Our experience with Cotswold Energy has been fantastic. We live in an old thatched farmhouse which was cold in the winter even with oil-fuelled central heating and woodburners. The Cotswold team came and did a survey and we were impressed with their obvious expertise and professionalism.

We booked in for an air-source heat pump and an overhaul of our radiators, adding new ones and replacing the old ones. In the meantime we also asked for a PV survey, and planned for solar panels on the roof of our barn.

Both jobs were done at the same time, and the teams were all great. It was a fairly complex project - we needed a new main supply into the barn - but Cotswold Energy took care of it all and delivered everything to a very high standard.

Now we're charging our car and keeping the house warm from solar and battery power, no more oil and no more cold house. Highly recommended for service and delivery, everyone we saw was a pleasure to deal with.

Cotswold energy were nothing short of professional when they came to fit our heat pump. Would thoroughly recommend this company if you are looking for an air source heat pump.

We had our ashp installed by CEG recently and overall the experience was excellent. I was a bit nervous about handing over such a large sum of money upfront without a detailed written plan but actually that worked out ok as CEG were flexible enough to make changes as issues occured. There were a few issues - some radiator sizes were wrong for example but they were able to fix these with minimum fuss. Its probably as good idea to be on site during the installation so that any issues can be quickly spotted and dealt with.
Overall it took about 5 days and so far its all working nicely.
At the end, the handover was rather rushed and I would have liked to know a bit more about maximising efficency.

Recently had 10 solar panels and 2 batteries installed by CEG to supplement 10 grant funded panels previously installed via Stroud CC. This turned out to be complex and I received differing advice from other companies. James was very committed and helpful navigating us through this patiently explaining options throughout. Lloyd and the team were excellent installing everything under strategic guidance from Lawrence ensuring everything went to plan. All delivered on time and good value especially as high wattage panels fitted and system integrated with our Heat Pump also from CEG. System has been working well since installation so still very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Communication, planning and installation all went very smoothly and the team were great. Thanks to Zoe for her survey and communication and the rest of the team for our 5 day installation. Only improvement would be to have an in house set of instructions for using the ASHP. The manual, as always, is complicated and the verbal explanation rushed at the end of a long week.

I had an air source heat pump fitted which required a complete re-plumbing of the house. From beginning to end the process was well planned and executed. I am extremely happy with the ASHP and the work undertaken.

The team did a fantastic installation. The effort that went into preparing the proposal meant that there were no delays, confusions or additional costs. It took the team 5 days to remove the old oil boiler, cylinder and water tank and replace it with an Ecodan air source heat pump. The installers were professional and focused throughout the project, working well together to complete the job to a very high standard. I was in residence throughout and there was good communication with me through the project. The builder's work was very neat. Although it's early days, and I have not had to use the central heating in anger, I have been monitoring energy consumption and have been very impressed with the cost of heating the domestic hot water. Obviously the system is a little more complex than just firing up a fossil fuel boiler. It's probably similar to buying a new car - it takes a bit of time at the start to get used to all the functions and controls but in time everything will become second nature.

Cotswold Energy made getting a 4kw solar system with battery a very easy and pleasant experience from start to finish, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to try to go green. Many thanks to the team.

My ASHP is now full installed and i must take the time to thank all involved especially Zoe from day one way back in 2020 and laterly Chris.
Its been a big complicated installation tying in with building works to facilitate extensive insulating and new plumbing and electric of an old damp and draughty cottage to enable most eco running.
Throughout this project Zoe and Chris been outstanding going above and beyond to help me in all aspects and their knowledge incredible.
Numerous building delays meant delays for their teams to install and they kindly adjusted deadlines to help me.
I would thoroughly recommend !

We had Cotswold Energy fit an ASHP last week, which took 3 months from our initial enquiry - I reckon that's pretty good. I don't know how competitive their price was, but we were happy with it. The fitters were very friendly & helpful. It's too early to say how well the system suits us.

The entire team at Cotswold Energy provided excelent service when installing our ASHP and hot water cylinder. The project was carried out in a very professional manner ensuring the system visually unobtrusive paying attention to detail throughout the installation. Cotswold Energy installed our air sourced heat pump last July. From start to commisioning, the process was carried out professionaly and efficiently. Our experience over the winter was very good with us not needing to use any other source of heat than that provided by the pump. No gas was used greatly reducing our carbon footprint. We have not hesitation in recommending Cotswold Energy.

Quick personal response to our first contact about installing solar panels and EVC with a prompt estimate. This was followed up by excellent communication at all times and agreed dates for installation. The team carrying out the work were professional, efficient and friendly, with good explanation of what they were doing and how it all works.
I cannot recommend them more highly.

Very prompt installation of my elderly mother's heat pump, which are surprisingly quiet despite being very close to the house. Few teething problems have been promptly addressed by the team. All running smoothly now and we are pleased.

Trouble free experience from start to finish. Communication was excellent and always very courteous. All the engineers were polite, considerate and left no mess whatsoever. I would recommend the company with no reservation.

We have recently had an Air Source Heat Pump and Solar Panels installed by GEG . The planning of both was very clear and inclusive of the customer (us) . Both teams when in our house were chatty , respectful of our home and happy to answer questions. The installations were fairly smooth, and the attention to detail was good . Only one issue raised its head and it was quickly resolved. Quotes were competitive, and i would recommend them to others. Its early days , but our experience of post installation contact has been good, and an offer to make a check the system visit in October when the heat pump is working at a higher load level was a welcomed addition to the overall package .

Quick installation of air source heat pump and radiators. Guys arrived when scheduled, very pleasant and helpful. Worked out replacing radiators and installing heat pump with minimum amount of disruption. Couple of small snags afterwards, sorted very promptly.

I was not happy with my experience of them fitting an ASHP:

- They clearly have taken on too much work in the current climate. Firstly, this led to very long lead times, followed by last minute delays, followed by a desire to wrap things up super quick.
- The installation itself cut corners. I agreed to the power cable being routed along the outside of the house to avoid lifting floorboards. I assumed they would be discreet. It was simply clipped to the barge board of porch. After installation, during cold weather, ice formed at the base. I was told this was normal but they could fit a drain, if it was an issue. There was an actual drain three feet away if they'd spent five minutes more on the original install.
- Similarly, the original installation was planned to backfit into the original position in the kitchen. I opted to put it in a dedicated space in a side porch. With hindsight, they would never have got it into the kitchen space.
- After the installation, my chimney leaked, where they removed the old boiler. When I complained, I was told the chimney was dangerous and I would have to pay extra. Luckily, I had my recent house survey that proved this was nonsense. When I threatened legal action, it was miraculously fixed, no danger.
- Now, 8 months later, I've been contacted to say my installation should have included surge protection. Would I like one at my own cost? No, I'll refer you to your trade body thanks.
