Absolutely lovely experience with the photographer who made us feel so comfortable. We are definitely coming back when family gets bigger!!!

We had the most amazing bump to baby photoshoot with Niamh at the Fulham studio. From start to finish, she was so patient, calm, and genuinely lovely to work with. She made us feel completely at ease, which made such a difference—especially with a newborn!

Niamh took her time with everything and never made us feel rushed, creating such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. You can really tell how experienced and passionate she is about what she does. The whole experience felt really special, and we’ll cherish the memories (and photos!) forever.

Our viewing session with Kirsty was just as amazing. She was incredibly patient while we took our time fiddling around choosing different photos and designs, never rushing us and helping us feel confident in our choices. It made the whole process enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

We couldn’t recommend them enough!

I signed up to the baby club and received a free photoshoot experience with a free mini frame. The photoshoot was with Katie who is a baby whisperer! She was brilliant with our son and got the most beautiful shots, we came back a few days later for a family viewing with Cody who took us through the photos that Katie edited and put together into a movie and then took his time and went through the pictures so we could pick out our favourites.
I would have given 5 stars however it was just too expensive for us, in saying that they do offer payment plans for their specialist wall art and digital photos. They’re also breast feeding friendly and have baby changing facilities!
Staff: amazing staff, so accommodating, so kind, very knowledgeable and friendly. They also offer beverages upon arrival.
Location: inside of big Tesco in beeston.
Parking: Tesco, 3 hours however they will validate with your number plate if you go over.

I received a voucher for a complimentary photoshoot and photo through an expectant mother promotion. Having used Venture previously, I was aware that these promotions are often used to introduce customers to their services, with the intention of upselling their higher-priced products.

The photoshoot itself was generally a positive experience. I attended with my two children (aged 5 months and 3 years), and the photographers were patient, friendly, and very good with them. In particular, they managed to bring our usually shy daughter out of her shell, which was lovely to see. However, although we were clear from the outset that we only wanted photos of the children, we felt somewhat pressured into having family and couple photos taken for their “portfolio.”

Before attending, I had researched their pricing structure and set a clear budget. Unfortunately, when we viewed the photos, we were quite disappointed. The images had been heavily edited to the point where our children didn’t look like themselves—their complexions and features appeared noticeably altered. It felt strange that while our daughter’s skin had been overly airbrushed, yet small things like drool on our baby’s clothes hadn’t been edited out, which we would have expected.

To be fair, the staff member did offer to ask the photographer to make adjustments. However, the extent of the editing had already put us off. We discussed our budget, and she mentioned some past offers that could be applied, bringing the cost to around £200 for two photos, or several hundred pounds more for digital copies. Ultimately, we didn’t feel the photos justified that level of expense and decided to stick with the single image included in the offer.

After making this decision, the atmosphere noticeably changed. The previously warm and chatty interaction from the staff member became quite minimal and cold , which left us feeling that the level of service was dependent on how much we were willing to spend.

We were advised that our order would arrive within 6–8 weeks, but it actually took 11 weeks and required chasing. Additionally, my £25 deposit was not automatically refunded and also had to be followed up, arriving some weeks later.

Overall, I found the experience to feel somewhat disingenuous unless you are prepared to spend a significant amount of money, and unfortunately, the final product did not meet our expectations in terms of quality.

Hi it’s Shamala me and my family had a fabulous experience at the photo shoot at venture studio,i had signed up on the bumptobaby app where i was offered the E-voucher thats how we heard about Venture studios and glad we did! Evelyn our photographer was absolutely great with my daughter’s, my toddler is usually clingy with her dad but seemed like she was very happy to see Evelyn, playing around her and giving smiles, Evelyn was very welcoming made us comfortable while we did the shoot,we all loved our photoshoot experience as it was our first time as a family, that’s why i got pretty white dresses for my daughters, then me and my husband came for the cinematic viewing was so overwhelming and emotional seeing the video shown and the photos, we loved it all, Beth was very nice explained to us all the packages they offer. We were not planning to buy the frames but after viewing our photos especially our daughters we couldn’t resist that we purchased the family sharing package and do not regret at all, Can’t wait for our three frames that we have chosen, the price is on the higher side but if you can afford it would definitely recommend as you have the pay monthly options and also can pay over a certain time if you can’t pay within the 6/12 months thank you for making our experience memorable venture studios.

