Excellent staff

Visited the store at Cortonwood and interacted with Dianne and Harry who were both professional and friendly. Harry showed us where the cards I needed were as I was struggling.
Dianne served us at the till and she was really helpful in every aspect. This store is a wonderful asset to the business and it is definitely the staff who make it so

Don't call me LOVE

Bought two helium number balloons…

Bought two helium number balloons after 1pm today. Followed instructions about taking them out bag so they don’t deflate. At 3.45pm one of the numbers had started to deflate. Went back to shop at 4pm and was told they wouldn’t replace as it wasn’t faulty. And I would need to pay for another one. More helium was inflated. They turned the radio down and tried to listen to hear if air was escaping from it. Was also told even if a pinprick was in it, it wouldn’t be replaced. Implying I could have done it. Why would I do this! One hour later it started to deflate again. The balloon was clearly faulty! Won’t be using this shop again.

Poor Products Poor Service

On Saturday 17 January at approximately 13:00, we visited the Thurmaston Card Factory to purchase a helium-filled balloon for our five-year-old daughter’s birthday party. The balloon cost £7.99. Aside from the store only accepting cash, the purchase itself was straightforward.

Unfortunately, the balloon began to deflate within a few hours of purchase. I attempted to contact the store several times that Saturday afternoon, but no one answered the phone.

As our daughter’s party was scheduled for Sunday 18 January, we had no choice but to return to the store the following morning to resolve the issue. This involved a 20-minute journey each way. Although the store was due to open at 10:30am, it did not open until 10:45am. When we were eventually seen, we were told the balloon simply needed topping up and it was refilled.

Later that same day, the balloon deflated again and was unusable for the party. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing, particularly given the circumstances. Our daughter was understandably very upset.

We returned to the store for a third time on Monday 19 January and explained the situation to the member of staff at the desk. I requested a refund, which was provided. However, I was very disappointed to be told that this issue is apparently common.

Overall, this experience was far from satisfactory and added unnecessary stress during what should have been a happy occasion. Managing a child’s birthday party is demanding enough without repeated trips to the store to resolve a faulty product.

Went to return a faulty deflated helium…

Went to return a faulty deflated helium baloon which I had only bought the evening before and tried to return the day after. Manager refused to give me a replacement saying I had caused damage to the balloon. Phoned Customer Service whilst in the store ; the person on the phone was very emphatic and spoke to the store Manager and asked her to replace the faulty balloon. Issue sorted in the end but could have easily been actioned by the store manager. The branch was in Westway, Greenford.

I have always found staff at the card…

I have always found staff at the card factory from Dunfermline to Glasgow , edin and Dundee great customer service and happy people. Sadly on Monday 2nd Feb I went to my local shop in Dunfermline, was met with the most arrogant young man . I asked if anyone was on the tills having stood there for some time whilst he chatted to a young lady. I was met with a response that clearly expressed he did not want to be there. Grow up or get out young man. You have so let your colleagues down with your attitude and response to me.

The price label doesn’t come off cleanly

The cards from this vendor are reasonably priced and good value. However, when purchasing in-store, they should use a different type of price sticker on the back of the cards as it does not come off cleanly. It spoils the back of the card when removed. 😢😢😢

Disappointed customer

Ordered a personalised card for our Granddaughters 6th Birthday and a Valentines card for my husband,order delivery date before the 26th January,still not here!! Her Birthday is today so now we have no card!! Customer service useless stated a refund will be on it's way as they have been lost,not acceptable,will be taking it further as we're going to have one disappointed little girl.

Simply outstanding customer service…

Simply outstanding customer service from Denise at the fishponds store Bristol.
Always super friendly and remembers customers.
She rang 3 different stores to see if they had my product in stock and they did. 🥳
So grateful that this high level of customer service still exists. How that lady isn’t the manager I don’t know! :)

Also I have received great customer service a few times from another staff member named Becky. 👌🏽

Popped my balloon and wouldn't reimburse me

I visited the Card Factory in Leicester Highcross and was served by Michelle. I was extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received. I brought in my own balloon to be filled in store and was charged £4.99. While filling it, Michelle popped the balloon and laughed it off.

After this happened, I asked if I could simply pay the difference for one of Card Factory’s own balloons, as I had just paid £4.99 to have mine filled. I was told that the store “doesn’t take responsibility,” despite the fact that it was she who popped my balloon. No reimbursement or gesture of goodwill was offered. Instead, I was told I would need to pay £7.99 for a replacement balloon, meaning I would have paid £13 in total for a single number balloon, not including how much I paid for the original balloon. On top of that, I wasn't event refunded for the balloon she popped. It's their birthday the tomorrow and I was so gutted I couldn't have the balloons for them.

I feel that when a mistake is made by staff, some responsibility should be taken, and at the very least I should have been allowed to pay the difference rather than being charged again in full. The customer service in this store was severely lacking, and I left feeling very disappointed. I hope this store takes steps to ensure staff take accountability for their mistakes and treat customers fairly.

My visit to the store was good

My visit to the store in Castleford (Carlton Lanes) was good, I bought everything I needed for my friend's birthday.
The two lovely ladies in the store (both named Sarah) were very friendly, helpful and patient when I was looking for an extra gift !

The Glades- Not good

Re Card Factory in The Glades, Bromley, annoyed that the member of staff failed to put the envelope for the card in the bag. Causing inconvenience. Now have to go back to get one that should’ve been included which is very frustrating

only 3 of the 8 cards order were correct
wrong names in cards and on a wrong card for the occasion
Son had wrong name Emma
anniversary card had happy birthday TRACEY
Brother all wrong names
Son had Jess .
all the names in the cards both the recipient and the senders names had no connection with the order
Very disappointed will not use again .
£17 99 WAISTED .
