The Bournemouth Airport Management Team, together with over 220 members of staff, oversee the daily running of the airport. The primary function is the management, delivery and operation of a range of airport services which enables passengers to move through the airport terminal building onto and from an aircraft in a safe manner with minimal delay and disruption. Bournemouth Airport is also committed to monitoring and improving the overall quality, environmental and health and safety performance in all aspects of service delivery.

Poor service at cafe.

Travelled to Rhodes on 28/06/2025 via Ryan Air,0830 flight;arrived at airport;extremely busy especially in the cafe after check in.There was ONE member of staff serving;we felt very sorry for her,had to queue for 25 minutes to get a coffee! Clearly the airport are trying to save money by not having enough staff available but all they achieve is a stressed staff member and very frustrated passengers expecting to enjoy the start of their holiday but failed by Bournemouth Airport.Not good enough and could be easily rectified.

Small airport with friendly staff

Flew on an early weekend flight from here. Taxi drop off meant not too far to walk to the check in desk and all of the staff we encountered were smiley and chatty on outbound and return flights - even in security / passport control. Short walk to gate from bar. Reluctant to use other airports again.

Another rip off airport

Very expensive, queues, not enough staff, crap food quality and rip off prices. flight delays. Extortionate pick up drop off fees

Toilets just as rubbishy.

Thanks for a short reply, maybe the rest of airport could be up to your duty free standard area?

Retains Personal Touch

Really Pleased that Jet2 are flying from here.
Bournemouth is easier and closer to get to for me in Weymouth and not too large as to be totally impersonal like Bristol has become.
The onsite Parking is good that your car stays where you park it and you do not have to wait fora bus to take you to the car park - the signage to get out presntly is non existant leading to a few cross words and frustration but I think this will be quickly resolved within the next week or so.

Great Airport & Amazing Staff

Bournemouth Airport is a really lovely little airport—small, clean, easy to get around, and everything just feels really straightforward. The restaurant is expensive and not tasty at all (do not recommend it), but the staff were lovely.
Big shoutout to Elana (or Elaine – sorry if I got that wrong!) who helped me out massively. I totally forgot to book the car park and was pretty stressed at the time. Honestly, I wasn’t the nicest to her – a bit rude, actually – but she stayed calm, smiled, and explained everything clearly to me in simple terms.
Her friendly attitude really helped ease my anger at the time, and she sorted the car park booking for me (and even got it cheaper online than at the airport!). On top of that, my wife was booked for special assistance, but nobody was around, so Elana kindly offered to help us through check-in too. All went smoothly and quickly, and once we passed the security, we went to the designated area for special assistance, where the team helped us (super service).
I honestly want to say sorry for how I acted – we were under a lot of pressure, but she really handled it like a pro and just kept being helpful. So thank you so much, Elana/Elaine – you really made a difference to our day.

I didn't realise I had left my back car…

I didn't realise I had left my back car window open when we left for Spain. On our return the car park people had sealed up the window for us to get rain getting in while we were away.
What a nice thoughful thing to do. I cannot thank them enough for doing it, don't think it would happen at any other airport.

Small and busy airport but staff makes…

Small and busy airport but staff makes the difference.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Elena, for her incredible help and kindness when my family and I were flying out to Malaga last month. My mother was booked for assistance, but due to how busy everything was, it became quite overwhelming for us.
Elena stepped in and went above and beyond to help us check in and guide us through the entire process. Her charismatic and smiley nature truly made all the difference. She made us feel calm and cared for during what was a very anxious time for our family.
Thank you, Elena, for your patience, professionalism, and genuine warmth — you turned a stressful experience into a smooth and memorable one. People like you make all the difference. 🙏✨

Who designed the car park

Who designed the car park? Aside from the exorbitant prices to park, the design must have been put together by a 3 year old child. Impossible to exit within the permitted time zone; so possibly another method of extracting cash from innocent holidaymakers. Your management team needs review the design and working of the car park and reduce the parking fees.

The restaurant is soooo sub standard Over priiced and appalling
I paid £91 for a meal and drinks waiting for our flight to Malaga It was awful
Gonna take my own food next time !!!

Apart from the convenient departure location. It’s absolutely awful!!! …

Parked opposite the airport at a Just Park which was half the price of the airport. A brisk 12 minute walk. We got to the airport grounds and there’s a big sign to say no foot passengers!! Excuse me? They make it so difficult for people to go to the terminal on foot with a suitcase that it almost forces you to pay either the drop-off price or the extortionate car park fee. We then went to grab some breakfast at the Evergreen Bar and Kitchen. Had 1 Breakfast Bap and 1 Sausage Bap. All I can say is, I’m glad we were famished as they were awful, luke warm as was the tea. As we sit here there are lots of tables with used plates and cups piling up and the staff are acting like they simply don’t want to be here. I would usually complain to the staff before doing a public review to give them a chance to put things right, but having asked where the milk and spoons were, only to get an apathetic response - what’s the point? The absolute worst food and service I’ve ever experienced in an Airport. Shame on you BOH. 😡

We would like to give a shout out to…

We would like to give a shout out to Phil and John who helped us from the car park into the terminal. As soon as they saw me with my walking stick they offered to get a wheelchair, which I gratefully accepted. They were very courteous with a gentle humour. Our holiday had trully begun. Many thanks.
Thanks also to Mark who took us through security, he was very respectful and helpful to us. A big thumbs up to Bournemouth Assistance.

Luggage and parking

We returned to Bournemouth Airport at 9PM and, together with the rest of the passengers from out TUI flight, went to the luggage carousel. This needs to be redesigned: the area available for standing around the belt is far too small to enable people to be able to pick out their bags safely and it resulted in a scrum. This is not acceptable in a modern airport handling large groups of passengers.
We then left the terminal building to pick up our car from Car Park 2 and were dismayed to find no lighting or even proper signage in the area. Other airport car parks have clearly identified lanes so that you can locate your car with the minimum of fuss, but not Bournemouth. We had to wander around the unlit car park until we found our car in the gloom. Not a good experience.

People vaping cannabis inside baby changing room

What’s with telling people to go vape medical cannabis inside the baby changing room Bournemouth Airport? Seriously?
Im all for medical cannabis but this should be done in smoke area or any open area, definitely NOT in the baby changing room.

We were unable to take our flight from Bournemouth due to illness at the last minute before boarding. Everyone at Bournemouth Airport was kind and helpful. We were never treated as if we were an inconvenience. Well done Bournemouth - you are doing a wonderful job.
