I was trying to order a particular hand soap that was becoming very rare...and I was beginning to think it no longer existed in my preferred 'flavour'. Sadly, I was right 😭. Then - happily - a lovely man called me from this company and recommended an alternative perfume 🙂 and this soap arrived promptly and well packaged not many days later. I am still disappointed that my favourite soap is now extinct 😞 ..but I was very impressed with the service from this wonderful company and I would most happily order from them again. The End.

Genuinely lovely people to deal with, either in the shop or on the phone. The goods are always fantastic, making me an Anna Davies addict! The latest purchase is a sheep stool and it is beautiful! Looking forward to my next shop.

Was well displayed and was what I was looking for

Disappointing experience. Purchased a bag, when it arrived I decided the colour wasn't quite right, and let them know I would be returning it. Their policy (at the time) stated that original postage fee would not be refunded, which is against the law. I pointed this out to them, with a link to the regulations, stating I expected a full refund. I wasn't rude, just pointed out those are the rules.
The reply was very unprofessional. A moan about how they can't afford to refund postage fees, they're a small business, customers just shop around for a discount etc. Well, I paid the return postage fee, so I was out of pocket too, and simply changed my mind.
If you want to sell online in the UK in 2025, then you have to abide by the rules. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can try and get out of it and be rude to customers who point it out - if it's unfair then stop selling online. Just because it costs you money doesn't mean you're above the law, which they seemed to think they were.
I see they've now changed their Ts and Cs to charge a "processing fee" of £5.99, which also seems to be illegal from what I've found online - (No other deductions, such as cancellation or restocking fees, can be made when a consumer exercises their legal right to cancel).

For anyone interested, the full email I received back from them is:
"Hello
Thank you for your email, and your information, on-line is a small part of our business and have had to embrace the digital age, however we are not the amazon of this world and can not afford to waste money on people expecting us to refund postage that costs us more than we are charging, If people choose to purchase on line because they can use a discount code to save them money but at the same time putting small independent business out of pocket then they will not be here in the future for you to use at competitive pricing.
Please ensure that you use a tracked service and a refund will be given on receipt of the goods being received as sold, we normally do it on day of receipt, however it may take up to 28 days if we follow the law."

Note the final line - suggesting they'll sit on my refund to "follow the law" - the law doesn't say you have to wait 28 days, so it's just very petty, and you shouldn't be in business if you think this is an acceptable way to behave. They did ultimately refund very quickly, but this veiled "threat" of delaying it was just ridiculous.

Swift dispatch, good communication and good to deal with an independent company.

Very speedy and efficient delivery

We always stop at Anna Davies on our way to Criccieth and can only say from experience the staff are wonderful so friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to assist in any way they can, we never leave there without buying something!
Yesterday I found a gorgeous ladies jacket they had in stock online but wasn’t sure about the sizing, I phoned the shop and the lady I spoke to got another member of staff to try it on and give me an idea of the fit! How helpful is that… I ordered the jacket on the easy to use website and had super fast delivery by the next day!

Item was just as hoped for, a lovely sheep footstool. The delivery company didn’t deliver on the day they said they were going to but we got it after changing safe place to leave it. However don’t feel this was the fault of Anna Davies
