Boots Hearingcare - Harrogate Anmeldelser 

I decided to try Boots Hearcare Harrogate for a hearing test.
Firstly, you can not contact them by phone so had to go through the online booking process and was disappointed to find that the 1st available appointment was 2 - 3 weeks away. Anyway, I made the appointment and took the day off.
I received several messages saying they were looking forward to seeing me, the last one being on the morning of the appointment. Just 4 hours before the appointment they sent a text cancelling me and a link to re-book! I did look at the link only to find the 1st available appointment was almost 3 weeks in the future.
I wanted to know why my appointment was cancelled at such short notice so rang the only number they provide and spoke to someone in a call centre somewhere. He alleged he could not put the call through to Harrogate and then continually interrupted me and spoke over me every time I tried to speak.
There are plenty of audiologists around these days and I dare say that every one of them has a telephone, can give an appointment in less than 3 weeks and would not then cancel it a few hours before with no reason given and no attempt to expedite an alternative.
I will certainly never use Boots Hearcare again. The whole experience was disgraceful

Rushed, rude and no respect.
Firstly appointments cancelled on the day. I do understand people get sick. Rebooked.
On arrival told everyone had gone home. Assured receptionist we had appointments.
I was reprimanded, being asked why I hadn’t bought a Hearing Aid 4 years ago. Interview was rushed and lack of respect throughout. No smile. It felt like I was a nuisance and closing time couldn’t come too soon.
Brief hearing test was conducted by M, far too quickly. Elderly people need a second or two to hear a sound. Finished early.

Very helpful and professional audiologist. Would use again if the need arose.

Overall the experience was very good, the room could have been bigger as there is so much to store.

I have been back today to have my hearing aids tweaked because I wasnt feeling they were beneficial. I have a further appointment in two weeks to have molds fitted. We will see what happens then.

My hearing and the hearing aids themselves were explained to me very Well and I appreciate the difference it has made.

Very short assessment, technician lacked empathy, not at all reassuring and no real explanation about the outcome other than I needed hearing aids- then pushed a price list at me .
End of assessment!
