I love this place, especially the Poole branch. Friendly, efficient service when I was there. 24 hours later realised I had left my purse there. Called. to find it had been handed in and kept safe. Staff were unable to accept tips so could only thank them and leave a review

I visited the Swindon branch today and asked for a single espresso with a splash of cold milk . As this is how I always drink . The barista was rude and said I need to pay extra as it’s macchiato.,I have been drinking espresso like this for almost 20 years and It’s the first time I have been asked to pay extra for a splash of milk .,

Lovely little gem of a cafe in Haywards heath. Great atmosphere. Delicious coffee and cakes etc. Staff are super friendly and helpful plus it's spotless clean. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic member of staff on his own, but worked like a trooper to stop the queues.
Seasonal latte in house was amazing and so fresh.

Would be a zero star if the options allowed. The appalling experience that I have suffered,in your branch at Portishead there were three members of staff 2 young ladies who were very professional and helpful and then there was a guy called Darius. He was making the orders. I had ordered a tea and 2 Espresso Frappes what he gave me was 2 milkshakes, when I queried it he became very aggressive and abusive he stated that they no longer do Frappes which were clearly on the menu and the customer before me had one which was made by the young lady and the reason that we had decided to have one as it looked so good.
Upside was he refused to remake them and then refused to give a refund. One of the young ladies tried to take over and handle the situation and apologised for the way he was handling it at which point he raised his hand to her and demanded she stepped away. I had to threaten to stand at the counter all day until I received my refund. My grandson was upset and worried as the guy kept raising his voice. A gentleman that was sat near to the counter came over and had a word with Darius and said that he had heard everything and that he should stop being abusive to customers. The girl who served us originally was shaking, upset, and said that she had messaged her manager to say that she was going home as she couldn’t work with him anymore and that a similar thing had happened last week. I was a regular customer, and the other staff have always been pleasant friendly and helpful, but this guy has really let the brand down and I will never step inside this place again. I am a retail manager, and I would never speak to a customer in the way I was spoken to, and I would be totally ashamed if any of my team acted the way this guy did.
Your brand will be badly damaged if you continue to employ staff like him. Someone from the senior management team needs to read all the reviews and take action!!
How the mighty have falen
Coffee #1 in Monmouth used to be a great little coffee shop. Friendly, smiling staff, great coffee, good service. In the last 18 months it's become just another coffee shop. The staff don't seem to care much. There are other coffee shops in Monmouth that are friendlier and nicer.
Coffee #1 Street
I walked into a clean, beautiful coffee#1 in Street, the vibe in here is calm but inviting. I was served by an absolute ray of sunshine who was very smiley and friendly. The gentleman serving was called Lukas and gave me lots of information about the cold drinks- I chose a pink Limeade. My drink was prepared by a lovely lady whose name I didn’t catch- I had my drink in good time and was very nice! (Would order it again)
I wanted to write a review because I didn’t walk in with a smile but walked out with one.

My wife and I visited the Chesterfield…
My wife and I visited the Chesterfield store a few days ago and had a great experience. I’m coeliac so was expecting to have little or no choice… But they had two cakes and a plan to expand the choices even further with the addition of a coconut and cherry cake… Jan who served us was brilliant, full of knowledge, enthusiastic and really listened to us… She is a credit to the store… Thanks.
Dirty toilet and mediocre coffee and cake!
Went into the Clevedon branch today. Coffee was bland, cake was way too sugary and dry, and the loos were filthy! Not impressed at all.
Cirencester branch
The Cirencester branch is convenient for me but sadly, each visit is more disappointing. Coffee is ok but staff are very unfriendly, service is often slow and if you're not careful they dupe you into buying the more expensive roast blend. I have the app and get asked for feedback after each visit but nothing ever changes so I don't know why they bother!

Design was claustrophobic and included badly placed display shelves with sharp corners, not an indicator this company has anything to offer. Unlikely to return to thus chain neither in Haywards Heath or otherwise.

Have always loved Coffee #1 , for the lovely flat whites and cakes. Came to the Cheltenham store today and needed the toilet, before enjoying my coffee. The staff member refused to let me use the toilet as she had just mopped. The disabled toilet had a non customer in for over 10 minutes. Not impressed, the lack of helpfulness was noted

Always choose Coffee#1 when we can, always liked the coffee but on our last couple of visits coffee is very weak,, wonder if changed their coffee or if staff been told to cut down on the amount of coffee used. Hopefully next time be better or will have to try elsewhere
Considering there was 4 staff on tables…
Considering there was 4 staff on tables were stacked with finished cups and plates and not being cleared away and people were looking for tables. Slow to make coffee and would not return in a busy part of the day.
Refer a friend scheme not true?
I used the refer a friend scheme so we would both get a free coffee, we both brought our coffee and were told it would show up on our apps soon. Three weeks later it is still not there for either of us and I got in touch with customer service, who told me I needed to provide all this information to get the free coffee. I then replied and they still haven't got back to me. It seems ridiculous that if you follow the steps they give you and then get in touch with the company they still can't add a coffee onto your app! Dreadful customer service if you ask me. Maybe you don't even get a free coffee, and its a way to make you buy there coffee?

Terrible cakes!
Just order coffee and then it’s a 5 star place, not sure about the sandwiches maybe they’re better quality than the cakes.
Coffee#1 Whitchurch Village, Cardiff
When I was ordering someone appeared to be cleaning out an opened grill under a refrigerator as there was a bowl of dirty water as well. Then as I was sitting down trying to enjoy my food, a staff member was busy and noisily vacuuming the gunk out from under the same fridge which went on for quite a while. Then when that was finished, she got on steps to examine the air conditioning point in the ceiling. I was not looking forward to fallout from cleaning that one. Luckily that one did not happen while I was there. Surely this is not only very unhygienic but there was the disturbance from the vacuum cleaner which drowned out the more pleasant music.
