Appear to be total scammers. Tell you they will send mobile to replce next day then ask for £80 deposit then don't turn up. Gaslight for a week with excuses about staff absences and tell you that only way to get it done is to go to them. Don't return calls. When they answer phone tell you they will get to you asap but never give a date or time. Refuse to return deposit quoting their T&Cs that state they have ordered the product but refuse to produce any proof of that. STAY WELL CLEAR. DON'T GET SCAMMED.

Booked a mobile repair windscreen replacement for December 23rd with emphasis that it was an emergency to get sorted before Christmas (so we could travel to our families). On the 23rd, they said they would delay our booking by a day unless we were prepared to drive to their workplace, despite a large crack on windscreen. We were uncomfortable driving to them with the crack being dangerously positioned on the drivers side of the window, so opted to delay our booking. They reassured me that the mobile service would definitely come the next day and that we shouldn’t change our Christmas plans. The next day, we were again told that our booking could not be done and given the option to go to their workplace. We had to do this or risk not being able to travel to our families. There was no discount despite no longer receiving the mobile service and the windscreen replacement was heavily scratched.

Booked in and paid the £80 deposit on a Sunday but couldn't arrive till Tuesday, on the Tuesday advised they could not make the journey out and promised they would Wednesday, the next day they then said they would not be able to make the trip again and that we would have to drive to them for 12pm if we wanted it repaired before Christmas. I made the drive despite having a severely cracked screen. When I arrived, they said it would take 1.5 hours to finish despite promising it being done in 1, but instead then took over 2 hours and I had to call them to find out if it was done. To top it all off, the wind screen they replaced it with had scratches all around the inside of the screen, after asking if they could swap it or refund me, they said I would have to wait till after Christmas, as I needed the car I was forced to accept. I could not cancel the appointment after they messed me around with the dates, as they would then keep the £80, I could not get a discount despite having to drive to them to get it repaired, even though I was quoted for mobile repair. I could not get a refund or replacement for the screen, despite them taking over two hours to replace my windscreen with a 'new' one already damaged. Due to the terrible service I went elsewhere to fix the damage to my new windscreen, to avoid dealing with them further.

Very prompt reply and service for my chipped windscreen. Joe was very professional and helpful and did the job in no time, would definitely use again.

Would give less if possible. Please avoid we paid a deposit. Was told the next day, waited all day didn't arrive (van broke down). Next day waited all day. Was phoned they are on there way. So we waited at home no one arrived. Rang them they had no way of contacting the fitter to give us an update. Told we can't have the deposit money back due to their policy. Their policy is no refund if you cancel or are not present when they arrive to fit. Neither of those were the case but refused to issue a refund. £80 down and no replacement of the windscreen.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!

I booked in nearly a month ahead of my appointment date to be let down. I was called during the week to tell me that they have no one available to come out and fit the screen so we agreed to take the car to the unit in Basildon and was stressed that this needed to be done on this day due to my mot in the next couple of days. After booking the day off work I was woken up by a message at 07:20am to tell me they cant fit the screen today due to the fitter going off sick. After speaking with Anthony on the phone he made it very clear its not there issue and tried very hard to turn this around onto me. They are also REFUSING to give me my deposit back. IF you also look this company up they desolved on 11th December 2025.. Take that as you please.. If i was you don't pay any more to this company or scammers and use another company.

DO NOT USE CHIPS AHOY WINDSCREEN AT PIPPS HILL!

After being let down Christmas Eve having paid deposit to secure booking we was ignored numerous times to come down and get this fixed!

We took it into chips ahoy this morning and they claimed they done the car ! When collecting car
The boot no longer shut and glass was still shacking inside of the boot and glass was still pouring out of the “fixed windscreen” a man named Alex tried to repair this however this was unsuccessful. We said we will pay full price once the car is fixed ! Then then refused to let us leave until we paid in full even though the boots still wasn’t closing and the glass was still shaking and pouring from the boot door! As we went to drive off one of the workers pulled there van infront of our car which had my 3 young children (one autistic crying” and blocked us in so we couldn’t leave! Leaving myself a women and 3 young vulnerable children blocked inside there garage! Having absolutely no other option we paid the man full price ! They then drove off leaving me and my children stranded with not only a boot that didn’t shut but also a boot filled with glass!! It was cold late at night ! Absolutely disgusting! Please share and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

From the initial phone call to the repair I can’t recommend Chips Ahoy enough!
They were so helpful and polite.
Alex did an amazing job repairing the chip in my windscreen which now can’t even see.
First class company and would definitely use again.

Alex was very nice in his dealing, he fixed my car window and advised us perfectly well on how to manage the window screen all fine.
He was indeed great.

The initial booking/ordering process was straight forward and easy and Brooke was polite and freindly.
Alex the fitter was polite, efficiant, helpful and the work was of a high quality. All of this at a very competetive price

Anthony and Alex were extremely efficient with the replacement of my new windscreen. They managed to fit me in at very short notice. These boys are definitely worth using again if I need to.

Hi I came yesterday for changing my windscreen. I dropped my car the with Chips Ahoy staff and been advise that the car will be ready with in shoot period of time. So I went for coffee and came back it was done by two member of staff. Big thank you for Alex and Antoni for there good work and for friendly environment I felt. Happy Xmas

Alex and Anthony had one of our fleet vans in for a windscreen change and to say it was a challenge to remove was an understatement. They spent almost 3 hours working so so hard to remove the screen to fit a new one. Their work was amazing and they were also both very lovely to talk to. Explained why they were having issues and what they were doing to resolve it. Honestly could not fault them.

Can't quite figure how to review this company. I needed a chip repair done and read a lot of bad reviews about this company. As standard practice I checked Company House.Gov.Uk (This shows company registrations and in this case companies filing to be dissolved) and Chips Ahoy trading as Chahwi filed to be dissolved on the 11th November 2025. Make of this as you will.

Ricky was my technician. He called me to let me know he was on his way. He arrived within the window quoted, and was really helpful. Explained the process and did a really good standard of repair
