I recently had a fantastic car-buying experience at Volkswagen, and I have to give credit where it's due. Zachary and Hamid were the two people who made an absolute difference throughout the entire process.
Both were incredibly knowledgeable and clearly understood their vehicles inside and out, answering every question with confidence and clarity. What stood out most was their communication — they stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process, and whenever I had a query, they responded promptly and never left me waiting.

This was my first time using Citygate St Albans for an oil change service for my Polo. It was a pleasant and efficient experience, I particularly liked being able to see my car as it was worked on and the waiting room was a nice place to wait. Over all the staff are really friendly and when I mentioned needing to leave by a certain time - Laura made sure I was kept updated and was happily driving off in my clean, serviced car in great time for me to get to work. I have a service plan with VW and this whole experience was seamless and very easy. Highly recommended.

Kaleem was amazing. He even came running out to the car park to seal the deal when I went to look at a new car. On picking the car up he moved my spare tyre to the new one and helped get the car all set up. He listened to me when I set out what I was willing to pay and I got a good deal. He is a good ambassador for Citygate.

Professional staff, made me feel welcomed on arrival by greeting. My car needed a major service and MOT. I felt valued as I was explained of what would happen, how long it would take and when complete a phone call to collect. I also received a video inspection report on my car and the car was cleaned inside and out. An excellent service at Citygate West London which I have been going to for over 5 years.

Was met at City Gate ruislip by Chase and service handled by Clare. Both very welcoming and accommodating with my concerns and made the experience positive. Clare further answered any questions I had post service thoroughly and spoke me through the processes. Both a credit to the team.

Clyde was very clear in our 2 phone calls, and those in Reception were very good when I brought in and then collected my car.

Extremely disappointing experience with Volkswagen Watford. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a dealership.

Following a full service, I was given incorrect information about the safety and condition of my vehicle. I was allowed to leave the dealership with illegal/unsafe tyres, and I was also given incorrect information regarding my brake pads and discs. These issues were subsequently acknowledged by the Service Department, who admitted that mistakes had been made.

I also took out a service plan through Volkswagen Finance but then clearly informed VW I wanted to cancel it and would not be returning to Volkswagen for servicing or MOTs. I specifically instructed that no claim should be made against the plan. Despite this, a claim was made and I was then placed into what I understand to be a two-year financial commitment.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication from management. Over the last four weeks, I have contacted Volkswagen Watford EIGHT times asking to speak to a Service Manager or Branch Manager. On every occasion I was told that someone would call me back. Nobody has called.

VW did acknowledge the errors and offered a hamper and vouchers, as well as a 50% reduction on the service cost. However, this does not address the wider concerns or the complete lack of follow-up.

When a complaint involves vehicle safety and a financial agreement, I would expect it to be taken extremely seriously. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.

I would strongly urge Volkswagen Watford to review how this matter has been handled, particularly the lack of management accountability and communication. I am still awaiting a proper response and resolution.

I went to Citygate watford Skoda dealership, the manager there Daniel and colleague Ricardo met with me and explained all the offers and vehicles that were available to me for my budget . They were both fantastic, I would recommend going there
