Terrible customer service, Avoid Avoid Avoid!!
I used to be a loyal customer of CB2 since I really like their design. However, their recent customer service is horrible horrible.
I bought a sofa, a coffee table, a chest and a desk from their website in June. After two months waiting, the sofa is still not available, so I decided to do a partial delivery for all the reset pieces that are in stock. Long story short, they can't even schedule my delivery successfully in their system until my 5th reach out.
In the first time, the representative said she will book the next Thursday for me, which works perfect for my schedule. She said I should receive an email confirmation within 15min. However, I waited for a day, there was nothing in my inbox from CB2. So I reached out to her through email (I have her email since I forwarded my COI requirement to her email after the call), she replied back and said my delivery was not booked successfully in the system but she would do that again and double triple checked it. However, since Thursday is no longer available, she booked Friday for me. I appreciated her help and thought I can accommodate Friday by change my schedule a little bit. BUT, after a day, I still never received the email confirmation!
Then I logged in to my account online and reached out to an online representative. She said my delivery is not in their system at all! Can you imagine how frustrated I was? Then she was like I can do you a favor to book it for the next week. What can I do rather than accept it?
However, the funny thing is, you know what, it's still NOT BOOKED!
Until my 4th reach out, that girl finally booked it for me for the following week, which is way later than my initial schedule but I have no other choice. At least, I though, I should be good to go.
HOWEVER, on the delivery day, they only delivered one piece for me. Only the chest! Where are my other pieces?
I have to again reach out to their customer service (which I double if they really have!). They were like, you sure you didn't receive the other pieces? Finally they agreed to drop a note to the warehouse to check that for me. Today, they sent me an email with no apologies, no sorry, nothing, just said we have your other two pieces booked for next Tuesday. Reach out if you can't make it so we can book it for a later date.
I am just curious, does CB2 ever understand your customers have their day job? Do they know they should feel sorry for the inconvenience caused by their fault? I guess they don't! Such a joke!
I would never recommended any of my friends/family members to buy from CB2. Go with DWR/ Knoll, pay a little bit more but you get way much better customer service, deal with less hassle, and also better quality pieces.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service. I purchased 3 white high gloss shelves with drawer compartments. Within weeks there were cracks in the finish. Also, the magnet came out of the hole in 3 of the drawers that I had to glue back in. They said it was what I was cleaning them with. I only use water! They wanted me to send back in original boxes, which are long gone! These are the worst quality items for what I paid for them. Do not purchase them!
Horrible Service
After months of waiting for my furniture delivery, they cancel the day of the delivery because their truck breaks down. Then they want to reschedule the delivery weeks out. When I called and complained, they didn't seem to care and would not do anything to assist me. They kept placing me on hold for extending periods, then saying someone will call back to take care of this. They never did even after numerous calls back. Such poor service, I don't understand how they stay in business. I will never order from them again.

