BIP Credit Card: A Masterclass in Incompetence
Ah, BIP Credit Card, where efficiency goes to die. Closed the account in January 2024, settled it in September 2024, and yet here we are—2025—with this gem of financial wizardry still listed as “open” on Experian.
You’d think reporting accurate data to credit agencies would be a basic expectation, but no, BIP seems to operate on a “we’ll get around to it… someday… maybe” approach. Are they too busy snacking on Dime Bars to manage something as trivial as correctly closing an account?
The best part? Even after being informed (twice!) about their mistake, they’ve stuck to their guns, proudly flaunting their ability to ignore reality. It’s almost as if they’re competing for the “Most Useless Credit Provider of the Year” award. Spoiler alert: They’ve won.
But fear not, 2025 will see the Financial Ombudsman swooping in to save the day, because clearly, BIP needs a grown-up to teach them how to do their job. Bravo, BIP. Bravo. Customer service excellence at its finest.

Informed them my mother had died
Informed them my mother had died, as her carer this meant I had lost £350pm income. Informed them of this and that I wanted my account frozen and a payment plan put in place. They were less than useless, only interested in gaining more interest charges. Did not care I’d watched my mother die a week previously. Did not care I have a funeral to pay for next month. Useless company. Didn’t even do an income and expenditure form to determine if I could afford repayments, made assumptions. I will now have to go to stepchange to set up repayments and this is the poor review I promised them.

Been using Bip for 2 years now and it’s been fine. Any issues I have I contact via message and they’ve helped me. They’ve added money and balance transfer options and you can also check your credit score with the app. Only thing is the arp is quite high.

Great little cardess credit card connected to Google wallet so always have a way to pay just incase you forget your wallet, Had it for over a year with no problems. I would recommend this

Simple straightforward card. Works brilliantly.
Only downside if you consider it one is that you do not get an actual card.
It is all done via your phone.

Stay Away from Bip.Credit – Pathetic Service!
Bip.Credit is a joke. They offered me an *approved* credit card in the pre-eligibility check, and of course, I applied, thinking it was legit. Guess what? They declined me after the application! Complete waste of time.
To make matters worse, they tanked my credit score in the process! Bip clearly doesn’t care about their customers and handles things recklessly. They’ll lead you on with fake approvals and then mess up your credit without a second thought.
Seriously, don’t trust this company – they’re unethical, and using them will only hurt you in the long run.
