i agree with the complaints regarding their customer service, they are basically like sleezy sales people, they were so nice when i was trying to buy the dress, responding to my every question, and when the dress finally came and it had an issue with horrible shedding, the same lady i spoke too (by the way her name changes all the time, but i can recognize her voice) , became nasty, cold and distant. Basically tried to cut me off when i tried to explain the issue to her. I have videos and photos of the shedding on the dress and she said they designer will not take it back, how is that my fault, even with the proof, , stay away from this company, lesson learned!
Once you click “buy” you become the enemy. Treating customers poorly because it is your policy doesn’t make it okay, it just means the risk is too great for them to ever order from you again. Thankfully we were able to order a dress from another company (in the same size) that wasn’t ill fitting like the Couture Candy one. I recommend you avoid them entirely, but if you do buy from them, do it months in advance of your event and remember that the clock is ticking to make any returns or exchanges.
This company engage in deceptive practices. I ordered my daughter prom dress and received a text and email on April 15th that my daughter’s dress was delivered, but it was not. The email stated to contact them if it was not received in 24-48 hours. When I contacted them on April 18th, they said it was shipped. It was only shipped after I contacted them. The dress would not arrive before prom. I told them and told them I needed to cancel the order and they told me to refuse the package. I was not home when it arrived. I took the dress to the UPS store to return it to them but it was only delivered to my house again. I did a claim with PayPal because of their lack of response. On May 3rd, they told me some one would contact me regard a RAM so I could return and I still have not heard anything. This has been the worst experience.

Awful experience that is still ongoing. I ordered on April 14th. My event is on May 10. My dress was shown as delivered in Las Vegas and I live in Canada. I've emailed the company at least 20 times and each response says they are reaching to their shipping department. The provide a phone number that does not work. After weeks of follow up nothing has been resolved. They won't provide a refund and just keep saying they might. I'll never use them again.

awful experience, probably one of my top ten worst e-commerce experiences. know this what ever you money send them - you will never get back. at best if you jump through all the hoops and follow every rule you will receive store credit that is good for 6 months. it is so ridiculous that I wasn’t even aware a store could act like this. I don’t care what the emergency or how great the need - avoid stores with this sort of predatory policy. This may be a perfectly fine brick & mortar store - and I get the issues of people trying to return one occasion dresses - but they are basically just as unscrupulous towards their honest customers.
I ordered a dress for my daughter's wedding. It took forever to even get a confirmation email that I had ordered it. I was afraid I'd ordered from a scam site. Eventually, I did get an email. Waited 2 weeks to get dress. I immediately knew it wasn't going to work & sent email for Return Authorization. They emailed me back saying it would take 72 hours for someone to send me the Authorization. I got it the next day but wasn't looking for it & didn't see it until 3rd day. You only have 5 days from the time they send you RA to send it back. I had to go to UPS; you can not use the U.S. Postal service. I had to take pictures of dress with tags on it, front & back, take pictures of box with UPS label on it, send picture of tracking, insure the dress & have someone sign for it when it was returned. This cost me $42!!! Now I get an email saying they received it but someone has to give it a thorough inspection to make sure it wasn't worn. I had it on for 2 minutes. Email says if it's in unworn condition, I will get a store credit. I just emailed them back saying I want a refund. Return policy says nothing about store credit instead of refund on a regular full priced dress. It's not a prom, wedding or quinceanera gown. It's just a plain gown. I'm praying a get a refund. I don't need a gown. I bought gown for wedding elsewhere. I would not order from them. Its extremely stressful!

Ordered my daughter’s prom dress from the website and it was at our door 4 days later!! The dress was beautiful and the sizing chart providing on the website was very accurate.

