Ordered a set of clubs from the online store. Order processed, money taken from my account. Subsequently received an email informing me that the item didn’t exist and that my ordered was cancelled and a refund would apply and I’d get my money back up to 5 days later. I emailed back querying how they could justify advertising items that weren’t for sale. Received a “this a non responsive email account” (would have been nice to know that at the start). I’m not normally whiney but that triggered me so I got onto the website and raised a formal issue. I then received an email informing me that their website isn’t “live” in terms of linking to their inventory (false advertising?) but that new Directors has recently purchased the company and inherited legacy IT systems and that I should appreciate that it’s expensive and complex to implement upgrades. Far be it from me to sully the name of any online retailer but I would’ve thought that being able to check that an item is available for sale would be a prerequisite of processing a money transfer. Appalling service. Never again.

I wish I looked at the reviews before ordering from here, I ordered a set of Irons and half of the set arrived, I have emailed the customer service email address 4 times and heard nothing back! Avoid ordering anything from American Golf.

Ordered a set of irons online, selected option to collect in store in 2 hours, arrived at store, they had the irons in stock but wouldn’t let me have them as “you can’t buy online and collect from stores stock, need to wait until they’re delivered to store”. They were sat there on display & available but wouldn’t let me take the items I’d paid for. Furious.

Orders can’t be fulfilled. Part of order arrived as scheduled, 1 part removed as out of stock (although still for sale online) other part of order delayed by a week. Customer service non existent, blame previous owners…

Shocking service provided !

I had redeemed £150 voucher to buy a Taylor Made Spider putter. When delivered it arrived with no packaging , damage to the paint on the grip and with a Rife head cover.

It was then sent back and I had tried again on a different colour of the same style. The order was then cancelled 3 days later, however this time I had now £250 in credit in vouchers. The order was cancelled due to no stock / not meeting their standards before dispatch.

I asked is there any similar putters in stock on the website as the 3 I liked were still listed and available to buy, I was told no. I asked why was they still in stock and they replied they are trying to improve their stock management system.

I then had to spend more money to get the next best thing I liked on the website.

Do not shop here , waste of time !

I required a new driver and as l am now 73 l need all the help l can get from the technology that is out there.Anthony at High Leigh explained very clearly the process and what the final product should produce.With his help I settled on the Ping G430 X Max.We had a good discussion and he also recommended a few things that might improve my set up.All in all l know l made the correct choice in going to High Leigh, American Golf.Thank you, Anthony.John Barton.

Avoid they sell items not it stock and then say it's going to be shipped out the next day then decide to cancel the order a few hours later no apology or sorry for inconvenience or offer anything else absolute shambles.

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering a Garmin golf watch from American Golf. It never arrived. Trying to get any help from the so called after sales service was long winded and painful. They simply could not be bothered to deal with it, cancelled the order and okay I got a refund but not the watch I ordered which they now refuse to sell me for the price I bought it for just a few weeks ago. Shockingly bad, and I was a longstanding customer.

Really disappointed with custom fitting. I recently purchased the a set of Taylormade Qi irons, I tested a few sets in shop and found this best for me from the trail, I got them custom frittered and trusted the sales guy to sort out all the details, however I am very unhappy with the grips, I was told he would pick grips to my specification, however turns out they came with the cheapest Golf Pride grips possible, they feel awful, no where near the quality of even the display models on the shop, feel guttered because brand new clubs only tested once at the range, am going to need the re gripping immediately

Sale Tag €34.99 + Tag on item €34.99. Price at checkout was much dearer. Sales assistant called Manager who told me price was wrong as it came up on computer as dearer. Item would only be sold to me at dearer price. Several items of clothing had no price tag attached. I was buying 3 items which would have totalled over €140 but instead left the 3 items behind. As a regular customer in the Dundrum store I was most disappointed.
Previously the computer was down + a gift card could not be processed at the till. The item was put by for me with a promise from the same Manager to phone me when the I.T problems were sorted. Not a word from him, 4 days later I went into the store again + got my purchase + was told by another staff member that I.T problem was sorted days previously.

Thought I’d be safe dealing with a well known company. Awful process from start to finish. Missed delivery timescale (4 days in a row) awful customer service (lies, failed callbacks and no one interested in owning an issue) honestly never had an experience like it and lots of other companies out there that offer much better value and actually provide service if anything was to go wrong. AVOID

Ordered online. They won't exchange the clubs despite being brand new and never used. They told me to use golf bidder to recover the money who are offering a third of what I paid. Awful company Won't be shopping here again. Absolutely useless

Cant get in touch on the phone as the number advertised on the website is not in order 01925 939999.

Took £470 for a set of clubs online & then later on told me they were out of stock - now left without clubs & money for 5 days - rubbish service!

I ordered some gloves and balls totalling £120. I didn’t receive an order confirmation until two days later and the items never made it. Evri, who are the worst of the worst didn’t even attempt delivery for three days, not AG’s fault, but the customer service after was. I was told the parcel would be delivered back to them and at that time they would issue a refund and it could take up to ten days. I get it if I was returning items and they wanted to check the condition, but I never received the parcel and Evri had confirmed it was being returned to them. I called again asking for the refund to be issued and begrudgingly it was, however there’s no sign of the money. I didn’t receive a refund invoice so I doubt it’s even been processed. Poor from them.

Word of warning for anyone looking at the custom fit option. I placed an order on the 18th of Feb to be told at point of order 2-3 weeks.

Week two chased up with the store. At this point I had not received any type of order confirmation, or electronic receipt of payment.

It was at this point I was then sent the above, and advised it should be here for the 14th/15th

This is where it gets better. When In the store on the 14th as I had a lesson with one of the pros. I was told there was still no sign of said driver. The 15th I was there with a friend practising. Again I went in and asked about the order. Only to be greated by some very confused face on the sales exc. He then proceed to waffle some BS and advised they would email Ping as the order shouldn't have taken this long (please bare in mind that when I was advised it should be the 14/15th as it was at the dispatch centre)

Now. After being told in store on my last visit that they have sent it out, and I would receive it on the 25th.

I emailed CS to explain my disappointment. They are now advising me that the order can take upto 6 weeks, and they expect it in store on the 2/4/24.

Don't waste your time. Go to your local pro shop.

Another online mess. After my last experience of online shopping with American Golf I should have known better.
Still, I gave them another chance..... silly me.
Waiting for a new driver to be delivered this week after ordering on 8th March 2024 I get an email today 13th March 2024 to say they have cancelled my order.
Flipping boiling again. This is the worst online business I have had the displeasure of dealing with.
How something so easy can be cocked up is beyond me. However it looks like AG are masters at this after reading more reviews. I can't believe all this happens accidentally it must be part of their training program.
Not worth second chances.

Tried to spend 2 gift cards brought for me valued at £100. The cards had no expiration date on them but the back of the card says to use within a year. Unfortunately they were 11 months out of date and therefore worthless. Never buy gift cards from this place because they steal it if it’s not spent within a year. I think there should be a law so that if the cards aren’t used before they expire then the monies spent should go back on the card that purchased them. I will never buy anything from these greedy thieves again.
