friendly, very informative and within minutes, I had my radio up and working I believe the whole process took me about one hour from mounting the camera in the tailgate running the wires, removing the old CD player/radio, and installing the new one my thanks to Crutchfield and their technicians For making the whole process simple. I highly recommend Crutchfield for your next audio purchase if you’re a doer yourself or like me the tech-support will save you a bunch of money on installation charges once again thank you.
