I never imagined I’d have to write something like this.

We had been looking forward to a family holiday with Club Mahindra—time to rest, reconnect, and simply be together. Unfortunately, life had other plans. Just before our check-in, my wife fell suddenly and seriously ill, making it impossible for us to travel. Health, as we all know, is never a choice.

We informed Club Mahindra before check-in, shared medical details, and cancelled in good faith. The booking was later allotted to another member, which meant the resort did not suffer any loss.

Yet, despite this, our hard-earned holiday entitlement was deducted. The explanation given was “recent management or policy changes”—policies that were never communicated when we became members, and certainly not something a family expects to face during a medical emergency.
What hurt the most wasn’t just the loss of holidays. It was the feeling of being treated as a number, not a human being.

Timeshare memberships are built on trust, long-term relationships, and the promise of care. Penalizing a member for falling ill—while reselling the same booking—feels deeply unfair and devoid of empathy.

I have escalated this matter to the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in the hope that no other family has to go through this during an already stressful time.

It's very difficult to book a holiday with club mahindra as the resorts are never available when you want to book. Moreover you have to book in blocks of the days. You cannot book for one or two nights. They hide this fact when they sell you membership. They charge exorbitantly for food at the resort. The food menu is heavily Gujarati and it's suited to cater to Gujarati patrons. I am not at all happ put with my club mahindra membership

Worst customer service. Rude behaviour. They only know how to market their products and ask for upgradation. They give membership to evwryone. And rooms availability is very worst. Whats the use of paying so much of money for them

Very bad customer support from Club Mahindra.
The Club Mahindra team called me multiple times encouraging me to book a holiday. I finally booked Coorg on October 29th for the dates December 13th to 16th. Later, my wife informed me that our kids have exams during that time, so I called to cancel the booking.

To my surprise, they said a 45-day cancellation policy applies and that 40% of the amount would be charged. This is extremely disappointing. I no longer trust Club Mahindra and do not recommend them to anyone.

I was able to book one confirmed night and one waitlisted night using the points available in my account. I even called customer service to reconfirm, and they advised me to wait until 30th October or keep checking for availability on the app.

I kept monitoring the app as suggested, and one morning I saw that rooms had opened up. However, my booking wouldn’t get confirmed. I decided to cancel and rebook, only to find that my points were not credited back after cancellation — leaving me unable to book the available rooms.

When I called again, I was told that I “didn’t have enough points” and that it was a system glitch. This is completely unacceptable — especially since I had called earlier and received confirmation from their team to wait. I have proof of both the conversation and my actions, which clearly show that the error was on Club Mahindra’s side, not mine.

What’s worse, a similar issue occurred last December, and I was assured then that it wouldn’t happen again. Yet here we are — facing the same frustrating situation.

I am beyond disappointed with this level of service and repeated technical failures. I sincerely urge others to think twice before investing in this kind of membership. What should have been a relaxing holiday experience has turned into unnecessary stress and disappointment.

ITS A SCAM - DO NOT BUY CLUB MAHINDRA MEMBERSHIP

Mahindra Membership is a scam. They never share location of their resorts and sign you up to expensive membership.

Your accumulated days start expiring and whenever you try to book, it’s always booked out already. Staff have tried to scam me by asking me to transfer money to their personal accounts. They won’t refund my money any more.

CLUB MAHINDRA IS A SCAM!!!!!!!

Two years back, we invested ₹6 lakh INR and $12,000 Australian $$$$, along with annual fees of ₹20,000, into their holiday package. The promises sounded appealing, 7–10 days of accommodation each year, access to global hotel tie-ups, and a smooth booking process.

The reality has been completely different. In the last two years, we have received nothing. Every attempt to make a booking was met with “no availability” or vague delays. Customer service never committed to anything in writing and only responded with empty assurances.

To make matters worse, we even received calls from Club Mahindra staff, asking us to transfer additional money into personal bank accounts in order to secure bookings. This felt like a scam on top of a scam.

