The terms for buying a hearing aid are…
The terms for buying a hearing aid are not made clear before you buy! No mention of the fact that batteries are not supplied with the hearing aid, unlike most other suppliers - a large expense over the life of the hearing aids. I was also unaware that I had to put down a deposit of 10% to place the order. I still can’t find either of these 2 conditions in print. The audiologist waived the 10% until I collect the hearing aids as I did not have the right card with me!

Problem with new hearing aids
I had new hearing aids fitted on 3 Nov 2022 and they worked fine for about 5 weeks when they stopped working. I rang the helpline and they told me how to reboot them. All was well for a week or so when the same thing happened again - 4 more times in all over about 4 weeks. I rang the helpline and they made me an appointment to have the aids checked. The lady I saw was very helpful and said to leave them with her and they would probably be replaced. No one got back to me for 2 weeks so I rang the helpline again. They got someone to ring me back. That person said there was a problem with the charging and the aids would be refurbished. I did not thing that was acceptable given that I had paid almost £3000 for them and insisted I had them replaced. I am going to have the new pair fitted today but I have been without them for 3 weeks.
