After reading all the hype about the Protrek FS30, I thought it would suit all my outdoor pursuits and be a great addition to my needs.
However, the good look, feel and quality of the watch is amazing, the tech inside is as expected, but the biggest and probably the most important thing that lets it down is the battery life when in full on outdoor mode.....
Each full charge was only lasting a day, and is not what I expected from a £450 timepiece, no good for the capabilities of what the watch was claimed to do, even worse, when the charged battery goes down, you are left with nothing more than a 1980s Casio digital screen with no light up facility, with no usual watch battery to power the normal functions that would of a cheap £5.99 Casio fake.
Very disappointed about the battery life, of an otherwise very nice piece of kit....

I sent my watch to repair because a button was not pressing properly. Casio repair centre sent it back to me extremely scratched (both glass and case) and somehow they managed to make the paint come off from the case. I sent it back (as they instructed after I sent them pictures clearly showing the problem). They kept it for a total of two and a half months. Yesterday, they decided to ignore all the defects that THEY caused and shipped it back to me. This is unbelievable. It is the worst service I have ever received in my life. They kept saying "we will get back to you" a number of times but never did until this happened.

Very good well known brand of electronic watches - buy it and you will never regret basically about anything out there for example no matter how hard it is. Can we do something better than that or not ? I do hope it should really make it possible for others to see.

For a watch that proposes suitability for a rugged lifestyle, you would expect these to last well, especially as they are not cheap! So thinking, got one of these Pro-Trek's (a PRW 5100) for my son's 18th. Its a lovely watch but at less than 3 years old, it has suffered an mechanical break-down of the hands which meant a repair, a new mechanical module. Customer service was great, but were unable to tell me the cause of the failure - and the watch has not been abused or used outside of what would be normal and has been cared for. Very disappointed in this and have to suspect the quality of components, but perhaps only having a 2 year warranty should have been an indicator!

Pink casio baby G, cost me £120, had it about a year, its very discoloured, looks dirty but isnt dirt. What a rip off.

Bought an eddis watch from my local jewellers last June 2018 for my partner and he's has it on only a couple of times it's been sent to Casio 4 times still waiting for it to come back from being repaired again why can't they just swap it

I called Casio 2 years into a 3-year warranty for a Privia piano. They picked it up the next day, and must have done an almost same-day turnaround at the repair centre, because it came back four days later including a weekend in the middle. Great service.

I had one of your calculators for school and i dopped it from around knee height and it ending up smashing a cracking the screen .
Your products are built like a brick but can not withstand a drop

I have had a wave captor for about 6 years. How can I fault it ? I can’t. if you do it care that does not say Rolex on the face buy a Rolex but it will not be more accurate.

A Protrek "Tough Solar" watch with RRP of £300 has lost much of the paint from the bezel in just three years despite only being worn occasionally. Casio say it is beyond warranty period and £60 to repair. No explanation on why it has worn so badly.

Had a Casio Waveceptor WVA-470, not a cheap purchase a few years ago. The watch had a plastic case with a stainless steel bezel (not as some retailers advertised "a stainless steel case", the bezel was held on by double sided tape (only discovered that after it fell off while swimming).

As it had been sitting in drawer for quiet a while I decided to see what could be done with it. Contacted Casio last week to see if it could be repaired and was told it would need a new case and I had to raise a repair case and send iot in for an estimate.

They had the watch on Thursday and when I checked online on the Friday it had flagged it as repaired. Phoned them today (Monday) to find out what the status was and they advised that the watch was no longer supported, the case was not avilable and they would be returning the watch unrepaired. Without the bezel it looks a mess so I told them to bin it as I wouldn't use it again.

Lessons learned:
1 - Casio build quality leaves much to be desired.
2 - When things go wrong their customer service is on a par with the build quality.
3 - For Casio engineers 'can't repair' = 'repaired'
4 - Never buy products which have Casio in their name

Casio are using Hermes to deliver my stage piano. It's been ages and I still don't have anything - my 6 year old miserable waiting every day and the first lesson of his life looming and disappointment when we have to cancel it. I can't comment on the piano as I don't have it (it will be shaken up from so many van journeys), but I don't recommend you buy anything for delivery from casio as they use hermes and it will entail 4 days (so far...could be 2 weeks?) of misery waiting at home and on the phone. SUCH a negative experience and association with the Casio piano and Hermes. The number for casio on the website isn't for sales just repairs etc so it's impossible to get in touch with them.

Purchased Casio gulfmaster GWN-1000B-1BER on the internet from authorised reputable dealer.

On receipt of goods digital display had missing pixels this was most visible in the temperature mode.

This watch clearly faulty from manufacture. Six weeks later Casio have still not replaced of repaired this item.

My Casio CDP-120 piano is fantastic, and I was disappointed to lose the screws to the stand whilst moving home. I got in touch with customer service, who accidentally quoted me the wrong price for a replacement. The next day, they got in touch to apologise and offer me the screws for free, which arrived within a couple of days. I was very pleased with the customer service I received, and glad to be able to get back to playing my electric piano in my new house!

after four repair which took place from 2015 up to 2016 my watch finally works. The question is for the how long this time.

Only the man who handled the case (the person answering the phone at customer service) deserves credit for patience and effort to settle the matter to the end.
Engineers if can be call it that these amateurs should be sack immediately