Misleading “Competition Win” – Hidden Costs and Disappointing Experience

I recently had an experience with Venture Studios that I feel others should be aware of before engaging with their “competitions.”
On 28th February 2026, I was contacted to say I had “won” a cake smash photoshoot via their social media. Naturally, I was excited as this was for my granddaughter’s first birthday. However, during the booking call, I was asked to pay £25 to “secure the date.” This immediately felt misleading—if something is truly a prize, why is payment required? I was told this was standard and that I would receive a photo in return, so I reluctantly agreed.
After booking, additional costs started to appear. I was told there would be a £15 charge for the cake (which I declined by providing my own). Then, just before the shoot, I was informed I would need to bring my own props (banners, toys, etc.), which was completely unexpected and added unnecessary stress. This is not what you would expect from a professional studio experience.
While the staff on the day were polite and welcoming, the biggest shock came afterwards—photo packages start from £995. This was never disclosed beforehand. Advertising something as a “win” only to present customers with extremely high-priced packages feels very misleading and unfair.
Other key points to be aware of:
You have to return on another day just to view the photos
The “free” photo is essentially covered by the £25 booking fee
There is no clear upfront pricing shared before attending
After researching, similar cake smash photoshoots are typically around £300 and often include images, which makes this pricing feel hugely disproportionate.
I am now in the difficult position of having attended a shoot for a special milestone, but realistically being unable to afford the photos. What should have been a lovely experience has been completely overshadowed by unexpected costs and lack of transparency.
Overall, this felt like a misleading marketing tactic rather than a genuine competition win. I would strongly advise others to ask for full pricing and details upfront before committing.

Excellent customer service. My daughter and I had a great time during the photoshoot and Jas was great during the photo viewing session. She was very helpful in terms of helping find the best most valuable option and the best framed products for our space. Highly recommend. Thanks.

Won a pet photoshoot for myself and my golden retriever Bonnie. Lois was our photographer and made us feel at ease with the initial phone calls to find out a little bit more about us to make the session perfect. The shoot itself was great fun - Bonnie was a natural and Lois was so good with her.
We had the viewing a few days later with Ricky who was very patient and informative. He gave us all the time we needed and went through everything clearly, and his experience and help was invaluable. Would highly recommend!

We had Ben do our newborn photo shoot and we couldn’t have felt more at ease, he was understanding, patient and so friendly. Ben was very professional but it also felt like we have known him for years. He is a credit to your company.

We had a lovely photo shoot with my family a few weeks back on Mother’s Day. I really don’t like my pictures being taken, especially by a stranger but Holly was so lovely and made me feel really comfortable. She was amazing with our daughter and we got some really amazing pictures. Holly is a very good photographer and I would definitely recommend anyone to go here to have any pictures done by her. The lady that also done the photo viewing session was also very nice and welcoming.

Our photographer Ella was amazing and really brought our vision to life of what we were looking for with our newborn shoot. She managed to capture the little details we were hoping for in a style that suited us perfectly. She was also very patient with our little one who needed some extra love at times and we felt understood rather than rushed. Such an amazing result overall and we are extremely happy.

Emma did our bump to baby photoshoot and she was absolutely incredible. She took so much time and effort into capturing the best memories for us and made our whole experience lovely. Our photos turned out just beautiful. Thank you to Juliette also who helped us choose the best prints for us and was so lovely.

Our photos were over 20 years old and were faded and yellow. Just on the off-chance I contacted Venture and was surprised and delighted to find they still had digital copies from our photo session in 2003. Milton was super helpful and re-framed them for us. A fantastic service, thanks Venture!

