Very likely a scam store. No items delivered after months, and they do not respond to emails.

I purchased some market boots back late April, received in good time although in a completely battered box. I decided to send back for an exchange for a smaller size! I returned over the may bank holiday so gave plenty of time before chasing up, tracked delivery (at cost to me) showed boots had been received and signed for. Asked about exchange and told return hadn't been received. I send proof of sending and signature of delivery. Then told yes have been received but not by them!
I was told they would raise a dispute with royal mail. Over time I have politely questioned that this is between back alley and royal mail and I am the one out of pocket and with no boots! Since then no answer to emails, no number to contact..... ! Shocking experience!

So made an order for some boots on the 15th of July. It clearly states dispatched in 2-4 working days.
We are now in August, all emails sent have not been responded to, no way of cancelling my order and the best I can get in information is via the Shop app, which tells me package is being prepared for dispatch.

I’d be quite happy if I got an update email explaining the delay, but at this point I’m feeling robbed and have no expectation of my order ever turning up.

Shall update review should anything improve or change…

Scam store just lost £41 not happy all positive reviews are from overseas. update I managed to get a chargeback from my bank.
THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS BEWARE.

Placed an order for an item, waited and waited for delivery details, in end had to contact them to be told they werent sure the size was in stock ?!? Again no contact from them, i asked for refund and they said that was paid , around a month later and no refund yet !! Stay away from these Guys .. mickey mouse operation

Faulty item. Initially replied within a day however now no contact. Was told that I was getting a refund which was now 3 months ago. They are still sending me offers via email but won’t reply to me despite sending in total 11 emails. Dreadful customer service, not how to treat customers.

Payed for my items over a week ago .No shipping info no reply to my emails verry poor store dont buy anything from them scammers no refund offered

Ordered shoes on 4 June . No delivery yet. Numerous emails asking for refund but no action 6 weeks later .

Ordered bag sent tracking that didn't work. They then sent royal mail tracking which stated item hadn't been dispatched to royal mail and there expecting it it stayed like that no movement. Emailed for a refund
nothing back yet ie money. Looked up on scam tracker its a very high risk and the company house is in the prosess of striking of.
|Up date filed police report as this site is a scam don't be fooled fake reviews and more.

Ordered 3 items over 6 weeks ago, one item not delivered (told was out of stock). Contacted store by email, was told refund had been sent but never was. Currently £80 out of pocket, no further replies to multiple emails and no other means of contacting them. Ominously similar to other reviews. Am having to go through small claims court - unacceptable customer experience.

Back Alley Army Store Ltd has been issued with a first notice for compulsory strike-off due to accounts not filed (due on 10 May 2025.)

This may be a scam store. Ordered something online for delivery nearly 2 months ago. Nothing materialised, get no response when trying to contact to follow up. Would be careful

I placed an order with them on the 17 of June and I'm still waiting for it to turn up. Since it's been so long and according to royal mail it hasn't been sent to them I've asked for a refund but I'm being ignored. Avoid.

I ordered a Deerhunter waistcoat which was delivered promptly. I returned this and requested an exchange and have never received the item despite being advised by James, via email on 29.5.25, that it had been posted the day before. I have since sent two emails and two messages on Messenger and been totally ignored. Very poor customer service :(

Requested a refund for two items which were unsuitable..followed all of their due process, sent them by recorded post at my own expense, provided all proofs etc..also sent them two emails to follow up, and three weeks later still no response! Impossible to phone or connect with a human there to resolve...non-existent customer service, avoid!

I got a shoes for my husband but the size didn’t match and returned the shoes within the time frame . I paid for the delivery to return so it’s extra £6 something for tracking number. Royal Mail tracking says handed to the address. It’s been a more than a month I haven’t received any response either my refund. I email them So many times but no response. There is no contact number where I can contact them just an email which they never responded. Very disappointing. Never gonna buy anything from online store only .

I ordered some boots from here nearly 4 weeks ago. I emailed them several times to ask when they are going to be dispatched. Eventually i got a reply saying they were dispatched a day after i purchased them and the tracking number is now not working. James said he will get in contact with royal mail. This was a couple of days ago, i have since sent 2 emails asking for an update and 1 email asking for a refund. They are unresponsive. I have had no confirmation email that my order was shipped and no tracking numbers. I do not believe they have shipped my goods. Stay away from Back Alley Army Store

Absolutely 💩 company, ordered 5 weeks ago and items never arrived constantly emailing for refund… James seems to be the only person working and replying to everyone!! Still chasing over £70 refund. The customer service is pathetic and so is the company. Avoid at all cost!!!!

Ordered 3 shirts 2 1/2 weeks ago. Nothing has arrived, and there is no response to 2 emails I have sent. I can only assume they are a scam company at this point unless they communicate. They do not publish a telephone number, which is worrying. I have given them 5 working days to respond or remedy this, at which point, I will inform my credit card company that it is fraud.

By the looks this whole backwardsarmystore got a big problem with sending footwear on time, outstandingly terrible customer service👍would not recommend ordering footwear.no good replying to this message as it won't make my boots appear. nice one backwardsarmystore
