I ordered some Circulon Elite utensils on the 10th December 2014, as Christmas presents. Their website claimed all the items were in stock. However I was informed after I had made the order and paid for the items, that actually they were awaiting some stock directly from Circulon and Circulon did not currently have my items in stock. They still promised to have it delivered to me in time for Christmas. Christmas came and gone and nothing arrived. I telephoned several times and they agreed to get back to me but never did.

On the 15th January I called them again and they advised me that the items would be arriving from Circulon on 30th January 2015. I informed them to give me a refund at that point, as I didn't want to hear anymore of their excuses or be let down again.

Also China Chaps should stop earning interest on shoppers money. If after taking payment they find out that they do not have items in stock then they should refund shoppers money and contact client for payment once the items are in stock and they are about to be dispatched.

My advice to shoppers is to avoid using China Chaps, as they are an unreliable business.

On November 25 ordered over £50 of Aynsley Mozart as a Christmas present. Was informed that they only had half the order in stock but suggested to make it easy for them they could deliver in one consignment. After constant chasing was informed that order would be with me for Christmas eve. On speaking to the delivery company on 23 December advised they did not have consignment. My goods were packaged in China Chaps warehouse, along with I'm advised another twenty Christmas deliveries, and they were not prepared to taxi or use a different shipper. Advised by China Chaps they were going to refund my money and deliver after Christmas, made it plain to them I wanted the goods not my money back. Delivery made 28 December but only part complete. Spoken to them twice since with no satisfaction.

I will not be dealing with this company again and I advise purchasers not to either. Find another supplier who cares.

Ordered a Denby dinner service, arrived promptly and for the best price anywhere online! Highly recommended.

I placed my order back in July, money was taken from my account but no delivery so far.
I've emailed the shop, tried to call them. No results.
Looks like there is no way to get in touch with the company and enquire about the delivery.
I am astonished about the service and utterly disappointed.

I ordered 2 of 4 pieces plates and bowl sets on last November.
I just have got those the end of Feb.
I haven't said any complain about that because I wanted to get those products.
But they send me too much things ! It was 2 of 16 pieces sets !!
Of course, I said about that honestly, and they made me to prepare percel to return those for them !
Actually I couldn't wait on weekdays but I waited to come a percel company.
Finally, they haven't come between the time I asked.

At the same time, I also ordered some forks, knives, and spoons.
But the design was a little bit different from the photos of their online shops.
Moreover, one of those is defective product.

These makes me so annoying.
Be carefully or will be terrible shopping.

Placed an order on 11th December 2013, all the items were in stock and delivery was supposed to be within 2 - 5 working days, apart from an email confirming the order there was no delivery or any further communication.
No one answers their phones, they are either engaged or just ring continuously.
I sent an email cancelling the order, no response.
I have just had to raise a dispute with my bank to try and get my money back.
Three of my friends have gone without Christmas presents so far because of this, absolutely stupid way to run a business, I would urge no one to order anything from these people.
USELESS !!!

I placed an order nearly 3 weeks ago. It has not arrived, emails are not responded to and the phone is not answered. I will continue to pursue but strongly advise anyone else to purchase from another source

I ordered 2 sets of plates from their web site and 2 days later they arrived on my door step after being notified that yodel were delivering .. fantastic price and in my opinion fantastic service. I can not fault them and would certainly use them again !!!

I ordered 6 x packs of Dartington wine glasses in January 2013. Since then, no goods have been delivered, despite China Chaps emailing me on 4 different occasions and with 4 different delayed delivery dates, claiming that the delays were all down to Dartington Glass having production problems. Despite my repeated telephone calls and emails, China Chaps remained resolute that the problem was with Dartington Glass. Out of frustration, I decided to call Dartington Glass this morning who confirmed that stocks are plenty and no delays should be experienced by ANYONE, let alone China Chaps.
In the end, I cancelled my order and placed a new order with Dartington Glass direct. After much angst, China Chaps refunded my money on credit card, which they took from my account the moment they accepted my order, way back in January. In my opinion, China Chaps are a very bad company and are not to be trusted. Never again!!!

Update (23 April 2013) - Despite confirming that my credit card account has been refunded with the cost of my cancelled order (advised 15th April) I am STILL waiting for the refund to appear. It seems that the money is managed by WorldPay and may still be "stuck in the system". This all adds to a horrible experience. Never, ever again :-(
