The worst experience

This is hands down the worst excuse for a bank I've ever dealt with. Their staff are a bunch of lazy, greedy parasites who sit around doing nothing while collecting paychecks. I called them for a simple debit card issue from overseas. instead, I got a full week of harassment and zero results. Useless doesn’t even begin to describe them. This place is a complete joke. Save yourself the headache and never open an account here unless you enjoy being treated like garbage. Rude employees. Especially those who can't type an e-mail properly by looking at the screen. There is a rude and lazy woman at Biyagama BOC Bank who handles international transactions and debit card transactions. Please fire such people before the bank reputation gets even worse.

One of the worst banks in sri lanka

One of the worst banks in sri lanka. Never even think about opening a BOC account. Branch managers promote fraudulent promotions which no one would take responsibility in the end. Customer service is utter rubbish. They will hang up calls as their wish. They will never give any solution for any problem and tell you to visit a branch. Even inside the branch they will tell a totally different thing. Absolute waste of time. Never ever join this bank.

Unsafe Online platform, terrible customer service

Nuwara Eliya and Rikillagaskada branches are beyond redemption. The web portal they have is useless. I won't even keep one rupee more than I have to on this weak bank. It's the worst bank I have ever gone to.

P.S. - Their online system doesn't send confirmation emails, or SMS or sometimes doesn't even update the web interface after 9 pm. I have confirmed this with several bank employees as well. Even if the messages arrive, it takes at least an hour or two, in my case, it took 5 hours. They didn't issue OTPs for the transactions I did. I have moved around 250,000 of my money over Internet banking and got no OTPs. NONE.

Level of Customer care is 0

Level of Customer care is 0. Seems like they don’t want gain business anymore. They have lots of manual work compared to other banks in Sri Lanka. The staff needs to learn about customer care especially in Jaela branch.

Very bad service

Very bad service. The accounts of the accountants are held without notice, as well as those who sign the guarantee. Neither the borrower nor the guarantor is informed, and the accounts are held as soon as they feel like it. We don't get money when we need money. People are helpless.

The worst bank in Sri Lanka

The worst bank in Sri Lanka. Because it takes many hours to enter the bank remittance of their trade department into the customs system. They’re wasted people's time. I complained about this. He says he will see, that's all. I wanted to tell you about this because this happens every day.

customer service (hot line)

very poor customer service, they dont know how to address a customer even. As a bank, you should respect the customers. Customers are the base of any company, very rude in speaking. please don't recruit employees who are trying to take revenge from customers. your customer loyalty is destroying by employees like this.

Foreign Pension

I am a foreign pensioner living in Canada. I travelled to Sri Lanka after 4 years to withdraw the pension.I attended the Metropolitan Branch to attend to same. To my surprise I was overwhelmed by the way the staff was helpful. In fact may be due yo my age they gave me a seat and brought everything to the table helped me in all ways to make me comfortable. They even advised me on several issues. Nisansala and another lady whose name I can’t remember were so helpful and also very pleasant in assisting me. Hats off to you both. Their help was very much appreciated. Keep up the good work ladies.

Terrible customer service if you are…

Terrible customer service if you are not at a branch in person ! I wish I could give NO stars. They don't reply to emails for weeks if you are lucky, you have to repeatedly ask them something. If you are not in the country it is even worse. They have locked the online access id and no one responds to emails unless you want to pay huge international call charges and to be put on hold. Their whatsapp number is totally useless as they don't respond to any messages or answer any calls either. Need to find a reliable and accountable bank and move everything as it has been far too long with these issues.
