Very pleased to have bought a Brennan B3+. Delivered the day after order and very well packed. Very easy to set up. Connected to WiFi and firmware update within 10 minutes. First cd ripped a few minutes later. Found the Sonos players. Initial problem was that playing through the Sonos was patchy and the web interface indicated that the WiFi did not have enough capacity and the buffer was emptying. This may have been the case as trying later in the evening it was fine. Over 50 cds now uploaded a day later. One issue I have is the use of Royal Mail Tracked with no signature. In my experience Royal Mail are quite capable of losing tracked items and their tracking does not always update. Whilst Royal Mail said they had the package, it was delivered by a third party who basically just left it on the doorstep without bothering to see if we were in. We have quite a lot of pedestrian traffic so anybody could have taken it! I would suggest a more secure delivery partner given the cost of the item.

Only had my B3 a few days, loaded nearly 100 CD's that we haven't used for ages, listening to music we haven't heard for years. Intergrates really well with our whole house Sonos system. Our daughter has cancelled her Spotify account and is loving having loads of choice from CD's she's never heard before. Thank You.

Great website with so much information on all the products Brennan can provide which helps when choosing the correct product for you. Decided on the Brennan B3 + EZB and delivery was very swift. Very easy to setup with so much useful information on Brennan website & forums to assist you. Recommend this product very highly for users wishing to keep their cherished CD's for years to come & digital Radio is a added bonus, linking to external Sonus speakers is a breeze.

I am a sound engineer of 20 years 'trained' experience and familiar with tech so I wanted to store my 500 CDs digitally and sell the 'rarities' thinking my whole collection would be manageable from my laptop and play via Bluetooth headphones 90% of the time rather than through speakers.. The advertising led me to believe this was possible. How wrong I was!!!! The B3 failed to work as indicated on the product data in conjunction with Bluetooth Headphones or with my Computer and I-Phone via the app and despite hours of effort by me. Troubleshooting and AI searches failed to solve the problems and I found reviews by others of the same difficulties. The item is not fit for purpose as advertised IMHO and I was sad but am confident that a wi-fi/bluetooth amp and my laptop music player will allow me to achieve my aim. I fully complied with the returns policy but whilst I got a notification it did not include my £10 DPD postage Charge or my £22.95 Royal Mail return cost. However this was eventually rectified and I am not out of pocket as a result of the experience. I am however retaining my 1 star rating as the connectivity and music management performance is not up to the price level being asked. I could have bought a dedicated laptop and CD ripper working with Exact Audio Copy software and Foobar 2000 music player/manager and get great sound through my Bluetooth Headphone Sorry guys......start again but this time start with the sound and communication software and get that to a competent and user friendly standard.

The service from the site was good all items were delivered in a timely manner.

The Brennan B3 and VB1 are both good devices that do what you expect them to eventually. The output also sounds good on my sonos speaker. However the lack of a proper instruction manual for either item makes using them overly complicated. There is a user forum out there which does give answers on how to do basic things, but everything could be made a lot more straightforward just by doing a manual as a pdf.

Also while, the app does something I am not sure what it does as unless you are lucky it appears to not control the Brennan device (I think this is due to the output speaker not being able to be set to a default, and the system not being aware that there is no speaker wired to the brennan device itself), a default setup would be useful and possibly allow music to be stopped and started on demand. This problem carries through to the web UI, which when used on a phone is about as much use as the app, but on a computer does add some additional functionality. However even here it seems to be a matter of luck if the music will start or stop when you press the play/pause button on the web UI.

Finally, in my nievete I thought that the Brennan B3 and the VB1 were designed to talk to each other, and would work through the same app or UI, this is not the case and the overall feel is like that of a prototype device that was released to market too early.

Please do not take this as a negative review. The devices both sort of do what I expect them to, it is just a case that nothing feels quite finished which means I am left hoping for a significant amount of UI development and additional functionality being added to the app and or web UI to make it a finished product.

Easy to set up and start ripping CDs. Easy to connect. Sound quality is good. However the database used does not have all CDs (has about 75%) and there is limited export of Music Collection Data

Purchase and delivery were simple and efficient, and once the device was set up (not quite so simple) it works a charm. But, and here's the flaw, the tiny 'set up' instructions and accompanying QR code link to the 'complete set up instructions' are worse than useless. They don't explain how to link it with your Sonos system. Not at all. A quick Google sorted me out and it was up and running in no time, but it really shouldn't require extra leg work to sort it out.

Even know the b3+ did not meet my needs. The Brennan B3+ was just not right for me. However, the team at Brennan have a Very Good customer Service, Brennan cares about customers and service.

I will be looking out for a B4. Hopefully it will be a little easer to use and set up.

The app and user interface are very poor and the sound is very thin with no depth or punch at all
Gone back to my old Rotel amp & Mission speakers, the sound difference is night & day

My package arrived very promptly and was well packaged. I was a bit worried about the cost of this cd ripper especially as there were some issues mentioned on the forum, however I needed not to worry, the set up was easy. My marley wireless speakers connected very easily and it ripped my CDs very quickly at varying speeds between 6x upto 50x. Quality of the sound through the wireless speakers was excellent, I got the 480g version and it took my collection of 750cds with space to spare. Two weeks in and I'm so far impressed

I like the simplicity of the design and the fast delivery

I dislike the lack of a proper printed instruction manual, yes I know one can use the menu and downloads, but I really like to hold a booklet or even a cheaply printed manual.
Also you need to consider impaired eyesight users when designing the size and layout of the push buttons eg surface texture, shape and size.

Excellent product that arrived very promptly after being ordered

My new Brennan B3+ gets a definite 5 from me but I do have a caveat to this that I shall mention later. I love the product itself and once I got into the mechanics of how it works it has been real fun ripping my CDs'. So far I have done about 200 CDs' in less than a week and if I could describe the exact machine onto which I wanted to get all of my CD collection in one place, easily accessible and with the ability to create my own playlists the Brennan B3+ would be as close as possible to my ideal. I had seen other reviews about lack of documentation and general support for the product but they turned out not to be a problem. Firstly I would recommend the Ray Dion Youtube videos on the product (the "Brennan B3 WebUI Description" video is marvellous for a beginner like me) and, having looked at the Brennan User Forum there appears to be tremendous help there. I have come across a few minor niggles with the software (e.g. certain characters are not accepted when editing track and CD names and the scroll bars can be a little temperamental) but I really like the product. As for the caveat that I mentioned; as time goes by how long will the CD remain mainstream and so can I trust that there will be real support for this type of product for many years to come. (My grandson laughs at me for using CDs' to listen to music!) So, if things go wrong in the future, will my large Brennan CD database and music files survive or will I end up with a stack of standalone CDs' once again?

Well, my B3+ is an outstanding piece of kit.
But....
I needed a fair amount of support to overcome issues.....
All issues were solved by stabilising Internet access.
Poor WiFi signal was the route of everything that went wrong.
Once solved by going the Ethernet way, everything was fine.
The B3 itself is fantastic, and the sound is very very good.

But a little more precise information from Brennan on the importance of Internet stability would be recommended. Without the support forum made up of Brennan owners mostly, I'd be struggling thinking the unit was faulty.
