Oh boy, I had to deal with Ann Taylor customer service today for a size exchange and wish I had known what I was getting myself into. It took 2 hours! Don’t bother with chat—it takes a half hour for them to come on, then 10 minutes between each chat. I kept getting almost timed out. And then the agent just stopped talking. I noticed in my account that she had placed a new order for me in the wrong size. I was able to call and an agent was able to straighten it out. Hopefully my new size actually ships. But this was some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Their website is awful customer service is terrible I ordered two items weeks ago over the phone talking with a woman that could barely speak english never got an order confirmation tried three times to chat the wait time was so long I gave up tried sending emails the website would not let me send it. Never shopping with them again there is definitely something crazy going on with this company

I ordered a sweater from Ann Taylor and called their 800 to exchange it for a differnet size. Their online site states for an exchange to call and they will send a replacement with no shipping charge. The person I spoke to said he couldnt do an exchange and I had to place a new order and pay for shipping. I explained to him what their site stated about exchanges and he said it was wrong.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

What is wrong with this company? Trying to place an order online was like climbing Mt. Everest. Placed an order, had to cancel it. Called in so that the coupons could be re-used again. Great rep, but then when I called back, the notes they said they made on my account did not come through. The last rep kept muting me (to giggle with her friends in overseas?!), made me repeat information again... and again... , and it literally took 28 minutes to purchase 2 tops with only 1 of the 2 coupons I was told I would have. Worst customer experience ever, which is saying a lot in this day and age.

I placed an order over $1,000 for clothes I expected to be decent quality. Two items were missing from the order when it arrived and what did arrive was too big (I measured extensively according to their measurements before finalizing the sizes). The quality is laughably awful and cheap all around. Shein would be better quality. When I reached out through their website for a return label for everything, the order would not pull up in the system so I texted customer service as recommended. I was sent in an endless cycle of sending the exact same text with the exact same very clear information to not one, not two, but four different customer service representatives, including screenshots of each interaction at the end to show how ridiculous their gaslighting was. I've never witnessed a company put someone through this much rigamarole.

Ann Taylor is a cheap scam. I will try to drop off the order for a refund at one of their stores, but I don't have high hopes. Stay away from this predatory company with absolutely no regard for its customers.

My daughter purchased a $200 gift card for me for Ann Taylor/Loft for my birthday last year. It was mailed to me directly from Ann Taylor, a paper card packaged very nicely. When I tried to place an online order using it, I couldn't because some of the numbers hadn't printed onto the paper card. That should have been an easy fix with a phone call.

Unfortunately they have the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. The first person I spoke with said it was no problem, that she would get a new gift card out in the mail. After a few weeks and no gift card, I called back. The rep had no idea what I was talking about, there were no notes. She was (supposedly) going to send my request to the department that handles those issues. As an aside, all of the representatives that I spoke with were extremely difficult to understand.

After not hearing anything for a couple of weeks I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor, which apparently cannot be done.

After calling a couple of more times, I sent an email. Several weeks later I got an email asking if the email address that they were using was the best address to send my gift card. I replied that it was perfect. I sent two follow up emails after hearing nothing for a few weeks.

I finally told my daughter to dispute the charge on her credit card, which she recently did.

In addition to the non-existent "service" from their "customer service" department, their clothing styles and quality have gone down over the past several years.

I finally sent an email expressing my frustration and disappointment at the extremely poor service that I received, how after all that time and aggravation my issue was still not resolved. I assured them that I would never shop at Ann Taylor/Loft again. I never heard back. I'm not surprised.

DON'T SHOP HERE. They consistently cancel orders without notice or provocation WEEKS after they're placed. So you're waiting for your dress, you stop looking and 3 days before you need it they tell you it's CANCELLED. Not an apology. Not a reason. Not a goodwill gesture. Not an intelligible, oxymoronic 'customer service' phone answerer to get you to a supervisor. Too many better options, including Amazon which believe it or not has better customer service and is more reliable.

I returned over $1,000 worth of merchandise via UPS and have received a credit for one of the items. I have called multiple times with no resolution, only empty promises for a supervisor to return my call. I will NEVER purchase anything from Ann Taylor again.

Horrible customer service. I received an item I ordered online and wanted to exchange it for a different size. I bought it at 50% off and it is now full price again. I called a store to see if they had it in stock and they didn’t carry that item. They said that I could come in and return the item and they could order for me online and match the price. The whole process was a waste of time. I travel 40 min to the nearest store and the cashier had trouble finding the pants online and told me there were none. I had to pull them up online on my phone, go through my emails for the order number and find the receipt proving how much I paid. If AT providing packing slips all that info would be there. After all of that I was told I had to pay for them again. I don’t know why I have to pay for them yet again when she said I could exchange them. The whole point for coming to the store was to be able to not pay for them again. If I wanted to pay again, I could’ve done this via mail. What a colossal waste of my time. When I spoke to this same person on the phone an hour before, she should’ve clearly explained that. Their clothes are overpriced — I only buy things on sale. They have very few things that suit my taste. I will not shop at AT anymore. They make things 10x harder than they need to be. And the quality is not that great. Stay away!

Stepped into AT hoping to find an outfit for my daughter’s new internship. What we found was a GEM named Marg! Marge knows how clothing should fit, is fully aware of the store assortment, and offered great advice. The store was immaculate, perfectly sized, and the associates all seemed to work as one team. Marg completed our transaction with items from instore and online and even convinced me to apply for an AT cc. Listen up Ann Taylor, if you want to know how to get customers off their computers and back into your brick and mortar stores watch what Marg does and replicate. I’ll be driving back to you Brea store because of the service I received today. Thank you Marg for reminding me what customer service really looks like.