Ordered a dresser with assembly service. The dresser arrived a month late, the assembly service never arrived. I got a text message one day saying (no explanation) that it had been cancelled and my money would be refunded. The money was never refunded.
Trash cb2 will never order anything from you again.
Trash. I wanted to rearrange my room, and the bed frame collapsed. I barely moved it. It hasn't even been a year. I thought if I spent a little more on a bed frame that it would last awhile longer but to my surprise it did not even last 7 months. I would never ever buy anything from them again. Waste of 1200. I'm absolutely upset.
So Much Wrong
Where to begin? I bought a bed in January of 2021. When it arrived the delivery person asked if they were supposed to assemble it, which I replied yes. They come in (without a single tool) and start assembling it. About an hour or so later (mind you, I had to be somewhere and they were late as it was) they asked if I had a flat head screw driver (but they didn't even know what it was called...hilarious). I got 2 because I didn't know what size they needed. They came back about 15 minutes later asking if I had a Phillips screw driver (again, they didn't know the name), and I got them again 2 different sizes. About 45 minutes later they come and say they are done. I am now over an hour late to getting my kids from school. As time goes on the bed is getting more and more squeaky. It wakes my husband and I up in the middle of the night from moving because it's so loud. After a while my husband decides to see what's going on....I kid you not over 95% of the screws are MISSING! Not only that, the headboard is not screwed into the frame, a support beam in the center of the bed is completely missing, and the support slats are not screwed in at all....but wait, there's more. Because everything wasn't assembled correctly, there's now a 4 inch hole in our mattress!!!! My husband gets on the phone immediately with CB2. They offer us a new bed (that's now backordered) and say they will send the mattress issue to their insurance department. My husband gets some pictures for records and makes the bed as safe to sleep on as he can.
Jump to them delivering the new bed a month later....they ask to see the old bed. I say okay, but my husband has somewhat fixed it (by drilling new holes into the bed and doing that best he can with what we had). They then tell me that all they can offer me are new support slats and a new center support. I strongly tell them they will be giving me a new bed as that was the agreement. They hesitantly comply. Don't worry, they didn't assemble it this time.
During all this time we have been fighting with CB2 about getting a replacement mattress that they have ruined. It has been over 5 months and still no resolution has been made. They told us our mattress company said you aren't supposed to use our mattress on slats, to which my husband showed them right on the mattress website where it plainly says slat frames are completely fine to use with our mattress. They have been giving us the runaround by transferring us to different departments, and every time we get a new department they tell us they don't know what it's taking so long....just to take even longer! They have asked for the photos on at least three different occasions. They just barely asked for a receipt for the mattress this week to prove we actually own it? And here we are still without a replacement.
So....It's now July 2021 and we still don't have a resolution to this issue. All we were given it a $150 gift card to a store I have absolutely no desire to do business with again. Stay away...stay very far away from this company.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. What a joke…. No legit company doesn’t get on trust pilot and try to respond to bad reviews and make it right. Also, they won’t post honest reviews about their items. I’ve submitted several, and not a single one was ever posted… don’t waste your money. Honestly, I wouldn’t even care it’s overpriced for cheap quality bc I love the designs. But there’s no excuse for the customer service. Honestly, I feel like I’m at DOL for Goodness sakes. Also, I ordered a coffee table in January, that said it was available and ready to be shipped. Nope…. Still not here on june 29th.
Purcahsed a chair and sofa bed couch…
Purcahsed a chair and sofa bed couch and the delivery keeps getting pushed out (blamed on Covid). I have an extra person staying her with a baby and we really need the sofa bed! I would have never bought from CB2 if I knew they can't deliver. Other companies are getting it done! They blame poor delivery on Covid and do not communicate. They say I should have received tracking and my page still says I'd get it by early June and on the phone, she can't even guarantee August. They don't seem to have their stuff together!
Big Dipper Lamp failed after 3 years
Bought a Big Dipper Arc lamp from CB2 and the base failed after only 3 years. They offered a 10% discount on a new purchase.
The price on the lamp has gone up from $200 to $229 in the three years between my purchase and now. That is a 14% price increase. Thanks a lot CB2 you lost a customer forever.

I placed almost $7k order with CB2 and…
I placed almost $7k order with CB2 and basically nothing was delivered. They let me know less than 12 hours before the scheduled delivery that they would not be able to deliver my furniture. Reached them by chat and by phone and guess what? NOTHING! I was only left with the option to cancel my entire order and thats exactly what I did. Thanks Crate and Barrel for wasting my time and money. Good job!
Total Scam Operation! Giving C&B a baaaad rep!
Same experience as every other reviewer. Place an order, get an email stating there’s been a delay, wait a month, get another email saying another delay and this has continued for months. On one item, I received notice it had shipped and was given an estimated arrival date, when it didn’t show up, I called and I was told it never left the warehouse. When I asked why I got notice it had shipped if it never left their warehouse, they had no answer. They offered to order a replacement and let me know it would be another 3 mos. I then ordered another item a few months later and the literal exact same thing happened. Notice of shipment, never arrived, “sorry, it never left the warehouse but I can order a replacement and you should have it in about 8-10 weeks”. I also placed an order for a planter in January, just received my fourth email letting me know of a delay, says I should have it by mid-May. It’s a total scam operation, they take your money and keep it for months to simply offer a refund after they never send your item. Stop blaming your crappy customer service on Covid! I can order from other retailers and receive the item in a reasonable timeframe, and COVID doesn’t cause you to LIE about items shipping when they haven’t! Also, furniture measurements on the site are all wrong. Crate and Barrel should be ashamed and should cut this crap out now! Stop taking people’s money and delivering nothing!!

