Double standard company
Double standard company
They state in their rules of memberships that any breeder breeding a dog 2 in an 11 month period will have their membership terminated yet they have plenty on still breaching the rules after highlighting these breeders and their litters to admin. Trading standards are being contacted regarding this clearly poor service company who are not providing a service outlined by themselves! Maybe I need to list the breeders to get attention?
Superb Champdogs Priority access
I have had a Champdogs account for years and it has been superb all the way through, you can find breeders and litters. If you sign up to Priority access this allows you to see litters before anyone else does and gets you ahead on the waiting list and gets you in touch before it goes public for everyone to see
My loving chocolate Labrador died in 2021 at the age of 15 years old and I kept champdogs account and paid for the priority, value for money, the time came in 2023 where I started to search for a Labrador breeders, I found the breeder I was looking for and now I have a 4.5 month old yellow puppy.
I have found Champdogs excellent in communication and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy to use this site, you can check what health tests have been done, talk to the breeder, see pictures.
The PRIORITY access is the game changer, you have to pay for it, worth every penny!!! 10/10
I just like to say Thank you to Mark and Jo at Champdogs, you are fantastic!!
Website to help prospective owners find pedigree puppies from responsible breeders
Really helpful website for finding our perfect pedigree puppy. We'd been advised to look for the 'right' breeder', rather than the 'right' puppy. Good advice and this website (it's more of a community) was a big part of doing that. When we contacted breeders they were generally extremely helpful and also got back to us quickly. It is only as good as the breeders who advertise ie if they don't give much info or pics etc it's not so good but that is useful in a way too, as maybe those are ones to avoid! We always checked licenses as well and/or whether breeder a KC assured breeder, but Champdogs a good starting point for researching breeds and getting in touch with breeders initially and avoiding puppy farms.

Apparently it's a website which doesnt sell mix dogs I have ended up having one for 2 years now have to answer questions what dos is it what mix,dog doesnt much kennel club standards at all ,his health as well says a lot ,no control whatsoever over breeder same breeder still on the list as a breeder even though was already reported I only wonder how soon another letter will be available to buy .
This site was wonderful
This site was wonderful. It was easy to access and informative. I now have a wonderful puppy who came from a super family home. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a puppy.
Great, safe website for finding a puppy
This website is great and it feels safe too. I paid the little bit to have priority access so I could message breeders and ask questions. I would recommend this website to find a puppy!
wouldnt have found her without Champdogs
Great information for newbies to the pedigree puppy scene. Took awhile but were able to identify & build a relationship with the perfect breeders. Don't know how it would have happened without Champdogs.
Let down at the last minute by people…
Let down at the last minute by people who say they are the top breeders. They make you jump to through hoops but very happy to let you down. Not acceptable. We were after a Rhodesian Ridgeback in Rotherham. Stay clear as they lie.
Prejudiced against kc reg sables
Although the colour sable is not recognised by kc they are registered by the kennel club however champ dogs are not allowing breeders to list puppies and also refuse to let you list a litter( non sable) if you have a sable, therefore the site is not a genuine representation of all registered puppies available
Champdogs Deliberately Hiding Health Issues
We wanted a Rottweiler puppy and found a breeder on Champdogs who sounded what we were looking for. We have not had a dog for 30 years so were unaware of the Estimated Breeding Value (EBV) scores calculated by the Kennel Club for the two main health issues of hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia.
On Champdogs the hip scores are given for Rottweilers and in our case the dog was listed as a B (European scheme) and the dam 5/5 = 10 (UK scheme by the British Veterinary Association (BVA) in conjunction with the Kennel Club). Looking up the Rottweiler Club's hip score limits we find it is 13 so we go ahead with our purchase of a Rottweiler believing we are buying a well bred healthy puppy.
At 9 months we notice problems with the dog's gait and after a £918 bill at the vets for several X-rays, it is confirmed he has moderate hip dysplasia (can't be scored until 12 months). So we investigate further.
Firstly, any Rottweiler, male or female, that has an EBV with a positive score, should not, according to the BVA and the Kennel Club, be bred from. But hold on a minute, all the sires and dams with a hip score giving a positive Estimated Breeding Value by the Kennel Club do not have an EBV next to them on Champdogs. This is deliberately omitted to make the dog/dam appear suitable to breed from.
On the other hand if a breeding dog has a minus EBV score it is clearly shown as <0 (less than zero).
Further investigation into the European grading scheme reveals there is no B rating at all. Champdogs claims the hip score equivalent of 7-16. It can only be B1 = 11-18 - or B2 = 19-25 so another way to hide health issues.
The BVA and the Kennel Club list the maximum score that any breeding dog should have. In Rottweilers the current maximum is 8 so neither the dog nor the dam should have been bred from.
The result is our 9 month old dog will need treatment for the rest of his life as arthritic changes take hold. He will be in pain.
Champdogs claims to promote responsible breeding which is clearly a lie. Looking at all the puppies for sale today on Champdogs, every one of them has a parent that has an EBV which is positive (Kennel Club figures) so should never have been bred from. It is easy to spot as the blue EBV after the hip score is missing. It really is that blatant.