Had a photoshoot with my wife and grand daughter. We were greeted by Lois very warmly and exemplary service.

When it comes to the photoshoot, we were welcomed and spoken to by a very positively energetic young man called Dom (Dominic) his direction and quality of work was amazing, made me and my wife feel at ease, considering it was our first shoot since getting marrried!

He was spectacular at guiding/directing my bundle of energy granddaughter and managed to capture out of this world shots. We were spoilt for choice when it came to the viewing session. We ended up buying all of our pictures because we couldn’t narrow down Doms work!

We were made to feel so welcome. Our photographer Hannah made our time very enjoyable and special. We were blown away by the pictures Hannah had taken. Cannot fault the 5* service by Loiuse, Hannah and Venture Photography studio Liverpool.

Great experience - we loved the photoshoot and we got a better time out of it due to the prep work beforehand. The photo viewing was great as well. Big thank you to Beth and Ellie for our time!

My wife and I won a free pet photoshoot through social media and while we ended up spending a fair amount on the final product, we couldn't be happier with the results!
Everyone at the studio was really friendly, welcoming and professional and made sure the whole process was smooth and enjoyable for us and our dog Dylan, namely our photographer Jordan and Coby who did our viewing.
There's definitely an element of upselling from the voucher to final product but it wasn't overly pushy and the end cost, while not cheap, is worth the studio's time and quality in our opinion.

Niamh made us feel so comfortable and managed to get some amazing photos of our little family (myself, my partner and our cat), which was no mean feat! She took time to understand the brief and hit it exactly. Eliza then walked us through the show and our options and we don’t feel pressured at any point but guided into what would work best for us. I would really recommend the team here!

What started off as a great experience quickly turned into a very ugly one due to the lack of customer care and understanding to facilitate.

I had clearly explained in advance that I had time constraints due to work and childcare and was travelling from Essex, yet this was repeatedly dismissed. I don't drive and my partner had a hectic schedule. So he wasn't able to take us. Traveling with a buggy on the train isn't easy as some stations don't have lifts. They was not willing to compromise or meet me in the middle. Attending the in-person viewing during the Easter holidays, while my daughter was at gymnastics camp, already felt stressful.

When i arrived i explained my concerns and was met with " its always good to express and say whats on your mind' only to then jump straight into upselling about payment plans and frames. Felt like i was being gas lit. I was so taken back by this. They do not care about you, they are only concerned with what you're going to spend. Its pushy and overwhelming.

During the appointment, despite explaining I needed to leave on time, I felt pressured into making purchases, particularly around frames. This was especially frustrating as I had entered a competition which included a free image and no obligation to purchase more. My 1yr old son was also unwell with the flu which i had also communicated over the phone. When we arrived, during the viewing he became distressed and kept crying, during this again upselling was the main factor.

I was unable to purchase an additional photo without buying a frame with it, which felt unfair and forced extra costs.

Due to the delays even after explaining that i have to leave to pick up my daughter. Once again, dismissed and upselling started all over again. I couldn't believe the lack of people skills that was displayed. This made me uncomfortable, they was not concerned about anything i had to say just if i was going to pay for more images with frames. As a result I was late collecting my daughter and received a late fee. Getting back home was a nightmare it took me 2 hours due to train lifts breaking down. i had to travel all around london to get back home with a unwell baby. I couldn't get an uber because they don't have a baby car seat.

Overall, the experience felt focused on upselling rather than genuine experience along with customer care, which was very disheartening coming from a company like this.

I had sent them an email raising my concerns again. Im YET to hear back from them.

We really enjoyed our photoshoot , despite having a grumpy baby on the day, Hannah managed to get some lovely shots! Going to see the pictures and the movie was fab and we were really impressed. The packages are expensive but reflect the time, effort and care and definitely worth it. Thanks to Hannah and Jo for a great experience x