When we finally asked for a refund, after realizing this was nothing but wasted money with no value, Club Mahindra flatly refused. Despite taking our money, they have provided no services at all.

We are now escalating this case to the Consumer Court, and if that does not bring a resolution, we are prepared to take the matter to court.

I hope this post helps others avoid falling into the same trap we did.

This company is fraud. As many have said, the booking experience is bad. We saw so many times that they showed resort as unavailable, but same resort was available from other travel websites for same dates. At the time of buying, they promised 1 year of RCI membership. When checked with RCI, our membership never showed up and no one from Club Mahindra helped us.

We asked for cancellation for a genuine reason, then their true colours came out. They asked us to find a co-applicant or a buyer and we said we can't find anyone. They did not assist us in finding a buyer. When asked for a refund, they sent me with some random charges like "White Glove Delivery of goods" and made sure I will get nothing back. They kept on saying its in their policy. They never shared the policy. Note that none of these charges are CLEARLY mentioned in the contract. If I knew about this horrible policy, I wouldn't have bought their membership.

Consumer Protection Agency should look into this.

Don't buy their membership. I am thoroughly disappointed.

This company is fraud.I trust on the brand name but after membership it is not easy to book your holidays and refund and cancellation policy awful.

I am one of the victim of the marketing campaign run by Club Mahindra and got ripped off with my initial payment despite I raised discrepancy during the verification call!!

Subsequent payment withdrawn from credit card despite raising discrepancy during verification call : Rs.14,160/-

It's been more than a year now, the marketing executive and marketing manager both from Chennai office and the back office team from Mumbai have all washed their hands off with petty reasons!!

I trusted Mahindra Brand and paid the initial amount based on the offers given by the marketing team during their campaign at Coimbatore in Mar 2024. I realised later on that the marketing team from Chennai had made bogus offer just to lure me into the membership which was refused later on by the company!! However, on top of the disappointment the mental agony is that for the past 1 year, they refusing to refund my initial deposit and subsequent deduction from my credit account totally Rs.69.190/- The marketing team and the back office both are not responding to my calls and mails so far.

This is absolutely not acceptable and the Mahindra group should come forward to take action on those marketing staff for having made false commitments and refund the full amount without any further delay!!

I enrolled with Club Mahindra under Membership No. 3028588 after their sales agent convinced me with several verbal promises:

First-year ASF would be waived.

Cancellation was possible anytime with refund.

No hidden charges.

After paying ₹2,47,693 and realizing these promises were not true, I requested cancellation. To my shock, I was told no refund is applicable. They now refer to fine print clauses that were never properly shared or signed transparently.

This is a clear case of consumer deception. I urge consumer protection agencies to look into this practice, and I strongly warn other families and individuals: DO NOT fall into this trap.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Club Mahindra and would strongly advise others to avoid purchasing their holiday memberships.

I had taken the membership with the intention of enjoying quality family holidays with my elderly parents and young daughter. However, due to unavoidable family health emergencies, including my daughter being hospitalized with pneumonia just before a scheduled trip in April, I was forced to cancel the booking. I immediately provided valid medical documents and requested support — not for cancellation due to personal preference, but due to a genuine and documented medical emergency.

Despite multiple follow-ups over email and phone, Club Mahindra took over a month to refund the points, and only after several escalations. By the time the points were refunded, my membership was already about to expire, and no suitable resorts were available for booking on such short notice.

I requested a reasonable extension of 6–9 months, which was denied without empathy or practical consideration. They simply followed rigid policy without taking into account the gravity of the situation — and the refund ended up being of no use to me.

What’s worse, this wasn’t the first time I faced difficulties. Over the duration of my membership, I couldn’t fully utilize the plan due to recurring health issues in the family, and each time, Club Mahindra failed to support with flexibility.

Their resorts are hardly available during peak periods, customer care is unresponsive when you need them most, and their entire business model seems focused on advance money collection without delivering actual value.

It’s deeply disappointing that a brand of this stature can be so inflexible, insensitive, and profit-driven when it comes to real-life customer problems. This is a case of unfair trade practice, and I have already initiated a complaint with consumer protection authorities.