Had we been aware of the health figures on the Kennel Club's site we would not have bought our puppy. We trusted the breeder and Champdogs who have both conned us. The BVA, the Kennel Club and the Rottweiler Club have been informed. We will contact Trading Standards next.
Do not believe some of the 5 star reviews as they are obviously false and do not use Champdogs if you are searching for a Rottweiler puppy.
New foundland puppy
We were looking for a reliable and professional dog breeder to purchase a Newfoundland dog, through Champdog we were guided to a fantastic breeder in scotland, she kept us updated with photos, videos, useful information, we picked our puppy up on 31st Dec 2021, she is a total delight very healthy, she is now approaching 1 year old, We are now waiting on a second from another breeder on Champdog , it is a fantastic site and everyone i have had dealings with have been very helpful and professional, if your looking for a dog , please use the site , you will not be dissappointed

Terrible admin bogus company
Terrible admin very rude. this website use to be ok has been a member for 8 yrs but they decided to kick me off saying i d had a back to back breeding over 5yrs ago. yet at the time they allowed this litter to advertised. a compony can’t pick and choose just because you didn’t re new your membership and they clearly threw their toys out of the pram. admin is very rude in their replies and wouldn’t recommend this bogus company as always about the £
Brilliant Organisation
I have just had our third and final litter of puppies and have found Champdogs nothing but perfect and helpful - than you Mark Roach
i started using them 17 + years ago to get my first pedigree dog and now i have bred , found wonderful families for my beautiful pups , nothing but good to say about Champdogs and i advise anyone looking to source a healthy pup to go to Champdogs
THANK YOU CHAMPDOGS
Springer spaniel breeder
This is the worst place to look at if you want to trust a breeder
I trusted Steve talbot springer spaniel breeder
My beautiful dog is three years old very healthy
Did everything by the books then suddenly playing in the field he fell to the ground
Screaming I was absolutely devastated
He couldn’t stand rushed to the vets
They said in all there experience they had never seen a dog break both front elbows at exactly the same time is hereditary
The surgeon was horrified Humeral Intracondylar Fissure (HIF) never had to do surgery on both legs was called Y break
We are still in bits it’s going to be a long road to recovery my boy will never be the same but he is still with us and we will give him the best life we possibly can
This site has very mixed priorities
This site has very mixed priorities, rejecting dogs, bitc and litters of puppies, yet happily list litters with numerous health problems.. detected.
Very happily take your money then just remove your membership and not even tell you unless you chase them for a reason.
Mark Roach and his “team” are just rude, arrogant and I’d actually say undermine breeders who are not only just visited, but checked and audited by the Council for their licence and The Kennel Club for assured breeders scheme.
I initially had a litter rejected for the fact the sire was dead and the litter was conceived by AI from frozen semen and I couldn’t provide an upto date eye test for a dead dog…… which I didn’t even own!
After explaining this I was booted off with a refund. I rejoined weeks later to then be booted off again many weeks later. This time for an error done by the Kennel Club. A genuine mistake done by someone of the kennel club when doing the registrations making it look like the bitc had whelped within 11 months of a previous litter.
All this was still on The Kennel Club records when I had a Champdogs membership before but was never picked up on until the second time I tried to install the membership.
Proof and the fact the assured breeders team and my local council check all paperwork, applications and the dogs when visiting makes it impossible to have been a mating done within the 11month period.
Maybe it’s time to hang up your hat Mark Roach?
Joke
I am fuming. I had an email saying that I could no longer have an account as I have been breeding non recognised colours. I breed golden retrievers so this is a joke. All my dogs have every health test under the sun and they have banned me from using? I have seen litters advertised on the site with above average hips and elbows which is not acceptable but they allow them? Won't be using ever again and the email is so rude.
Excellent site.
Do not have any problems with Champdogs. Have had a presence on the site for more years than I care to mention and never had any problems at all. In fact ALL the contacts for our last two litters came from Champdogs enquiries and we did not need to advertise at all. We are still getting contacts through them and most are happy to wait on our list for the perfect dog.
Terrible people
Terrible people, terrible site, terrible customer service. Avoid!
Poor Website Usability.
We was going to advertise on this site, however the service is overpriced and the website usability is shockingly bad.
Most people looking for dogs don't have the experience of using Yahoo or Netscape some 20 years ago to help them navigate the site.
If you want to upload a listing it gets 10 times worse! Somewhat reminiscent of filing your yearly tax return comes to mind.
The only people that will carry on using this site are the ones that have invested hours in filling in the forms and don't want to lose the work they have put In to their profiles. As far as I feel, this site is dead in the water without the operating company learning how to code websites in the new languages that are available.
Steer clear and don't waste your time or money until these issues are resolved.
Don’t waste your time
We initially signed up to champ dogs as our dog was having puppies and we thought this website a good way to find homes for all of them. Despite being Kennel Club registered they refused to allow us to advertise our pups. Apparently our dog had been registered (by the previous breeders as a colour not listed at the Kennel Club) although she was registered.
Thank fully we found lovely homes for the puppies and have decided to not breed again. We have asked champ dogs to remove us from the list of breeders which they haven’t acknowledged. We continue to be bombarded daily by requests for puppies and have reached the point where we simply can’t reply to everyone.
Maybe most of the breeders are in the same boat? Don’t waste time/hand your hopes on finding a puppy at Champ Dogs!
