Business customer support is unacceptable. Opened a support case for a printer that has a software error months ago and despite chasing for updates we still don’t have an operational printer. We’ve not had to purchase another printer to keep the business running. Truly the worst support we’ve ever received.

What a shambles! Cocky rude and slow staff, not able to help what so ever. Calling me 'mate' and then 'lad' on chat, after I told them the stone cold truth that the service was well below par. Lol, what is that all about? Anyway, OMAR was the 'customer service' I spoke with, he's quite the charmer!

I am so impressed with my Brother printer. Physically neat and tidy. Installation simple. Printing simple, clear and clean. Replacing an ink cartridge is amazingly easy - thankyou!

Brother DCP-J1200W printer won't work from short cut print. I have called customer service technician 3 times and they are not able to get this machine working. I have had a few printers over the years and this unit is by far the worst, very frustrating. I want my money back

Unlucky, maybe. But my Brother DCP-J1200W is the most annoying piece of tech I have ever, ever, bought new. It took half a day to get it working with desk mac, and then only after begging this slowest of bot-ridden companies to send a patch. Even then, it loved to print things a DAY after asking. And it still won't copy in colour.
This morning it printed about 40 copies of an ink-draining map, unasked. It indicates there is still some useable ink. But there is not. Work is held up. Like other users, I often have to pull the mains power plug to re-set.
Previous printer was a 12 years old second-hand HP. Sweet. I really miss it.

Bought a brother printer a year ago and the ink ran out a month since. I purchased genuine brother ink and as soon as I put it in the printer it said ink is low??????
As I knew the ink could not possibly be low I just used the printer. I have printed approx 20 sheets in the last month and the ink has now run out. I now have a printer that is not fit for purpose.i am not happy

Excellent printer - rubbish followup service - was sent wrong sized black ink cartridge ( via their Eco Pro subscription plan ) and called to make sure this did not occur again and to get a replacement cartridge which was the correct size - a nightmare !! in frustration then wanted to cancel my subscription - which required me to spend more time downloading their app - ridiculous - over two hours spent trying to sort this out ( before the phone call tried to log into my account ).

The printer itself..great! But if you ever have to call their Customer Services then that's where they really let you down. I wanted to try their Ecopro Ink Subscription, so I signed up and got a message ink cartridges had been shipped (apparently) and I would be hearing from the delivery company. A week later I had heard nothing, no updates and no indication of when I might receive the cartridges. I couldn't find any details on my account online either. Used their online 'chat', nobody from Ecopro could talk to me, they can only escalate queries. I gave them all my details about my printer (even the serial number of the printer) and they said someone would get back to me within 48 hours. 4 days later, nothing, rang them again and went through all the information again (serial number etc..) and they said someone would get back to me within 24 hours. Nothing. Used the 'chat' function again and once again was told I would hear back within 48 hours. I ended up cancelling my account and buying a cartiidge myself. Brother! you're a big company, sort out your customer services!

I bought a new brother MFC-J6540DWE inkjet printer for my business partly on the basis of the offer of 6 months EcoPro ink supply if I signed up. That was 2 months ago and I still can't sign up (ref 7001781076) I have called technical support several times, I get fobbed off with various excuses, it's my bank, it's my card, it's my computer....it isn't. They never call back, I do get emails occasionally suggesting I try reset etc, but they don't resolve the problem. Hours of my time wasted. They now confess the EcoPro team need to do a manual set up,but no joy after 2 more days waiting for a call. I have just spent £106 on genuine brother ink cartridges as I have run out whilst trying to set up this subscription. Appalling service.

I bought a printer 9 months ago and I paid 320£ , now it stop working and it says no ink , I change with new one but still same problem ! I restart printer and update firmware but still not working !!
I contact brother , poor costumer services they didn’t help me at all , and the only way to contact them it WhatsApp or email , and because of this method of communication Someone is less likely to respond! So my advice is to not waste money on Brother printer ! Now I have to bought another one from different brand and I will

Worst customer services ever I meet, Bought brother printer with 3 years extra warranty, after 6 month my printer started playing up, so I tried to use my warranty but what a surprise ! I am in UK, bought printer from UK site and they have send me some solution in SPANISH ! Not helpful at all, raised ticked and no more answer, I am forced to buy printer from another competitors because brother is not accepting warranty that I paid extra for, shame on you Brother !

Bought a new printer model MFC-L3740CDWE.
Tried to install it and it all failed. Asked me for my operating system and Windows 7 not supported? Tried to use their technical-support page and got

"Incorrect model entered, please verify the model"

when I entered the model perfectly, and of course their site is no doubt all run by bots.

We are a charity and have been duped into believing that when we took out a pro all in one printer and cancelled subscription after 3 years ,they sent all the cartridges now we are being told we cancelled subscription and inks won't work
We are in cost of living crisis and you stole our money we can not afford to subcrib any more now our printer won't work. What kind of nonsense that's not right you owed me the ink then sent it now you are saying because we cancelled our subscription with you you stopped our machine???
Ridiculous not right at all the machine is no good to us now
Do something we are a non profit and rely on this to do our work ,we do not have money to buy new one

We bought an overlocker sewing machine a few years back and whilst it wasn't used much, it was bought as an investment to be used for projects over a long period of time. These things are an expensive purchase so we wanted to go with a perceived reliable and reputable brand. Big mistake.

This year, but within a handful of uses since the machine was bought, the motor blew and as it was out of warranty we contacted Brother asking about repair. We also contacted independent repairers, but they were unable to obtain a replacement motor as only Brother will supply those, and at significant markup.

It would cost more to repair than to simply throw the unit away and buy a completely new one! How is this environmentally sound, or in any way good customer service!! These machines are bought to last decades and this one went bang within 10 uses!

AVOID BROTHER PRODUCTS they are unreliable and their customer service is non-existent. I'd give -1/5 if I could.

The worst customer service I think I've ever experienced. It's like their agents have been trained to antagonise you. They don't listen or try to help. I've tried phone, webchat and WhatsApp. I was told my case was being escalated and I'd receive a response within 2 working days- I didn't. I reported my experience via their customer satisfaction survey and have had no response. I've repeatedly asked for the direct contact details of someone I can make a formal complaint to and been told that this isn't possible. I'm writing this review in a last ditch attempt to get the attention of someone in the company who actually cares about their customers or at least, their reputation!

Have always used HP but thought would give Brother ago. What an antiquated machine.
Absolutely appalling

Cannot rate the service from Brother Sewing Machines, highly enough.I emailed them regarding the instruction manual, for my 4234D. Reply email from them the next day, problem solved, one very happy customer.

Buyer beware! I did nothing as complicated as buying a toner cartridge from them - big mistake. Turned out I needed to return it, unopened. Despite their returns policy stating:

The process was anything but simple. 4 phone calls, failed whatsapp and eventually an operator had to raise a 'ticket' just to get an RMA - bizarre. When I asked for a complaints procedure I was told I would have to raise a ticket to get that detail.
Best avoided.
