One star off due to money out of pocket (there are ways to aid with that, but still money is money.) So far, it’s only been about two months in. The program is great itself - uses certain tools that I might have never known otherwise, at helping with finding the winning product. After a month long…I’ve found my product! It’s pretty tough and I must say, at times it gets discouraging not finding a potential product - but persistence is key! Love how there are weekly classes to attend (just like a real online school). Assistance is available most of the time. Platform is easy to use and learn. Resources are plentiful. All the Shifu are very helpful. Can’t wait to start launching soon! One other thing though - wish we get to have more one-on-one (w/Shifu Justin) after each phase without having to post our wins. I believe that would help ensure our success tremendously!

Had an awesome 1-on-1 session with Justin through the AmzShifu program—super productive and honestly one of the most valuable meetings I’ve had so far. We covered everything from listing strategy and budgeting for launch. Justin helped me realize the importance of mapping out a dummy listing and campaign to get a handle on real costs before pulling the trigger on inventory. My current margin is tight (~29%), so all early profits are going straight back into marketing. He walked me through supplier relationship best practices (relationship > contracts) and gave clarity around brand registry—holding off for now but looking into the $300 A+ content option as a workaround. Honestly, the structure and mentorship in this program is next level. Left the session with a clear list of next steps and real confidence in my launch plan. Appreciate the insight, Justin!

Good program so far. It requires a lot of effort and self-taught. It’s not for everyone. You have to be self-motivated to succeed in this program. But the community is great. I’m in PR phase and my mentor, Minh is such a responsive and knowledgeable person. I wish I have more chance to have one on one call for more specific questions.

I’ve had some time to step back and reflect on my experience with an Amazon mentorship program I joined last year. I want to be real with you—no sugarcoating—just my honest thoughts, the good and the bad, so you can decide if it’s worth it for you.

I paid $15,000 to join the group mentorship program. Later, I found out that some people paid less, and others paid more, which felt a little off to me. Run with that information how you want it.

The program expected you to do all the work yourself. If you had questions, you had to ask in the group sessions. There was no real hand-holding, just a community forum and some group calls.

One of the biggest shocks was how misleading the startup costs were. They made it seem like you could get started with just $3,000–$5,000. Let me tell you—that’s almost impossible if you want to be successful. In reality, you need at least $30,000, and even then, there’s no guarantee you’ll make it.

Plus, they didn’t mention all the upfront costs that add up fast (Legal fees, Amazon subscription fees
,Software and tools). This is just expected.

If you’re thinking about starting an Amazon brand, be ready to wear a lot of hats. You’re not just a business owner you’re also a: designer, marketer, social media manager, amazon specialist, inventory manager, etc)

If you don’t have the time or skills to handle all of this, you’ll have to spend even more money hiring people to help.

To be fair, they did provide some helpful mindset tools and book recommendations. But honestly? You can get the same knowledge for free by watching Tony Robbins videos and Googling top wealth-building book

The Biggest Issue—No Help After Launch

One thing they really failed to cover was what happens after your first product launch. I’ve seen a lot of people in the program get excited when they start making sales—those “orange bars” on Amazon look great. But the problem? They don’t realize that just because you’re making sales doesn’t mean you’re actually making a profit. Advertising, returns, and hidden fees eat away at your margins.

My Personal Takeaway

I was sold on a dream, and I chased it. Do I regret it? No, because I take full responsibility for my choices. But I also spent a lot of money, and in the end, my product launch wasn’t successful.

Would I recommend this program to others? Not unless you really know what you’re getting into. That’s why I’m sharing this—to be completely transparent.

My Advice to Anyone Considering This

Before you drop thousands of dollars on a mentorship program, do your own research. There are so many free resources and online communities that can teach you what you need to know. No guru will magically make you successful—you have to put in the work yourself.

Joining this FBA coaching program was one of the worst investments I’ve ever made. The information they provide is basic and easily accessible through tools like ChatGPT or even a simple Google search. In fact, let me save you thousands of dollars right now: open ChatGPT and type, “Write me a detailed to-do list for launching an FBA business.” Congratulations—you now have essentially everything this program offers, minus the hefty price tag.
The 5-star reviews you see are heavily biased because they incentivize participants to leave glowing reviews early on in exchange for a “free gift.” Even Trustpilot flags this under “May use Unsupported Invitation methods.” Don’t be fooled.
There’s absolutely nothing proprietary or groundbreaking in their so-called “training.” The delivery of the content is disorganized, repetitive, and designed to keep you spinning in circles so you feel like you’re making progress, but in reality, you’re just wasting your time.
The membership fee is absurd for what you get. They charge you $10,000+ for the program, and you’ll need another $5,000–$15,000 to launch your product. Worse yet, they actually encourage people to open credit cards and go into debt to pay for this, leaving many drowning in debt from both the program fees and failed product launches.
Despite working hard and following their “expert guidance,” the coaches did nothing to prepare me for the real challenges of selling on Amazon. Anytime I faced an issue, typically their advice boils down to “contact Amazon support.” When I asked for critical help for an issue I had their responses were delayed, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.
Let’s talk about the so-called “success stories” they parade around. These are snapshots of people at their peak sales moment, but they don’t show the full picture. Ask about their profit margins after factoring in the cost of goods and advertising—you’ll find most are barely breaking even on their first batch of inventory. And what about the long-term results? How many are still profitable or even in business a year later? That’s the real question they won’t answer. The number of people within this community compared to those launched is abysmal and those who actually have long term success is even such a smaller number.
Save your money, your time, and your sanity. Do your own research or use free resources like ChatGPT to learn how to launch an FBA business. This program is nothing more than an overpriced scam targeting those eager to succeed in the FBA world. Shameful.
And before the owner tries to discredit me by calling this a “fake review” or claiming I’m a competitor, let me make one thing clear: I am a real, paying customer who has been burned by this program.
