Sorry you 5 starrers but listen to this little beauty.I placed an order for an 8 claw platinum setting on a Friday,bearing in mind that the job had to be ready for the following Saturday. The setting duly arrived on the Tuesday but it had 6 claws.After a phone call a replacement was promised and on Thursday guess what arrived? Yep another 6 claw.So another call and the conclusion reached was that the wrong items were in the bin and yet another replacement was promised and I even had the benefit of a call from CPM in the afternoon confirming that they did have the right setting in stock and I would have it on the Friday morning,wonderful I thought.
Friday arrived an so did the setting from CPM ,hmmm,now my readers,can you launch a guess as to how many claws this latest arrival had,here's a clue ,pick a number between 5 and 7.At which point it was too late to get a replacement from anyone who actually knows what they're doing.I ended up having to make 1 myself on Friday evening.I sent all 3 settings back with a stinging letter which quite obviously didn't make it past the postroom .CPM have had their settings back since 24/9/18 and today 19/10/18 they have had the temerity to call me saying I only returned 2 settings and they want paying for the third,I told them where to go.So no, not a 5 star company

What a great shame that a few customers seem to have chosen Trust Pilot to give bad reviews when literally thousands of 5 Star reviews appear on other feedback sites. I have ordered many times and have always had exceptional service. The price is always the best. The quality is always the best, and delivery has always been next day.

Thank you Cookson for being a very special 5 Star company. I would recommend them without any reservations whatsoever.

Having carried out extensive research into Foredom Pendant Motor drills I decided to purchase the Foredom SR Pendant motor with quick release handset and accessories from Cooksongold. I ordered the item during the day of 02 August 2018 and the item arrived just after 1100hrs the following day via courier safely packed and marked up as a fragile parcel. The item was the best price I could find and Cooksongold stock a good range of Foredom items at competitive prices. This is the first purchase I have made from Cooksongold and I am completely satisfied all aspects of the service. I will use this company again.

Disappointment today. Cooksons advertising all over website 10% discount on silver clay - except at check out I'm charged same price as always. Phone to enquire & told I already get that discount as I'm a customer! Asked to speak to manager- get 'cut off' immediately...phone back, get same guy! He doesn't know complaints email "it's on the website"!
Shame! The age old we treat our non-customers but not the ones that spend thousands every year with us!

I purchased a few tools from Cookson Gold
No problems with the tools or the delivery but subsequently I was bombarded with junk emails, far more than any other supplier
I tried 'unsubscribe' 3 times - no effect
5 or 6 emails - no effect
2 phone calls - no effect
Only after the 3rd call when I demanded to speak to a manager, and got rather annoyed did they stop.
Normally I would buy from them again, but now that is most unlikely

Cooksongold gets a lot of stick but they produce quality materials and deliver sterling silver grain at the lowest price ive found online. i've literally bought hundreds of pounds worth of the stuff.

My small gripe is the delivery.. its well packaged and is usually tracked which is great but if you could offer free delivery to anyone spending over £50 for example i would be spending over 50 each time i order (which i do anyway)
just a thought.

I have fiund them to be very consistent and reliable.

Cookson is actually good, good value and good range. Went on the site at 00:17 and made a basket for the value of £200+. Then I see a FB post of a free postage offer- valid until...12 midnight...Not a problem, the basket is mostly Impressart which is available on Amazon at or around the same price and that which is expensive compared to Cookson will be bought when the next offer code is about.

The free postage thing is a pain. Either offer free postage over £25 or don't. Twice now if missed the free postage offer by minutes. I'll go somewhere else for my stuff (Betts ect).

Secondly and this has taken the star from 2 to 1 (0 if I could) is the scrap service. To gain the trade price you must have a VAT number. So as far as Cooksons is concerned, no VAT number or small business- screw you. I'll take my metal somewhere else also. Disappointing.

Most appalling customer service we have ever received! Repeated failures to deliver our order over a 3-week period, causing us substantial business damage. They have been avoiding issue a refund (allegedly on its way now), no formal complaints procedure, they would not let us speak to a supervisor...I am tempted to see what interest the small claims court might have in listening to our story...

Fast delivery but that is the only positive I can say. I spent £32 on a necklace from Cooksongold which was advertised as sterling silver. What has arrived is a cheap plastic necklace in a small clear bag. Not even in a gift box (which I would expect for that price). This necklace is worth about £2 and looks so cheap and tacky. This will be returned. First and last time I will be using this company.

I use Cookson quite often, they carry some hard to find items I just cannot locate with US suppliers. Easy to deal with, shipping is economical and I have never had an issue with any of my orders.

Recently received an order from them,and can't fault either the jewellery or the service. Very speedily dispatched I won't hesitate in buying from them again-thank you.

Over the years I've bought a few things from Cooksong although they are expensive. I will not be doing so again however. My husband bought me quite a bit from them last Christmas and it was all ok apart from the workbench.
On opening it there were scratches and groves from tools on the wood. Some stickers were already off the sheet and placed on the bench. The instructions were missing and so were most of the fixings, screws etc. I complained and was given the run a round for weeks. Eventually told that it was a new product but had been repackaged. That was obviously not true. If it was then it's a poorly packed and damaged item. I told them at the start I wasn't looking for compensation just an apology and explanation. They offered me money off my next purchase. Of course I am never shopping with them again so I won't use it. Not happy. I wish my husband had never managed to find bits to get it together and let me send it back but he was determined for me to have it at Christmas.

I will never buy from this company again!
First of all I placed 2 orders with this company and order number 1 was meant to be shipped the next day, order number 2 shipped in about 2 weeks since no stock. I contacted the company after 10 days when my order number 1 still hadn't turned up and was told they had missed to print the invoice and therefore not sent it!? And it would be shipped following Monday. You would have thought if they have missed to send an order out they would get straight on it but apparently not. Both orders arrived the following week and were both meant to include a free gift. Non of the parcels had the gifts and I therefore contacted them again. This time I was told they had run out so sorry I missed out on the free gift. Why would they let me add the free gift to the shopping basket if they have run out and also they DID NOT SHIP MY PARCEL FOR 2 WEEKS BECAUSE THEY FORGOT so I'm thinking they had them and I would have received one if it had shipped on time. If you mess up and forget to ship a customers order surely you would give them something else to compensate if they no longer have the item they were meant to send!?

Second of all, I was also thinking about ordering a kiln from them and since I've never used one before and I wasn't sure what you place a kiln on so I emailed to ask. The answer I got was that they don't have anything in stock and might consider stocking it in the future but no suggestion as to what I could use. Not very helpful!

Unhelpful answers, ignoring what you're writing to them except from the part they can quickly answer, forgetting to ship orders, not shipping the order straight away when made aware and not sending out gifts that they promise to customers makes me not want to use them ever again.

I needed some silver quickly as I had a big order come in, paid at 16.00 hrs on Friday with recorded delivery, expecting it Monday. It arrived the next day on Saturday, e-mail and tracking supplied. My order can now go out on Monday. This is a brilliant service, well done and thanks.

Ordered some gold online for an engagement ring with a tight deadline. Two days late so I gave them a phone. "Someone should have phoned me to tell me it's not in stock" but they didn't. Saterday today, so nothing can be sent till Monday. Cookson has left me in a very tricky position. Very unprofessional!

Cooksons stock almost everything you need for making jewellery, but what really sets them apart is their sales team. They are well informed and as helpful to hobby makers and beginners as they are to professional jewellers. As ever, my last order arrived promptly the next day. A first class service.
