Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable on car seats!

We bought a minikid 2 from here and the colour we ordered was out of stock but they called us to explain this and ask if we wanted another colour ordering (which we did). Izzy fit our car seat and was amazing at making sure we knew how to fit it ourselves in case we need to move it or refit. We also ordered summer covers and have dyed them!

Izzy was fantastic as Midlands Car Seat Centre, based at Cariad Babi. She was patient and knowledgeable, and spent lots of time with us to make sure the car seat was what we needed and that we were confident to use it. Thanks Izzy!

Our family had a fantastic experience visiting Cariad Babi for a new carseat. The store was really relaxed and welcoming, with toys for the kids to play with and comfy seats.

Kia was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to give us all the information needed to make an informed decision about which high backed booster to get for our eldest. Kia also helped us get a good fit for our younger child moving into the eldest's old Axkid, including fitting the seat on the other side. We will be back when we next need an HBB.

This was our third appointment with Kia, and she was as fantastic as ever.
She is so knowledgeable and is able to provide the information in such a friendly way.
Only thing worth noting is there are no longer parking permits, so parking needs to be paid for (albeit only a few £).

Kia was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable and listened to my needs regarding car seats. She was informative, providing just facts and science behind seats and didn’t give her personal opinions unless asked. I liked how there was absolutely no pressure to purchase and she left it open to me to make my own choice too. Will definitely be going back to purchase car seats from her!

Cariad Babi is an absolute gem. We came here for an introduction to babywearing session which was completely invaluable for introducing us to the different styles of sling, and for being able to practice putting one together with their specially weighted newborn doll - ideal for getting used to the process without needing to worry so much about the passenger! We'll be back to make use of the sling library, nappy library and car seat expertise for sure!

Lovely, genuine staff members sharing a wealth of knowledge and advice to those in need. I only wish i'd have found this store sooner for both car seats and carriers for my baby. There's so much to know and unfortunately lots of information of there is misguiding, but every single question I brought into the store has been answered sufficiently and back up by either experience or statistics by Kia and Izzy.

We had a great experience at Midlands Car Seat Centre, very welcoming, no pressure or judgement! Kia was very informative on car seat safety and advising us on choosing a car seat. No question was too much, in-fact Kia seemed to love the 21 questions I thrown in!! I’ll certainly be back for our next car seats and I’ll be recommending you to everyone!

Fantastic experience from start to finish and well worth the hour and a half drive to get there. From giving us the best options for our needs to fitting the new seat in various positions in our car to find out what works best, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent experience, the team are very knowledgeable and child safety is what they care about. We did not feel rushed, was informed correctly to help us make our own decision. No pressure in buying. Our boy loves his new car seat and we would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone!

Kia and her team are fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and very welcoming. The team made the experience of purchasing a car seat extremely easy as there was zero stress involved. My son loved playing with his new friend in the store and was completely comfortable playing whilst I looked at the car seats. Kia got him involved in the selection of his new car seat showing him the colours he had to choose from. We will be returning soon to purchase another car seat for our baby due late this year. Kia was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in the mammoth task of fitting three car seats across the back of our Nissan Qashqai ready for the arrival of our twins in the summer. She was able to find a combination that worked which we were incredibly grateful and relieved about. We went over our allotted time for the appointment but that didn’t mean we were left without the information we needed and we were still given a full demonstration of how to fit the seats that worked for us and even tested our toddler in what will be his new seat (he LOVED it!!). We’re really grateful for the knowledge and experience that Kia was able to pass onto us and we were delighted that she shares many of the same passions as we do. After our visit to check what seats will fit we’ve purchased a seat through the online store and I was particularly impressed with the unlimited aftercare on offer which will ensure my son is safe in his car seat. We can’t thank you enough!! We’ll definitely be returning for some help from the sling library side once our babies arrive so that we can carry our babies safely and securely.

I rung Cariad Babi to ask if they could fit custom fit seat covers on my new van they said yes they were very pleasant and polite and booked me in the following day ,
When I arrived I could not park had to go into the carpark which was a faff needed to down load the app took me 20 minutes and £3.00 to find the nice young girl said they don’t specialise in fitting car seat covers but did say if she could not do would refund me which I thought was very fair ,
Had I of known I would not of gone to the trouble of going but they were very helpful she did her very best I’m sure they would be good at fitting child seats ,

Kia is passionate about this not for profit organisation and it shows in the quality of what she does. A low pressure, helpful, friendly place to go to learn about baby carrying. I went to learn how to use my carrier and to check my car seat for safety and went away completely satisfied. Both baby-wearing experts I spoke to were friendly and reassuring to me as a first time mother with no experience of carrying. 100% recommend to anybody wanting to learn about baby carrying or car seats and they have some lovely wooden toys in there too.

Incredibly friendly and helpful, Kia was an absolute diamond when it came to assisting my wife and I with the understanding and purchase of a car seat for our first child. We felt safe and assured in Kia's deep knowledge. I would highly recommend the store to anyone that wants guidance from people who truly value the safety of children

A great experience and 5* customer service from beginning to end. Very knowledgable advice and just so helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anyone local to Derby who wants to invest in a long lasting rear facing car seat. I’m so happy i booked an appointment and walked away with a lovely, stylish and very safe car seat for my 7 month old (he fell asleep in minutes) aftercare and communication just brilliant and very quick at responding. We were so very impressed by the support we received from Kia when choosing our daughter's extended rear facing car seat. She carefully showed us two viable options, talked through their pros and cons and showed us how to fit in our car. She gave impartial advice in terms of which seat would fit our daughter and car best. We were able to purchase a seat and have it fitted that afternoon. Overall really impressed and have already recommended to our other parent friends. Thank you!

Kia checked my daughter’s car seat & refitted it. She was lovely talked us through everything from beginning to end. We had so many questions and she answered every one of them beautifully. Her confidence shines through & made myself & my husband trust her. Wish she was in Sheffield, hopefully one day.