Club Mahindra failed me and my family when we needed support the most. I strongly discourage anyone from investing in their services.

I joined Club Mahindra membership over 10 years ago and have referred many of my friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, they also joined and everyone now regrets their decision.

It is not at all worth joining just to get 7 days of holidays per year. We paid approximately INR 5 lakhs, and if we calculate the annual return from any average safe mutual fund at 15%, we would get INR 75,000. In Club Mahindra, they charge an annual maintenance fee of INR 21,000. This means it costs us INR 75,000 + 21,000 = 96,000 per year. For this amount, we can easily stay at any 5-star resort anywhere in India, and our principal amount of INR 5 lakhs remains safe.

Recently, they started charging delay fees for annual membership payments on a monthly basis, which is really painful for members. In addition, we never get rooms whenever we require and end up staying only when rooms are available.

I am an NRE based in Abu Dhabi, and joining Club Mahindra has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

As a Club Mahindra member, I have personally experienced several disappointments that I feel compelled to share. Firstly, the initial membership cost is extremely high, and to make matters worse, annual maintenance fees have to be paid every year whether or not you use the membership. If you miss paying these maintenance fees, you aren’t even allowed to use the days already available in your account, even though those days are fully paid for. It feels very unfair and restrictive.

Booking holidays is another major hassle. Trying to get a room, especially during peak seasons, is next to impossible because availability is extremely limited. Despite being a member, you end up feeling like you’re at the bottom of the priority list.

There is also very little flexibility when it comes to choosing your destination or travel dates. You’re mostly stuck with the Club Mahindra resorts, and often the options available don’t match your preferences.

Another disappointment is the poor maintenance of some resorts, particularly the older ones. You expect a certain standard when you pay so much, but many places don’t meet that expectation.

Most of their resorts are located in isolated areas, leaving you with very few options for dining or activities outside the property. This makes the whole experience feel a bit trapped and repetitive.

Customer service is another major letdown. Their helpline is practically useless — rather than offering any real help or solutions, the representatives seem more interested in finding ways to extract more money from you. Every conversation feels like a sales pitch rather than genuine assistance.

The membership agreement is extremely one-sided too, making it very hard if you ever want to exit the program. There are no easy options for cancellation or refunds.

Another misleading aspect is that there’s no complimentary breakfast provided, contrary to what many people assume when hearing about the “holiday package.”

Also, be ready for hidden costs — beyond the hefty initial fee and annual charges, you’ll often end up paying extra for guest stays, meals, and various resort activities.

Finally, if you ever think of reselling your membership, be aware that it’s not easy, and worse, you will have to sell it at a much lower price, suffering a heavy loss.

Overall, my experience has been extremely disappointing. It feels like a constant battle to get what was promised, while more and more money is demanded at every step.

Fraud please dont trust them they will take money and after that no proper reponse

Pakka fraud company. Each time represents will speck to collect money only with that they will give 1000 fake promises. Once money credited they will never answer your call too. For representive have monthly Target for that they will give all fake promises and get money from you. The name Mahendra is also fake. It's not direct owner Anand Mahendra. Total fake do not belive this holiday travel. In that cost you can get very good resorts privately you can choose.

"I also had a bad experience with Mahindra. I paid a large amount for the membership fee, only to later find out that there is an annual service fee every year. This was not explained by the salesperson. The customer service does not support customers; instead, they side with the sales team. So, please do not take this package. If you do, you can only choose their destinations and cannot go elsewhere. Additionally, the food at their resorts/hotels is very expensive.

Club Mahindra Team need to learn basic of Customer but not sure if they will do so as they have taken all money in advance and now customer is at their mercy. When u call at call centre no one is ready to help as they are well aware customer have limited option.
I am unable to do booking for Puri and Bhubneshwar for April 25 as it is not opened. When contacting Call Centre harsh reply was you can book outside club Mahindra as they are not sure will they continue with partner hotel or not. They are not ready to give any clarity.
