Almost 3 hours late arriving in Ancona…
Almost 3 hours late arriving in Ancona from Patras. No explanation, no excuses. Got thrown out of my lux cabin 3 hours (!) before arrival. Bathrooms outside the cabins were closed 2 hours before arrival. Rude, unfriendly crew. Cabin though was good. Did expect much more from a Cretan company. Will definitely switch to Minoan lines.
Yes, sometimes things go wrong, but the overall experience is good
I travel to Greece every year. The Asterion 11 is a very comfortable ship. I travelled from Venice to Igoumenitsa in June 2022. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the ship was spotless and the staff were always very helpful and professional even when dealing with difficult passengers, which I witnessed. The food was good and the staff are excellent at keeping the dining room clean. We arrived on time and the disembarcation for cars was handled better than other ferries. This company does its utmost but passengers are sometimes too impatient and overcritical. When I have made a complaint about a delay I have always had excellent customer service.
Very unfriendly staff and service
Very unfriendly staff and service. Starting from the entrance of the vessel. They dont greet you and talk in an agressive manner to non greek guests and demand you to put facemask on while they themselves dont wear one and allow locals to remove it but if we do we get yelled at to put back. All this from a poor country relying on tourism...... avoid Anek lines at all costs!!!

I'm writing this review during the third delayed hour and it's gonna be more. They start fueling the vessel when the trip were already one hour late. And if you ask what the hell is going on, the crew answers with no shame, even with a wide smile.
We are gonna lose the connection to another trip and nobody is going to do anything or even apologize. Avoid at all costs!!! Don't let them ruin your holidays!!!

even a Greek tragedy doesn't meet what we had to deal with. outbound departure foreseen 14h15 Ancona left at 18h.30 reason why ?? Do you know it ?? inbound stuck for moren then THREE hours in the beneath car deck as a garage port was 'broken' ???? in plain season. information NO excuses YOU FOOL captain speaking barely English on an international journey 🤔🤔🤔 if this boat has an issue on full sea start praying as you will be left to yourself. Even the word worst experience is too gentle for this imbecile crew

The worst ferry company
Very, very, but very bad company. We had a ferry at 9:25. There was a delay of 5 hours and the company didn't advise us by mail or SMS about that so we lost an entire day of vacation at port waiting for the ferry because we had just delivered our car. Only advantage: it is cheap, but there is a reason why...worst ferry organization ever found!
Anek Igoumenitsa Greek Tragedy
Anek Igoumenitsa - Ancona. We do this already for 25 years, just because there is no alternative. Camping on deck is for us the only option. But it is a Greek tragedy every year!! Never on Schedule, al least 2 hours too late, but we have also waited till the middle of the night. The " open deck" is so filled with campers and trucks that you can hardly move and breath. Personel is rude. Terrible!

Foarte urat. Nu mergeti cu feribotul daca nu vreti sa raciti. Pentru cei sensibili la aerul conditionat nu luat feribotul sa stati 10 ore in continuu pe jos sau pe unde apucati ca sa vi se strice vacanta. Nu ofera nimic. Un personal ce lasa de dorit se comporta ca si cum esti un sac de gunoi ce este luat dintr-o parte si lasat in alta parte. Isi vad doar interesul lor, au pus doar scaune cu mese ca sa le mai faci si consumati ca apoi sa stai pe scaun 10 ore. Sunt 2 canapele amarate ce e bataie pe ele. Daca prinzi un loc pe o canapea esti norocos daca nu stai in cur pana iti vine rau. Au o sala de mese si in loc sa mai puna canapele au pus tot scaune cu mase. Aerul conditionat la maxim tinut sa te congelezi. Din pacate eu am racit. Cand am rugat sa se dea aerul putin mai incet am fost luata in gluma si mi s-a spus ca daca nu imi convine sa merg pe punte la 1:00 dimineata. Neserios. Oameni dormeau pe jos fara nimic sub ei. Au plecat multi raciti si tuseau. Motiv cabinele erau pline si nu mai aveau unde dormi restu. Lacamia e mare si le convine sa ia banu pe nimic. Conditii de rahat.
Immense delay - tiny compensation
Ferry from Patras to Venice with 9 hours delay! No information upon departure, no assistance, no excuse. After sending a compalint we learnt that the minumum compensation of 25 % is only valid for cabin price, and not for the full ticket price as vehicle or trailer. As reference we received an attached letter in Greek language. This kind of customer service is very poor inside Europe
Anek.gr has outdated covid travel info and claims it’s my fault
Anek.gr thinks it’s a splendid idea, to publish covid related information on their site about travel restrictions that are outdated by a month. As a result, I missed the ferry and had to drive 460km further at my costs. Their customer service did not even admit their mistake and basically just told me to f off.
Don’t travel with them if you can avoid it.
