I haven’t really decided if this is good company or not my last monthly bill to xcel was late. I contacted Arcadia on it and told them I paid my bill to current and then Arcadia took out what I was supposed to pay for those two months now I have no idea where this $300 went.
They have not reached out in the three emails I have sent them.

Rude salesman, seems like a huge scam
Just had a salesman come to my house and he went through the entire process, then states I have to set up automatic payments to them, I refused because I don’t trust them yet, he walks away complaining quite loudly that I just wasted all of his time, if that’s how they treat prospective customers I hate to think of how you’re treated after you sign a contract, don’t do it.

Scam/ impossible to cancel
They have been overcharging my electric leading to a multi hundred negative balance with my provider. I’ve tried to cancel which apparently is a multi month process where they continue to overcharge me and add to the surplus sitting with my energy provider.

Great idea but they are a scam. You will not save money. After over a year, I was assigned a solar farm. Saved about one dollar and then they stopped service without
notice. They have no real customer service.

Horrible, do not do it. Terrible customer service and they do not outline fully their terms when you sign up. Charged 3 weeks early for the next month’s electric supply, a week after I had already paid for the current month. Called for refund and was offered $120 in gift cards if I stayed — was charged $160. Told customer service to deactivate my account and found out weeks later it was still active. They never even located a solar farm for me, just were a middle man third party electricity source. BEWARE.

Increases your energy expenses, and makes bills uneven
After my 3rd year of surprise bills that are 2 or 3 times the normal monthly bill, I have canceled. Absolutely horrible customer service that makes promises and doesn't follow up, and can't or won't explain things clearly. Rhode Island resident.

They cost me over $600 and it's not over yet - AWFUL
Wow I'm not sure how this company has good reviews? Probably paid and from friends and family? To do you all a favor I hope you research them before you sign up for their program because they cost me so fat over $600 and it takes MONTHS to cancel them. We installed solar panels last year and even though our Xcel bill is tiny because of the credits we have from our solar panels (which we owe btw) Arcadia is charging us full price of energy spent, meaning we are paying panels plus paying Arcadia for using our own produced energy. And it's been going like that for 10 months. I've been on email with them since January trying to get those credits back and to cancel Arcadia service without success.

Go onto the BBB and read all the complaints about how they fraudulently charge your account when you have told the door to door rep NO multiple times. Arcadia, how did you get my bank account information and take money from me without my authorization? How did you become a 3rd party billing with Ameren IP when again I did not authorize anything or sign up for anything?

Total ripoff
Total ripoff. They claim to save you 10% off your energy bill but due to scam billing practices- you pay 40% more. This is a scam company. DO NOT USE THEM

My utility bill went up significantly…
My utility bill went up significantly this winter. I assumed it was due to the season and global energy supply issues. Have Been using Arcadia for around 3 years. When reviewing my regular utility provider bills with the community credits, they at times would not match. Arcadia has no transparency into your personal account to understand the cost breakdowns clearly. It requires a call each time. This particular time they did admit there was an accounting error between systems on their part. Due to the lack of transparency, I have decided to cancel my account.

Watch for doubling of bills
The first few months of using Arcadia was fine. Then I suddenly was charged double what my utility usage was. I called for an explanation and got three different answers. First they said the utility made a mistake, then they said the solar field 'overproduced', then they said it was their mistake. Either way I had a $300 credit with the utility company that I can't get to and they can't tell me when I'll get that money back. For some reason Arcadia decided to give my utility a $300 interest-free loan from me and can't explain why. They do not disclose anywhere that this could happen. If you use them, when you get the email saying they're going to charge you, make sure to login to your utility account to se what you're about to be charged so you can stop them from charging extra fees.

Billing issues and horrible customer service
They didn’t charge me one month then double billed me the next month. The $5 credit they offered for this inconvenience isn’t enough to cover the late charges from my real energy company. Additionally, they told me it would take 90 days to cancel my account with them. This is a much longer time period than the 30 day cancellation they promised at sign up. Horrible company with horrible customer service.

I have been very happy with Arcadia but…
I have been very happy with Arcadia but my friends and I are ‘senior citizens’, and I’m sorry to say, many aren’t open to change.
A very mixed bag
The entertainment was excellent. The food was pitiful unless you pay extra for the special dining rooms. Christmas dinner was a joke. One potato, three hard sprouts ,a lump of something , two carrot slices and some dry turkey. A trifle which was inedible biscuits and dry cherries. Shameful.

Price was fair for almost 2 years. Then they raised bill by 50% and told me 6 months to cancel.

Not clear that Arcadia can actually supply solar power
Signed up for a solar farm in May of 2021. Here it is December of 2022 and they tell me again that I will be seeing savings "in a month or two", for probably the fifth time when I have complained. It is not clear to me that this is legitimate. I have filed a complaint with my state public utility commission.

Poor customer service and dishonest billing
Update: The company states they have sent a refund. I have as of 12/20 not received it. They initially stated it would be refunded to my original payment. When I inquired further after not receiving it, they are now stating they have sent it to the address I moved away from in September, which started this whole mess. They have not provided a tracking number. I continue to be disappointed in their poor communication and service. I still have yet to even discuss this with someone via phone as their billing service is unavailable by phone.
I had no issues with this company until I was switched to community Solar. Then my bills tripled and quadrupled. My electric bill did not. I ended up with a $1658.48 credit to my electric company National Grid. I called to cancel and was informed it would take 90 days. I was moving within this time frame and was assured that when I moved, the credit would be refunded to me and my Arcadia account closed. After closing my account, National grid sent the credit back to Arcadia because it was a Solar credit. (Understandably this was their mistake but they told me my solar company had to send me the money back) this was November 3. I contacted Arcadia that week and they told me they would escalate my case and get back to me. I contacted them again on 11/29 and they told me they were “still looking into it.”
I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and since that time the company has refused to respond to me. They still have my money and will not give me any updates on what the ongoing timeline is to return my money.
In addition, they overcharged my last bill by > $400. I was fortunately able to get that resolved through my credit card company.
This company has dishonest billing practices and incredibly poor customer service in regards to resolution of billing issues.
I would recommend extreme caution before signing up especially with solar.