I ordered my daughters Senior Prom dress from Couture Candy. It took over 6 weeks to arrive after PROM. I constantly communicated with them and gave them a prom date of 03/30. The dress was delivered 04/02. I tried to return the dress. They gave me 24 hours to send them a picture of the tag. I was on a cruise and did not get the request until I returned two days after the deadline. Two weeks later they send me an email stating I had 14 days to return the dress after they told me I only had 24 hours. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Their stock comes from China not the USA.
If I could give a negative star I would. On 4/5/24 we ordered our daughter's Senior Ball dress from this scam site. The dress still hasn't shipped, let alone arrived. After several emails and phone calls where the lady refers to the "processing dept" and refuses to give any details on said "processing" we were told today (after being given the run around and begging for honesty for 20 minutes) that this dress and size were never available! What?! Now the same lady has to email the 'cancelation department" to ask if we can cancel this order that was never fulfilled? Then she had the nerve to ask us if there's another dress we'd like to order from them LOL. This is such a strange experience. Now my wife and daughter have to run around this weekend and HOPE to find a dress. What really bothers us is they lied for 2 weeks and if they were in the business of customer service they would've just been honest from the beginning and then helped us to get into another dress. Do not order from courturecandy.com, it is fraudulent.
Dress never came in time for my daughter's prom. I ordered it on April 2nd, 17 days in advance, as their website says 48-72 hours "processing time" and 5-8 days shipping. I even had to contact them and ask where the dress was after 9 days because I never received an email that it had shipped. They kept referring to their "processing" department for answers and finally told me it would not be here in time for my daughter's prom. I had multiple sites to choose from to order the dress and I chose wrong. I do not recommend because they ultimately had an opportunity to get it to me with express shipping when I contacted them on April 11th and they chose to wait for their "processing" team and waste valuable weeks.
Ordered my daughters prom dress 4/2/24. Order was still not processed on 4/11/24 but they charged my card immediately. They said dress was in stock. Paid $33 for express shipping. To be received in 3 days.They never answered the phone. Never sent confirmation. Cancelled on 4/11/24. They still have not refunded $260! They will not let you speak to a supervisor or manager. The only way to get them to answer is to pick the "place an order" option on phone menu? Lucky she found a dress at a local shop she needed by 4/19. I really hope there aren't any other girls out of a dress and their money for their prom! They didn't send any acknowledgement until I told them I called the Better Business Bureau and reviewed them on Google and Facebook. Hopefully we get the money back? Very shady company. I would recommend not ordering anything from them!
Ordered a dress on 5/31. Received an email stating they received my order and the next email would be with a tracking number. Up to 72 hours for processing, that came and went, numerous follow up calls and emails and a week later I am being told that I cannot cancel or I will only get a store credit even though they have not processed the order yet. No follow up after taking my money....I have done all of the follow up. Latest and greatest a week later is that they will follow up and get back to me, I ask when, and they say up to another 48 hours for a response. The 3 day air is the reason I chose this store, I should have paid a little more and went with another store. Concerned we won't get the dress in time for alterations. Terrible customer experience and false advertising!
I ended up spending 900$ canadian on a dress. Costumes and services to Canada was 106$! They refunded me 10% of the cost of the dress dress because it was too big (not true to size), and I did nit want to have to pay return fees + repay costumes if needed. But in chosing to fix the dress, it will cost me more than the 10% they refunded and it won’t be ready in time. I don’t recommend this seller to customers living in Canada. Save your money.
The dresses can be really difficult to determine your true size even when you use the size guide and you may get free shipping but you pay for shipping to exchange and return. All you get is store credit (which you know going in) but it is NOT WORTH IT. You can find beautiful dresses anywhere and the risk is too great to not be able to get your money back. I don't need more formal dresses so what good is a store credit now?
Beware of this company!!! I wish I could give this company a zero!!! I bought a gown from them and two days later I got a tracking number. But after 14 days, the tracking number never updated. I kept calling to see where the gown was 8 days before the event and they have no info on the shipping. Now it's 4 days before the event I have no gown. They told be they could ship it 2 day Air for $283 or next day for $389. I believe they did this on purpose to try and get more money out of me. Who pays that kind of money for shipping after they have already paid for it? They didn't know where the gown was but they can get it to me for an extra $300-$400??? BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
