Staff on the phone were ill informed and not helpful. On arrival to try a car, kept waiting before sales person came to deal with us. Car viewed was in a poor condition, dirty, very scratched, trims falling off, scuffs everywhere. Left to look at the car by the salesperson, not informed he would need to come on test drive and we were driving around the yard with no assistance. Eventually he came out, was rude and abrupt, went on a short test drive. Car was not good.
We had driven an hour to see the car. Should have advertised it was not in good condition, as would not have driven all that way. Don't understand why a company would not prep a car ready to sell. Instead, was told it would go in the workshop for detailing, polishing, valeting etc. This car had been on the website for weeks, it was not a new arrival.
Big motoring world should advertise the condition of the car on thier adverts so customers can make a better choice whether they view a car.

We bought a car on 16/04/26 at Peterborough branch. Kajus helped us from the start, explaining and answering all our questions while giving us advice as well. Thanks to him we get to have a really nice car😁 and lastly, Cameron, who handled all the handover was very quick and make it easy for us. Thanks Kajus and Cameron and the whole team.

I went in to buy a car.One which my wife had chose online.I booked a test drive. But was told i had to sit down and listen to finance options,i told her i was a cash buyer,but said she had to tell me the finance options even if i di not want to. Also the car came with a 3 month warranty,but only covered the engine and gear box,up to £400. And if i wanted extra cover ,it would be with Ford and they would be the ones to carry out any maintenance. So if i drove the car of the forecourt and the wheels fell off tuff. So i went to Ford.

Our second experience using Big Motoring World. There will undoubtedly be a third. We were assisted on this occasion by Jake and Ateeq. The service we received was attentive and informative. We explained what we were looking for, in terms of what would suit our needs best and what we didn’t really want to compromise on. We were then prompted in what to consider and where to start our search. The vehicles being ‘grouped’ in areas within the branch is extremely helpful. Although we had quite quickly decided on the make/model vehicle we wanted, Ateeq kindly assisted in letting us look at all options in the available range on site before deciding. Jake then went above and beyond to ensure we had a great deal on our chosen vehicle, as well as a great trade in price. The extra warranty and tyre and alloy cover was greatly appreciated. Happy customers once again!

The people were all nice, helpful and efficient, big selection of cars and good prices. Some people might not like the promotion of finance and add-ons but that is just the business, it doesn't bother me.

Went twice to get finance. Lost my d license there in all the confusion. And didn’t get excepted after I was told I was excepted. Apart from that was great

Daniel was fantastic he took the time to really listen to our needs and was excellent at problem-solving to help us find the perfect car. I didn't feel pressured at all. He truly went above and beyond, and I believe he is a fantastic asset to your team. You are very lucky to have him!

Cameron was equally impressive during the after-sales process. He handled everything efficiently, assisting us with insurance, road tax, and arranging the part exchange seamlessly. He was extremely friendly and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.

The person I spoke to was very helpful and explained things thoroughly and I went ahead and booked an appointment to view a car.

When we arrived with he kids we were left waiting 45 minutes after our initial booking slot. The test drive was nice and we decided to buy the car. We reserved it online the next day. The following day we had a call from the salesman saying that it will be ready when we arrive the following day to collect, however when we went to collect the car was still in the storage yard, not clean and had people looking around it. Once the salesman eventually got round to us, he sat us down and told us to get a coffee whilst he got his pieces of paper ready. We went to the refreshments desk and was met by an extremely rude lady who said 'cant you see that it's not working?' when we asked for a coffee. This at the time should have been out 1st red flag. The salesman then showed us all the care packages etc and after we declined them he sat us down to talk about warranty. This was a high pressure sales technique. At first he tried to sell me it as a day cost, ie £3 a day, after I explained we don't pay for anything per day he eventually told us the total cost was over £2k for a 3 year warranty. Each time he haggled a different option he would go and check with his manager which took him 10 mins each time. We eventually settled on a 1 year warranty and he offered a 9% discount. At this point he explained the big motor world warranty only covers £500 worth of repairs and isn't worth the paper it's printed on (not the best thing for them to confess!)
Once we signed off on the car we went upstairs for handover when we were then informed that it was infact a mobility car and we can not tax it online and that we had to go find the nearest post office to unregister the vehicle as being disabled. This was meant to be told to us pre purchase but it was not. I spoke to a manager as I was upset about not being told and he said sorry but that was about it.

On the whole, lovely car but shocking sales division, will never go back and I will be telling friends and family the same.

Happy with the car, and the price, but the service was fairly lacklustre. Minimal test drive which was only down to a local roundabout and back. Salesman went through the painfully obvious sales techniques, pushed the extended warranty and other overpriced extras. I got to see the manager once I turned them down for a second round of attempted convincing.

After finally getting through to actually paying for the car, it took another 35 minutes to actually get my keys and do the final handover with staff member number 4 or 5 (I lost count).

At that point, I was just glad to be out of there. The car, that supposedly had been “valeted and detailed” during my extended waiting around was still pretty dirty inside and out.

The main plus point here is that I couldn’t find a make and model in that condition for the same price. If you want to avoid main dealer prices, Big Motoring World is fine. Just don’t expect the experience to be anything other than tedious and comically dated. It’d be so nice if, for once, a car supermarket could actually exceed expectations.

I was about to buy a 5 year old electric car but had to withdraw from the purchase as they told me they were unable to give me the details of the current state of the battery. This is, of course, very important on any EV, particularly a 5 year old one. The battery should have been between 90 and 95% - but only to be told it would be 80% or higher just wasn’t good enough - and then to be told they couldn’t charge it more than 50% on day of pick up- when I would have had a fairly long journey home was the final straw. It’s not like a petrol or diesel car where you can go to a garage and fill up quickly. I bought elsewhere.

I came in store today and was seen by Kieran he was an absolute pleasure so polite and helpful I couldn't recommend a better sales executive. Thank you so much again

Good selection of cars.
The car i purchased is great, I couldn't find a fault and it was very competivly priced.
I was disappointed that they didn't honour the online valuation and offered me the trade in value of a poor condition car even though the car was in great condition and very low mileage, I did manage to bump up the value with some haggling.
I was a little confused being passed on to different departments at every step.
I felt pressured into taking add ons and had to decline several times.
I paid the balance cash and got the feeling that the staff were unhappy (probably lack of comission)
After purchasing the car it then became apparent that the car could not be taxed online, I was given the address of a local post office and told I would have to sort this myself.
Overall very happy with the car but the process was stressful

Was really helpful with the looking around the cars and helping decide what I wanted there was a lot of waiting round and trying to get ahold of the after sales team is abit of a nightmare. Apart from that the team are extremely helpful and accommodating

Awful salesman. Liked the car but refuse to buy from the salesman who knew nothing additional about the vehicle and wasn’t willing to try and help. Just wanted the sale.

Polite staff. Very professional and helpful. Ensured the process went smoothly
