Drop-off at Cardiff Airport is really taking the PI$$. I had to drop my mum off, who is disabled, and was charged £4.50 for a few minutes. Absolutely disgusting WG/CWL.
DO BETTER!!!

The baggage claim was ridiculous. Took over an hour after landing for the suitcases from our flight to come out. There was no sense of urgency, priority or will to deliver efficiency.They also prioritised two flights that landed after ours leaving us tired and confused.

I just used Cardiff for the first time from Canada. I am originally from West Wales. 1. There needs to be better road access to the M4 west. It was frustrating that one has to go east from the airport A4226 -A48 and then north from Culver Cross to connect to the M4 west. The same when returning in the reverse. 2. I returned my rental car on Saturday morning at 8.30am and found the rental office would not be open until 12 noon. Although there is a key drop off I really needed to review issues with the rental co. 3. In order to drop off our luggage before dropping off our rental car I needed to access the drop off area it cost 4 pound fifty which is unnecessary and absurd. These services need to be upgraded if Cardiff Airport wants to be considered a good alternative for travellers

Cardiff airport is an exceptional airport far better than Bristol with a lot less walking .But they need to get a grip on new security scanners checking a lot of carryon on bags possible 40% for liquids emptying bags for acceptable liquids When you have spent a lot of time packing them to Ryanair’s stringent rules it is very difficult to get your clothes back in in good folded condition and this is often when security halls are empty. What is going on .

Flew out to Malaga on the 26th July, and back on the 2nd August. Both times were excellent experience.

Check in was efficient and quick, security same, and there was plenty there to keep us occupied while we waited. As far as airport experiences go, this was right up there.

only (slight) grumbles:

- sign post on the roundabout outside could be a bit more prominent, I ended up going on to the next roundabout and trying to get in through the staff parking area - completely my own fault, but maybe a bit more of a display for people like me that are a bit hard of thinking.

- a little bit limited in their destinations, but will definitely fly from this airport whenever we are going somewhere that corresponds with their destinations.

a good experience throughout, including a nice attitude from every member of staff we dealt with, whether airport staff, parking staff or in the shops/concessions.

Wife and I flew in from Mallorca today, met by some lovely members of staff who provided the wife with wheelchair assistance all the way to the baggage claim area and then helped me load our cases onto a trolley for us. Couldn't do enough for us. A thousand thanks Guys, you all do an amazing job, keep up the good work.

Airport taxi controlled by official transport.. Unless booked in advance they have monopoly and you can wait 60mins or more to travel less than one mile from the airport to a hotel. Unbelievable but true. Next time it would be quicker to fly to Bristol and get the 45 min coach.

I really wish I could give some MINUS stars for airport services. There was a delay checking in because of a defective luggage belt. On return to cardiff, there was not enough baggage handlers, hence an hour and a half delay at the luggage carousel.

The design of the airport is disgusting. Up a load of stairs then downstairs before going back up stairs. There are no escalators or moving walkways.

I would rather fly from a real airport like Bristol or Gatwick.

Delayed flight going out. Delayed flight coming back. Appreciate not Cardiff airport fault but delay with luggage collection on return and no coms from staff apart from ‘I’m not dealing with this’ by a female member of staff when asked where the luggage was. Extremely inappropriate. No compassion or understanding for the passengers despite them already experiencing a 7 delay.

We Recently used Cardiff Airport with assisted boarding. - what a great experience we were well looked after and what a smooth stress free departure it made the staff were so welcoming and respectful - nothing too much trouble for them -
From Checking In To going through security and boarding the plane we were looked after by all of the designated staff for assisted boarding
We usually use Bristol Airport - but Cardiff has excelled itself - we will only use Cardiff Airport in the future from now on
My son has Autism and I have had a total knee replacement - in March 2026 - so a wheel chair was provided for myself and they issued my son with a sunflower Lanyard

thanks for ruining my holiday,just got back from malaga today waited nearly 2 hours for baggage its not even busy there rubbish service never again

Great local airport, always plenty of room to sit. The cleaning staff work very hard to keep the areas clean . Met a lovely lady called Gaynor industriously cleaning the ladies toilets. Check in and security friendly and helpful. All the staff work hard to make the start and end of your journey as hassle free as possible.

So easy to fly from, drop off and pick up easy, helpful staff.

Experience in CA was okay, lovely little airport very quiet which is nice felt very relaxed…

Went through yesterday and the bag troll was there trying her luck ,just been a right cow tbh,said to me my bag look big and asked me to put it in the stupid blue thing and I explained I had a hernia operation and could not lift anything heavy ,the bag was on wheels for that reason she persisted and I explained again as other passengers were listening as what my situation was, then she wanted me to sit and wait so she could let everyone else through just been a bigger cow at this stage I said no you put thd bag into the baggage .measurement device as its your job to earn the 1.50 Mr o leary will give you for doing it ,she asked her colleague a young man to do it and low and behold it slid in,to perfection ,and she still try to be a cow ,so I smile and thanked her for her efficiency and carried on ,she should have realised that I've seen her in action before bullying an old couple out of more money for their luggage ,they just didn't understand the system ,and to turn up to your ryanair flight and see this despicable cow, that is an insult to the aviation industry ,she's been at this for years and if the Welsh tourist industry things that's ok and Mr o leary does shame on both of you and the airport is struggling atm ,this does not help .

After a late arrival from Rhodes at 12:30 am, I found myself still without my luggage by 2 am. This experience was quite disappointing and I doubt I would choose this service in the future.

The usual Ryanair baggage scam. A bag that was very specifically bought to meet hand luggage specifications and that has been on other trips with Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Portugalia TAB, Easyjet and BrusselsAir was stopped by a "lady" (Karen based on another 2025 review?) at Cardiff last Sunday clearly focused on making her Michael O'Leary commision. Methinks she needs some true happiness in her life so as to be less focused on targeting luggage.
Once past her, the Airside experience was lovely. Gourmet hotdogs and local microbrew went down very well.
But we will choose to avoid Cardiff airport and use Bristol airport in the future when visiting the Sir Geraint Thomas Newport Velodrome.

I don't often write a good review, most people only write one when there is a problem - I travelled this afternoon with my Mum to Cyprus, who is 84 years young, for the first time ever we asked for assistance and the assistance provided was second to none, absolutely exemplary. I don't know the gentleman's name to thank him personally. I don't know if I should say this, but he was an older gentleman wearing a hearing aid, I wish I knew his name, but a massive, big thank you to this gentleman for all his care and support, went over and above expectations, so a massive big thank you x

Do not bother with the airport lounge .. absolutely waist of money . Table service with only two people working . Menu was shocking with only a handful of things to choose from . I managed to just get a tea and cake in the whole time I was there as you can’t get staff to take your order .. staff was lovely I felt sorry for them .Cardiff airport lounge set up is completely wrong . Has to be their worst airport worst airport lounge in the world I have ever been to

We’ve used Cardiff Airport on several occasions over the years and this last visit was a really nice experience,for the first time I needed airport assistance because of my knee,I’m on the list to have it replaced and couldn’t walk very far without having to stop couple of times because of the pain,anyway the staff were really friendly and helpful,we booked assistance at Malaga because of the size of the airport,they really took so much care of us and went the extra mile
