I ordered my composite fence on the 27th February 2026. I still have not received any correspondence to confirm my payment to them other than my receipt I got off the salesperson who came to the house( who they say doesn't work there anymore ) I was given the installation day several times which were cancelled. I then was promised a date of the 10th of April which when I had to phone was told this date shouldn't have been promised. I was then told that the next available date was 22nd April which is today. STILL nothing and no contact from them at all. I've now had to phone AGAIN today 22nd April to which they have said there was no agreement in place...though when I was given this date I stressed I'd have to take holidays for today and tomorrow as she said it would most likely take 2 days to complete.So I've wasted 2 days holiday and nothing to show for it. The customer care is HORRIFIC and correspondence is even worse.....I have now asked for my £1800 deposit back.No reembersement for loss of work days..KEEP AWAY AS I WAISTED 8 WEEKS ON THIS COMPANY...23.4.26 I have received my deposit after having to give yet more bank details to them as apparently they can't refund the original payment method ?? STILL no compensation for losing 2 days holiday and 8 weeks waiting around oh and did I mention they told me to knock my external wall down and take down the existing fence ready for installation...so we now have NO wall or Fence due to this fraudulent company.

This company are fantastic nothing is too much trouble.
Everything clean and tidy, staff are polite and courteous.
Very honest, one panel was damaged cos of wind, was told of this and was replaced when wind wasn't blowing.
( 2 days later).
Did Everything they said they said they would.
Would highly recommend l.

Generally very pleased with the service, the quality of the product, the efficient and professional installation, the new gate appearance and operation. The delivery of the components would have been excellent except the gate frame was not included, therefore the installation was postponed from am to pm.

Second time of using ColourFence and would highly recommend. Professional, friendly, tidy and reliable. The whole service from initial contact to completion of job was first class, not to mention how good the fence and back gate looks. Thank you 🙏

Had a new fence installed on 19th and 20th February and very happy with the results. Initially wary of the price, We are now completely happy with the quality of the fencing materials and finished look and overall experience. Had many positive comments already. Craig from Glous was a marvel and it's amazing to see competent, knowledgeable and friendly fitter that really make the job come together amd I cannot praise him highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble and he fitted to a very high standard. Was on his own as his mate couldn't be there but Craig worked through the days, raining on the second day, pn his own and achieved a fantastic result. All things considered (with Craig as a massive plus point) it is well worth getting a colourfence fence.

Colourfence / Climar Industries are a shocking business to deal with and it all started so well.

Early December 2025. Salesman Colin S came out with his trainee Matt C and after a one hour measure up and consultation about various options, and with detailed training provided to trainee we were given a price with various December discounts applied and asked to sign the quotation which we duly did.

We asked for an email copy which duly arrived.

We accepted the quote and asked for bank details of where to pay the deposit

After chasing the following day, received an email saying that due to poor internet (not mentioned whilst on site) the quote was wrong and provided a new quote, saying sign this if you want to go ahead.

This quote was three times more expensive than the agreed price, it had no reference number and no detail, just a single price.

Over the next two weeks, we insisted that according to UK contract law, we already had an agreed contract and expected it to be honoured.

Vague responses received.

Eventually complained via official complaints channel and had to chase acknowledgement of receipt. Karen G replied saying was being dealt with, but no response received

Chased a further three times before Operations Director Gareth T replied saying he would reply by following Monday 5pm.

This date came and went ...and despite chasing ...the silence continues.....4 months and still waiting.

My advice .. Avoid Colourfence at all costs!!

We had a Colourfence installed by Easy Garden Living Ltd, Newport. This was our second Colourfence, the previous one was installed by Cardiff Garden Fencing Ltd (dissolved June 2024) in June 2019 and that fence still looks as good as new. The product is excellent and is guaranteed for 25 years. Colin their surveyor was extremely helpful in creating the design for the fence. Gareth and Jarrad, the installers, couldn’t have been better. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional and consulted me throughout to ensure I was happy with their installation; their standard of work was excellent. I would have given a 5-star rating, except that they are let down a bit by their administrative procedures e.g. I had to chase their office staff twice before I was contacted by Colin and their quotations don’t include an itemised breakdown of the price. Luckily Colin was able to use his knowledge of pre computerised systems to provide a breakdown.

5 Star Service from start to finish, sales consultant was helpful with creating the idea and design we required. Updates via email for the progression of the order and a phone call to book the date of fitting. Cleaned up after installation and a first class job, would definitely recommend and use again.

Matt immediately corrected an error in order and advised me when the correct items were ready. The installers were so nice, and polite. Patrick and another installer did the first portion and Alf did the finish. Being February it was obviously raining! Matt was so very helpful in getting the corrections and didn't charge us for the change in materials.
I would recommend this company to anyone. We got compliments on the front fence and gate, and Alf got a compliment on the fence in the back that he was finishing. We have a beautiful and secure back garden, and we still have the gorgeous views.

We have been waiting for replacement fencing panels since June last year, due to their own incompetence as sent the incorrect size. 9 months later and we are still having to chase this poor excuse of a company. All while my father has been going through the bereavement of his wife which has caused further unnecessary distress. Matt, the local area contact for West Yorkshire has given empty promises on getting the issue rectified. And his communication is poor at best. Half the time he never got back to us. Only recently have we escalated to head office. Since doing so we are again a month on and no further forward. We had an update to say the panels had been sent to the wrong delivery hub, yet another mistake! And we've had no updates since. I'd stay clear of this company.

