Steer clear of this company.
Ordered boots, which the seam split on fourth time of wearing.
Customer service is shocking, cannot call anyone, can only email.
Returned for a refund, which eventually came, but trying to get back the cost to return the faulty Boots, but getting no response.

Yes I had a refund for the boots and initial postage charge, but not the cost to return the faulty boots, which was nearly £8, proof of postage supplied.

Funny how you are quick to respond to a review, but not to my emails.
I did initially email about your return policy, but had no response.
Found it on your website, that states postage must be paid, therefore paid to return them.
I do hope people read this to be warned of the service you provide.
Shame you weren't so responsive when I emailed, maybe get a phone line too.

Ordered a jacket that I immediately sent back for return, sent via Royal Mail Tracked so I know the jacket has arrived, a few emails exchanged with “Laura” and now no replies or refund. I’d avoid at all costs. Looking at their other reviews they talk about cancelling order because they were deemed to be “High Risk” but I’d say it’s the other way round, this company is high risk and would never deal with them again. Update - this issue has now been resolved after this review was posted. I’ve now received my refund but still will not be using this company again.

I ordered a pair of Hogg work boots, which were by far the cheapest on line, they did not arrive in the specified time, so we emailed the company, who replied instantly with apologies and assurance to chase up the Royal Mail, the boots arrived early the following day.

Still havent received my refund even though they say it has been refunded. No it is not my banks fault. I would like a refund since i have been waiting since december…

I ordered a backpack early in December as a Christmas gift.
The money was taken and the order accepted but no bag arrived.
After numerous attempts to contact back alley they eventually got back in January saying they were dealing with a back log of orders….
Fast forward to now, 24th February. Still no bag and no refund which I have asked for twice. Emails are not being answered.
Very disappointed and I will now have to recoup the money through my banks fraud team.

Unfortunately this is not a store I would buy from again unless absolutely necessary .

- ordered boots
- cancelled the order within 1 hour via email to an address provided at the bottom of confirmation email.
- 1 week later boots arrived
- emailed same email address with original email in copy and the company lady said that my email must have got lost in junk!
- she went on to say they have been operating for 10’yrs blah blah and that my consumer rights for a free return isn’t accepted
-it’s clear the email was sent but she refutes it
I asked to speak with their owner and named him by name , she said Monday (1 week ago)+- but still no joy!

Still waiting for my orders been over 1 week now. 2-4 days apparently.

Yesterday was told its on way to being delivered late. Now it's fraudulent so you've cancelled?

Ive bought two bags mine and one for friend at work. Now you take upon yourself to cancel. Wow a sh#t show. Send me the full refunds for both bags back.

very easy site great products and bargains lots of them, products I bought boots, long sleeve t-shirt sizes were spot on, definitely recommend Alley Army store.

Very good price took longer than stated but was still happy, fit lovely very comfortable only problem the inner sole keeps coming out, by the look it won’t last long will have to see about getting a new in sole.

I bought wellies for my son for Christmas, lovely product, easy purchase and quick delivery however the returns process has been disappointing!
James kindly agreed to my return although it exceeded the 30 days due to this being a Christmas present.
They were received by BAAS 15 Jan, and still no refund. I have emailed on 23 & 30 Jan and with no response at all nor refund. The refund process does not follow what they advertise.
Won’t be using again and will be seeking consumer advice on how to actually get my money back!

Ho acquistato per la prima volta su questo sito ma non lo farò mai più. La merce non è mai stata consegnata (acquisto del 03/01/2025 di €85,75). Mi hanno inviato un numero di tracciabilità il 9 gennaio 2025 ma ad oggi risulta inutile. Ho chiesto più volte spiegazioni tramite email ma fanno finta di non capire, risposte date a caso ma ad oggi non ho avuto ne la merce e ne un rimborso. Premetto che ho richiesto più volte di avere la merce e che non sono intenzionato ad avere il rimborso ma nonostante questo mi dicono che la merce sarà spedita. Ad oggi non ho nessuna notizia ne un codice di tracciabilità. Assolutamente da evitare negozi del genere!!! Ormai sono consapevole che non riceverò mai niente. Pessima esperienza! Aggiornerò la mia recensione solo se vedrò il corriere davanti casa...

I ordered a Highlander softshell jacket online on 31st Dec so no surprise that despatch took a while and to be fair, there was a notice that BAAS weren't back in business post-holidays until 6th Jan - when I did ask for an ETA, I got an immediate friendly response from James telling me it was all in hand.
Receipt by Royal Mail was 16th Jan with 24 Tracked delivery but it took 11 days for it to eventually turn up; in the meantime, responding to further queries, I had immediate apologies from James and a promise of a replacement to be sent as the original was considered lost.
BAAS are blameless for the delay and frustrating that the delay has been, I'd still far prefer delivery by RM than Evri, DPD etc.
Happily the jacket is great and fits perfectly, which is a relief as I'd lose the will to live if I'd have had to return it.
All in all, delighted with my purchase, very happy with the BAAS interaction but slightly bemused by RM's performance.

Excellent shop. The lads are sound out and as you can see they have a massive selection of stuff . Extremely friendly with great prices. Absolutely no problems with the lads at all and I'll definitely be buying more stuff from them.

I purchased a fleece hoodie recently from Back Alley , really warm & comfortable hoodie for cold weather work outdoors.

Goods never arrived got shipped.
No reply to several emails, having to chase for a refund via Credit Card Company.

Great- quality, style, and change of ammo print really good

I have had four orders from Back alley army store, over the past year. Two being fairly recent over the Christmas and new year period. Never again! Ordered 3 items on the 29th of December, and I received two items on the 11th of January. Spoke with James the same day about the missing item and have heard nothing since *(17th jan). I just want my 13.73 back and to forget about this company now. Buy at your own risk on this one. 1 star