Just getting my orders shipped has been a challenge. Their online service is ridiculous. I sat in a chat Q for more than 20 minutes waiting for someone to join. They still have not joined so now I’m sharing my reviews of what’s going on. Don’t bother their products. Shop somewhere else with reliable shipping and delivery of your orders as well as reliable customer service. At their prices, they should be able to provide both. It’s not like we’re paying discount prices.

I ordered a gold metallic belt. They sent a really ugly tan belt. Ugly. No metallic. I emailed. I got on chat and waited over an hour/same on the phone. And, I ordered pants (too small) and sweater (too big). I exchanged. They immediately charged for the exchange as I wait and wait for my refund of returned pants and sweater. Sent FOUR emails with ups proof of delivery. No response whatsoever. I disputed both the charge for the ugly belt and the charge for the exchange. First and last time I purchase from this horrible company

If I could leave a zero I would. The product quality is great but unfortunately one of my items was large so I wanted to exchange for a smaller size. The instructions say to call or chat. I tried both and on hold over an hour each method. I tried the following day and again over an hour in chat and phone without an answer. Finally I asked for a call back so I didn’t have to be on hold. 2 hours later someone called me back and then said I had to pay 10 dollars to return it or I had to drive it to a brick and mortar store. Well it is about an hour and half away. There is only an outlet close by and they will not accept returns except for outlet stores. Finally they agreed to way the return cost but then charged be for shipping for the item I want to exchange. I have been back and forth for 2 days with customer service via text and they keep saying I am not charged shipping but I clearly have the receipt where is stated 8.95 for shipping and I can do math. The cost of the shirt is 38.75. 6%taxes and yet my bill is for over 50 dollars. I could not be more angry about the lies saying they are not charging shipping when they are. I have 4 days going back and forth over one simple exchange. I did not have to pay shipping the first time because I spent so much and shipping for an exchange. They do not have to worry about me ever buying anything from them again. Buyer beware.

I wish I had read these reviews. Oh I wish. First order was lost in transit, but the company would do nothing
until 11 days had passed. Said they would send a new one, but it too has been in PROCESSING for 10 days. Can’t reach a soul. Never will I order from them again,

I’ve had an excellent experience with Ann Taylor. Their team is always helpful and willing to assist with anything I need. The quality of the garments and materials is consistently excellent, and I really appreciate their timeless style. As someone who wears petite sizes, I find the fit to be especially well done and flattering. Overall, it’s a brand I can rely on for both quality and consistency.

I have never received more terrible service from a national retailer than I have from Ann Taylor over multiple interactions. I contacted the company using its chat feature. No one ever replied. I then contacted them through their text service and got ZERO response. I finally called the 1-800 number and got some help. We worked on an exchange for size. I got an email afterward saying the new order would arrive on Sunday. It never arrived. So on Wednesday I called. After almost an hour, the agent said there was an issue with the order and it never shipped. No one EVER notified me that there was an issue. I then re-placed the order, this time with overnight shipping. I looked that evening and I never got the email they said I would receive telling me that it shipped. My daughter had her heart set on this item, otherwise I would have given up. It was for her first event that requires business attire. I ordered it again online Wednesday night online for the THIRD time and with overnight shipping. Here it is Thursday night and NEITHER order has shipped! This is an emergency. I must have this outfit immediately. It has now been two weeks since I placed the first order. I cannot believe this horrible service for such an expensive purchase. I called customer service this evening and was on hold for 30 minutes before an agent answered. She said she escalated my call to a manager. I waited about 30 minutes for the manager to join the call. At 8:50PM, the agent said she needed to let me go so I could accept her manager's call because he was calling me "right now." Guess what - NO PHONE CALL. And of course the phone line closed at 9PM in my time zone. I receive better service from Walmart and Amazon than I have for this expensive purchase from Ann Taylor. I am absolutely disgusted with this entire experience. I had to take my lunch break to go an scramble to find something my daughter could wear for her presentation and race home to steam it out so she could feel confident in her attire. She was supposed to wear the same outfit on a school trip. She was so excited to have this outfit and wear for her presentation and school trip, and this experienece has absolutely marred the experience for both of us. For a company that touts female empowerment, they have absolutely ruined our experience. We will never shop at any of their brands including Loft again.

I ordered several items from Ann Taylor that were on sale. Out of an order of 5 items I only received one. I waited a couple of weeks just figuring they were on the way but then I figured I'd better check. Once I got someone on the chat they eventually emailed me and informed me that 4 of the items had been cancelled. If I hadn't contacted them who knows when they would have/if at all, let me know. I tried to call them to find out when the charge to my bank account would be adjusted to reflect the cancellation of my items but the connection on the phone was so poor I literally couldn't make out what she was saying. I tried calling again and hit the '1' button for a call back but guess what. It didn't work. Bottom line is the clothing I did receive was good quality but their customer service must employ one, overworked employee! Terrible.

I wanted to exchange for a diffefent size. They have no way to handle this. They have 3 forms to get to customer service which is no help. I took a break from them last time because of customer service. This will be permanent.

It is almost impossible to get a hold of customer service. I left my callback number and they got back to me right before their close time. Missed the call, called back and they were closed. Sent an email and received no response

Horrible customer service support. The order got lost in transit. Unable to contact them to request a refund. Chat non responsive, customer service email non responsive. Calls stuck in line for hours no response.... The worst experience ever which is a pity because I do like their clothes but with such support not sure I'll ever be buying from them again. Status: Still waiting for a response to my email.... still no refund....