I rang this company late last year to come and quote for a sizable job having arranged a time and date for this...all i can say really us that they never bothered to turn up or even ring to say why they hadnt turned up so definitely not the best start was it.

Please read the other negative reviews to see this in context. I think it may be a lottery where you live in the country. For the Gloucester area I could only find a generic number marked Sales Enquiries. I called this and it reached the Head Office apparently, where the girl who answered, and the Head Man, were both very shirty with me when I tried to explain that I lived on the other side of one of their fences. Unfortunately from our viewpoint, due to its position, it is an eyesore on our side but it had been done just before we bought our house, so had no choice in the matter. So now we're not allowed to touch it, paint it, hang anything on it without invalidating the neighbours warranty. I had been trying to buy some attachments my neighbour said could be hung on the fence, but their website showed no pictures or mention of anything. Please please check with your neighbours before you install your Colorfence that you don't hack them off because they're not allowed to do anything their side of the fence once its installed. Can't paint, can't hang anything on it etc...When their head man realised I wasn't going to be a large net worth customer, he was very patronising! Horrible experience. I would never buy anything off them, or recommend them to anyone.

The sales team led by Matt have been great, friendly, polite and knowledgeable, confidently answered any question.
The installation guys also friendly, polite and very hard workers, never stopped, left everything tidy.
Shame the same cannot be said about the office staff, seem they are unable action a simple customer request.

I'm curious how long does it take to investigate, and action a previous simple request!!

Colour fencing was recommended to us by a friend. The fencing is well made and and built to last. Our experience with the company has been excellent from start to finish. The fitters Gareth and Jarrad were excellent, friendly, well mannered, courteous and consulted us throughout the installation to ensure we were happy with everything.

Knowledgeable Salesman, explained what the advantages of this over a wooden option are.
The installation team were excellent, very friendly and very tidy. Kept checking in with me to make sure I was happy.
This was not the cheapest option, but also by far not the dearest. The gates look great and improve the security of the property.
Highly recomended.

Absolutely amazing job with our steel fencing. The workmanship was top quality and Craig made sure everything that needed doing was done properly, with great attention to detail. Communication was very good from start to finish, which made the whole process stress-free. We’re extremely pleased with the result and would 100% recommend.

I love my new fence and gateI love my new fence and gate. Strong enough to keep out would be burgers yet stylish and practical. I really love the fact that the gate comes with a secure key lock!!

Booked an appointment last year and the rep didn't turn up. No call or email, just didn't turn up. After trying to find railings elsewhere without much luck I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. Booked an appointment a couple of weeks before Christmas for today. At the start of this week I received an email saying they had received my request for a quote via the website (sent weeks ago and already acknowledged by the person who said he would come today) and they will book an appointment!! I replied to say I had already spoken to someone and they were supposed to be coming today. No reply. I assumed they would not turn up today and I was correct - no one has come and there has been no contact to say they would not come. There won't be a third chance!! If you book appointments, turn up or at least contact to say it needs to be cancelled/rearranged.

I will leave the reader to draw their own conclusions about the level of service received. Our biggest regret was not heeding the existing negative online reviews; we were reassured these related to previous contracts the company claimed they no longer used. The company has changed its name from ClimarFit LTD to Easy Garden Living LTD, also go by the name of Climar and Colour Fence. It appears there is more than one review entry for this company, worth checking out all the others.



Following an extremely disappointing initial installation, two further installations were required. What should have been a straightforward 1 day project stretched into 9 stressful months to finally fix the various issue. During this time correspondence was ignored, and I experienced intimidation simply for asking for the undamaged product we signed up and paid for.

22 Nov 2024 - Colour Fence Rep attended our property, and gave us a quote for our 5 metre x 2 metre fencing with gate for £4243.79. We paid the £2121.89 the same day as we liked the product.

10 January 2025 - Installation was carried out by two brothers, fencing parts were missing, damaged and scratched. The fencing wasn’t level nor spaced correctly - see images.

12 January 2025 - Emailed ColourFence aka Climar highlighting the damaged, uneven and scratched panels, which resulted in Elvis (Regional Manager) visiting on 15 January 2025 in which he highlighted issues we’d not previously noticed.

29 January 2025 - Only some of the damaged panels were replaced and the huge deep scratch on the gate was touched up with using a paint pot.

10 February 2025 - Recorded delivery letter sent to Climarfit following the second failed attempt to install undamaged/scratched fencing/gate.

5 March 2025 - In person intimidation by Elvis (over 6 foot tall) who stood on our doorstep and stated that we could either have the fences / gate touched up or Colour Fence would take the fencing away! We simply wanted the undamaged fencing / gate that we expected to get as customers. No customer should be intimidated in this way!

6 May 2025 - Another Regional Manager attended our home to look at the fencing/gate. He didn’t have any of the previous photos of the damaged fencing panels / gate. Took note of the fencing / gate that needed replacing.

21 May 2025 - Colour Fence agreed to replace the damaged/scratched 4 x ColourRail Panels / 4 x Square Posts / 1 x ColourRail Gate with a 6-8 week wait.

18 July 2025 - A different installation team attended, removed the previous Fence Panels / posts / Gate. The gate has swing back hinges, these didn’t work and they left the slabs on entrance to gateway uneven and rocking.

5 Sept 2025 - Recontacted ClimarFit as gate and slabs still not fixed.

23 Sept 2025 - Invoice sent for remainder of works, gate and slab still not fixed.

If only we had heeded the negative online reviews, we would have saved ourselves 9 months of ongoing issues.