I ordered glass decor twice recently out of province. Items were securely packaged did not break.
Items arrived earlier than projected both times and the decor is beautiful.

Most upsetting were the nicks on the plates...on almost all of them! I feel the manufacturer needs better quality control of items before sending to consumer.
Lying about Covid-No response
Got excited because I saw a sofa I was looking for. Needed more info- CALL-TEXT-WEBCHAT-there is no one there. Other companies answer right away so their Covid excuse is a lie. Go to Scandinavia Design-they have great reviews and service. Let this old behemoth of CB2 die peacefully.
Ikea is probably a better bet
I spent $15k+ on furniture with CB2 about 2 years ago.
First off, you should just save the money and buy Ikea furniture because it's all coming from China and it's poorly made.
Secondly, everything took weeks to get delivered and 2-3 pieces were not delivered whatsoever. They decided to cancel the order with zero notifications.
I decided to forget about the experience since I have more important things. I left a bad review with their CS over email. No response.
About a month ago the bed broke. Literally, a $2000 broke. First - Imagine the humiliation. Next, I politely went to their customer support and they ignored me for 3 hours on chat.
After 3 hours they shipped the wrong part. Keep in mind, I had sent around 15 pictures and 3 videos in the 3 hours already.
Frustrated with that experience, instead of going through chat, I emailed them the pictures and the video and explained the problem in excruciating detail.
At that point, they told me since I moved the furniture to a new place, they would not be providing the part.
Here is the funny thing. The part costs $20 if that. It is a small piece of wood. Ok $50 with shipping WORST CASE.
I sent an email that this IS GOING to get posted on BBB - they stopped responding.
Honestly, I'm NEVER BUYING furniture again from CB2. This is INSANE. I've never spent $15k with a company and had them deny replacing a $20 part.
I bought the part on Amazon for $50. It is not about the money, but the time and the hassle.
Ikea would honestly be a better bet than CB2 - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I’m pissed. I ordered a $2k couch in November, today I received a second notice of delivery delay.. now it’s early MAY! I’ve been sitting on the floor since November.
My second bad experience was with customer service through “text”. I needed to verify dimensions of a table from their site, their dimensions were trash it didn’t make sense with the picture. MIAUNNA said she can’t be 100% that what’s online is accurate and left it as that. (Girl the whole business relies on online orders). Stating they’re working from home and limited on resources. Last time I checked you don’t give customers “I don’t know” answers”. I had to ASK for her to reach out to another department to verify the dimensions for me. Of course she didn’t like that, and threw my request away, because she was unprofessional and had an attitude, and I never got a follow up. Thanks MIAUNNA. I also DM’d them through Instagram to try and speak to someone else, and they’re giving out wrong answers too. PORCHA and MONIQUE, thanks for nothing.

Horrible customer service
I ordered chairs, they came with scratch marks and black ink on the leather. I created a return over the phone. Instead, customer service scheduled a replacement order. I called again to cancel the replacement, and they said they would. Well guess what? They sent an email saying my replacement was scheduled once again. Customer service at CB2 are deficient in the English language and make everything more confusing than it has to be! Do not get involved with them!
No QUALITY control
I ordered a bed in December to be delivered in January, in January they told me there was a delay, a month later they delivered a defective bed, they told be they will deliver a replacement ASAP, one week later they told me they had to cancel the order, I ordered a different bed, to be delivered in a week. The second bed was also defective. The quality control is very bad. Never again buying from this company.
