Quality wooden blinds
We have a large window in our living room and it can get really hot sometimes.
Therefore, we’ve decided we need some quality woden blinds for our home.
Delivered 7 days later well packaged and in good order. I must admit I am very happy since the delivery was flawless during this pandemic. Highly recommended.

As a small business owner myself, I very rarely post bad reviews as I know the impact they can have. However, my experience with Blinds UK has been so terrible that I feel I have to document it. After paying a substantial amount for my Roman blinds they arrived with the fabric puckered and the weight bar at the bottom not sealed in and sharp at the edges. The mechanism was extremely loose and flimsy and they took a long time to pull up and down, making a large clicking noise as they went. After contacting BlindsUK they told us 'this is how they should be.' Then after only a few months the fabric on the blinds began to pull and fray at the edges. The suggested remedy for this from BlindsUK was to simply 'cut the frays off with scissors.' By the time this response came our blinds were in a terrible condition. We initally requested they be remade and, after being refused, we asked for a refund. They again refused as they 'don't do refunds.' After many months of emails BlindsUK agreed to a remake. When they arrived months later, the fabric was still puckered and frayed and the mechanism was exactly the same. After 7 months of interaction, no resolution has been offered. Terrible product and terrible customer service.

Hi Guys! remember me? well it seems you cant really forget me, can you? .. having written a number of scathing reviews, some of which you tried to appeal against...and failed, because you seem completely INCAPABLE of removing me permanently from your mailing lists ... after quite a hiatus without your weekly Sunday 15% offer e-mail......... three weeks ago they reappeared, studiously I have unsubscribed each week, mainly because I REALLY DO NOT want to receive your "spam" . So here is the game, each week I unsubscribe, and then get an e mail, i will write another negative review. The more i have to unsubscribe, the lower your ratings become... Simples ?

Quality getting worse and order incorrectly processed.
I have bought several blinds from Blinds UK. Ay first I thought they were good, but the quality of the blinds is poor so they break very easily and I have had to order several replacements. The last one I ordered on line as I couldn't get through to anyone on the phone, and for some reason my order was changed their end and while I noticed one change and flagged it up with them, I didn't notice the other change so the blind was sent with the controls on the wrong side. I tried communicating with the company to get a replacement blind made, but they refused to accept responsibility for the error even though there is communication from me flagging up the other error. So I have ended up paying for a blind that isn't what I initially ordered. And they have been totally unhelpful. We have also noticed that the blinds are getting even flimsier.

Good Company gone Bad but sorted out the issue
I have ordered many blinds from this company for my previous home and was very happy with them all, encouraging friends to buy from them too. However, my most recent purchase was very badly made and unfinished. I sent photos to them and the reply came back that they ‘looked ok’ and to try holding my steam iron up to them. I bought a fabric steamer as my steam iron spits limescale from time to time. I’d like to put the result below but don’t think I’m able too. I’ve emailed them but the mail has bounced back saying the address isn’t recognised. Where too now? Trading standards I guess. Very bad customer service, anyone can have the occasional faulty product, I would have accepted this and still recommended them to people if they had resolved the issue.

As their reply below states the material is a softer type but if because of this it hangs incorrectly and/or puckers I would suggest not having it as an option for roman blinds
Although I’ve received the reply below, there is obviously not a great deal of communication as after asking for more photos Blinds Uk have had me parcel up the blinds and return them so that they can be reworked. I’m awaiting their return where I hope to be able to post a favourable review.

My blinds were returned today, very well packaged as always. I’ve just rehung them and the difference is amazing. Although the material is soft they look fresh and finished. I’m really pleased with them, thank you Blinds Uk for sorting out the problem. I will be ordering from you again, as I said everyone has a mishap once in a while but you put it right. I’ll start looking for ones to use in the spare room. Thank you.

Buyer Beware
Ordered shutters, (turned out to be the wrong type of shutters for my window,) they arrived within specified time. Very disappointed, build quality ok, but finishing was very bad. Shutters were returned to be repaired.
Returned 1 month later, the original fault, had been corrected. But when we tried to fit the shutters, they would not fit correctly into the frame, they were warped and twisted, in fact one was a banana shape. Hinges bent, magnets not sunk into frame. Even had an independent shutter company come to look, was told 'worse shutters they have ever seen.
Took advice, asked for refund, they offered to repair, we refused.
Complained to Trading Standards, received some very helpful information from Citizens Advice and followed their advice to the letter.
Also submitted a cashback claim to my credit card company.
Result - full refund received.

Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. Ordered day and night blinds in July 2020. They arrived a month later and turned out to be the wrong size, they went back in to be corrected and came back to me, again they were the wrong fitting.
Then I get told by the fitter that they are not designed for my windows as I have a square bay window. I asked for my money and was refused. They said they would correct them and they took them back again.
Third time they came to fit the blinds and this time they couldn’t get all the window blinds to sit correctly, one was higher than the other, the other was slanted and none of the patterns matched or were even level at the bottom.
Was told last two weeks that they would come out and fix the issue I’m still waiting.

8 days?! after placing the order this company sends an email asking for information as website error when we placed the order - asking for sizes etc and stating a now 40 working day delivery from today - so 8 days wasted as they have only just bothered to contact me and now an unacceptable 8 WEEK!! delivery time not the 28 DAYS they are advertising (still) on their website!!!..
We only bought from this company due to (falsely) advertised delivery times!!..
Cancelled our order & now waiting for a full refund but no reply to our email -now we want our money back!!
Will wait 24hrs then contacting trading standards!
** in response to your reply - if you KNOW you cannot fulfil the 28 days stated on your WEBSITE then you are falsely advertising your products- every company with a Covid delay has a statement on their website!!!..

Chains so short you can't reach them!
They sold me blinds (with a 235cm drop) with chains that are so short I can't reach them (and I'm 170cm tall) and then blamed it on 'legislation'. Apparently if you require longer chains that you can actually reach, you have to email them after placing your order to tell them so. However at no point during the ordering process are you made aware of this. The only place this information is made available is in a link to a "safety" page at the bottom of the page, however at no point are you directed to read this.

We have 2 large windows in our bedroom and whilst they provide great light, the bedroom can become very hot during sunny days.
After a couple of month of putting up with the heat, decided that it was time to invest in some windows blinds.
Delivered 6 days later. Very happy with the result as the blinds look great and have reduced the bedroom temperature in hot weather by 11 degrees C.

So much for 14 day delivery. Took 6 weeks To arrive, no communication, had to be chased twice. When the blind arrived the fixtures were bent. Flimsy fittings and every time we open or close it the damn thing falls off the wall. Never again
